I work with a guy that does nice embroidery work, and may get some hats done. Curious on what size people would want. I am unsure as to what price they would be, but i want to do plain black fitted hats. Lets just say $35 bucks for rite now, hats will be good quality hats, not a cheap-o w/ cardboard brim.

would they have the flexy type band?

i dont plan on getting anything w/ a scrunched up part for stretch oposite the brimm. I really want to fine one like a Honda hat i have where 2 of the 3 rear seams is stretchy, along with the witore band at the bottom of the hat. I am open to suggestions on hats also tho, if anyone knows of nice ones for a decent price let me know. Also, material of the hat is open to suggestions, i have found the trucker style, Poly mesh, wool, and cotton. I'de like to go w/ the cotton as its durable, and not too heavy so it'll breathe a bit. I am also finding the sizing to be diffrent for a lot of them. Some go by numbers, and others the S/M, L/XL. I'll keep this thread updated when i figure more out.

I like the all cloth hats with the brass clamp thing and the cloth adjusting band over the stretchy or plastic.

As per what Chem said in another post regarding SCP gear, he would prefer they go through a Mod such as he or Andy. Please PM him about it before continuing, or if you've already discussed this with him I'll butt out. :)

Im ready to see some designs. And id prefer to go with the flex fit variety. Should they be embroidered it would be possible that they could toss a few of the hats amoryl mentioned into the machine.

I have pmed him on it recently. I havent came up w/ any of my own designs, but mite to throw some together soon. I was hoping to use a fimiliar SCP logo but dont know if thats gonna happen, i dont want to step on any toes. I simply want to make up some hats w/ a logo on the front, and stockclasspaintball.com wrote around the back. If there is requests for strap style hats that can most likely be done. Special order hats can be done upon request, as long as they are available through the same provider i will get the fitted style from. I dont want to order though more than one hat retailer, and the more i do the cheaper they are. I will be getting at least 30 black ones to do my way, and some other styles if they are requested. The ones i do in bulk will be much cheaper hopefully than i initialy quoted, probably closer to $25. I'm not looking to make any money for myself really.

I don't like to play with any of the hats with the hole for adjustment - they really need to be fitted - or the stretchy ones.

I always get sun-burned on my forehead and then get shot there when I wear a regular hat backwards while playing.

The only adjustable hats i will do will be special order, and i doubt anyone will request the cheesy plastic nipple strap hats as they are not comfy or durable.

If the hats are going to be fitted then will the brim be flat like other fitted hats, because i like my hats with flat brims.

I picked up a flex fit hat at EMR and I'm sold, they're a lot higher quality then the ones I remember from my youth (I was thinking of the ones exactly like the adjustable hats, ie. plastic ones or even the buckle ones but it was just a strap of scrunch elastic) So I'd no longer be opposed to the flex style hat.

The New Era HQ is in downtown Buffalo. I want see if they make runs if you have a large enough lot. I highly doubt it, but a SCP fitted hat would straight up GANGSTAH. :lol:

I bet at least 30 hats would sell. it would probably be closer to 100, i'e get a few so when one wore out i had a spare, and maybe even a couple specificaly to play in. As of rite now my own personal plan to do some hats is delayed a few months as i am investing a decent amount of time and money into the 5v5 007 tourney i am trying to put together. The rest of the guns are on their way, so i am getting closer.

i could see doing 30 or even 50 easy...but personally I'd not commit to 100 without at least half of them confirmed pre-orders. ie paid for pre-orders or at least a deposit.

I like mesh hats, espcially for the summer
