Title: general chatter
ladymarshal - June 26, 2004 11:40 AM (GMT)
;) Ok Ok so are we supposed to smack talk each other Or what?
my son was funny, I was going over equip hes not allowed to touch
and he said markers, and I said and tanks, he looked at me funny & said:
"whats a tank?
oh you mean a tank! and started pretending to drive a tank around..."
course he was being funny because he knows we dont use them.
thats my boy.
Maverick - June 26, 2004 02:00 PM (GMT)
Is Jimmy afraid to come out and play?? :o
some definitions to start with:
Pandemonium: A State of Extreme confusion and disorder
Maverick: someone who exhibits great independence in thought and action
Jimmy: a short crowbar
hmmmm, seems SCP already has an advantage... :D
amhildreth - June 28, 2004 10:27 PM (GMT)
feh. I'm not too worried about facing off against a bunch of 12-gram fumbling, paint dropping, part making, rock tripping, "out" yelling, shot missing, ball breaking, duct tape using, barrel polishing, rock-n-cocking, hopper snubbing, bunker hiding, flag losing Marshals that will crumble and run to their mommas at the first sign of a skirmish against some 21'st century SCP'ers. Bring 'em on!
mike31c - June 28, 2004 10:41 PM (GMT)
you scp'ers talk and talk and talk.
Bah, by the sounds of your voices, the Marshals will hunt you down and shoot each and every single one of yall in the mask.
You SCP worms WILL know the taste of paint in the morning!
And what exactly is a 21st century scp'ers, amhildreth? Someone who whines to the barista when their cafe mocha with a sprig of mint does not have enough foam?
amhildreth - June 28, 2004 10:44 PM (GMT)
did I mention dress wearing?
mike31c - June 28, 2004 10:47 PM (GMT)
no need to be jealous with the dress wearing amhildreth
amhildreth - June 28, 2004 10:56 PM (GMT)
nah, Jimmy looks far better in a dress than I ever could. I just hope that we get alot of players coming out for this one, because I know that the Marshals will suck up all of the walk-on newbies so they can raise their talent pool. :P
mike31c - June 29, 2004 02:27 AM (GMT)
actually, the plan was to take all the GOOD pump/stock players. You know, the ones that know that tube thing on the top of the gun is not a telescope.
The ones we were going to send to the SCP team were all the one's who can't figure it's one pump, one pull of the trigger.
In fact: LadyMarshal!
Set a Marshal on the chrono and take ALL the players that Don't keep pulling on the trigger. If it takes them more then 2 pulls of the trigger before they realize they have to pump the gun, send them to the SCP side. It would be easy pickings for the Marshals.
Even if the SCP side takes 100 players, 90 of them will just keep pulling on the trigger and the Marshals can pick them off, One Shot at a Time.

How many ? 2? okay I'll have to go down and pull like 6 or 7 and play for SCP
But, honestly I dont think I could make it to EMR. :(

well, seeing as most of them are going to be too afraid to show up - it looks like you qualify as a Marshal...congrads!

we play stock VS SEMI & ELECTO players
playing against YOU with my PGP will be
a step DOWN for me.
*YAWN*
next.....
mike31c - June 29, 2004 03:18 PM (GMT)
need your mocha yet general Mav?
Now for the rest of you tank using, hopper loading, pod carrying, jersey wearing, "what the hell was that pssst sound", wanna be a Paintball Marshals, there are a few things you need to remember:
1) Most pump guns has what is called a "Safety" Button or Switch. You need to push it/flip the switch before most pump guns will fire
2) Most pump guns do NOT need batteries
3) Most pump guns do NOT need batteries for their Hoppers, unless you are one of those lazy, "I can't be like a True Stock Class Player" that uses a Halo or something
4) The TOP tube on PGP's are NOT telescopes
5) The clear tube on Phantom's also are NOT telescopes
6) A 12gram can NOT be refilled
7) a 12gram gives most people at most 20-30 shots PER 12gram
8) In order to get more shots out of a 12gram, you have to REPLACE the 12gram (stay with me now!) with a NEW 12gram
9) unlike paintballs, if you find a 12gram on the ground, and IF the top of the 12gram has not been pierced, it is still usuable.
10) Just who are the Marshals? They are the ones sending you cafe mocha drinking, PA wanting, paint-hosing, "this is a pump what?" wanna be's to the dead box.
:P
amhildreth - June 29, 2004 07:44 PM (GMT)
blah blah blah. Maybe we should have a competition called "curb surfing", where you scrounge through other players' garbage after dark to try and find parts for your relics - but with all their experience, I'm sure the Marshals would win that one easily. Nice swipe Missy, but maybe you should try a slingshot for faster reload times than that modified airsoft pistol of yours. As for the Marshals and their "old school" ways, The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy summed it up best with the line "The secret is to bang the rocks together, guys"
Cargo - June 29, 2004 07:57 PM (GMT)
RFLAMOA :D :D :D HAHAHAHAHAH
mike31c - June 29, 2004 08:07 PM (GMT)
you know amhildreth
The more smack you speak about the Marshals, the more I am convinced that you:
1) Want to be a Marshal
2) is afraid of what others might think if you are seen with the Marshals
3) you Really want to go the True Stock Class route but is afraid
4) you got WAY too much time on your hands
5) Hitchhikers guide is SO 20th century.
:P
amhildreth - June 29, 2004 08:29 PM (GMT)
alrighty - let's dissect this misinformation a little:
The more smack you speak about the Marshals, the more I am convinced that you:
1) Want to be a Marshal
too late - I've been a member of the Upstate NY Marshals for almost 2 years
2) is afraid of what others might think if you are seen with the Marshals
true - but I'm mostly afraid that their ball-fumbling hamfistedness might rub off on me
3) you Really want to go the True Stock Class route but is afraid
I own and use several stock-class pistols, but ya gotta give up the mullet and AMC Pacer sometime..
4) you got WAY too much time on your hands
only at work - for what I'm paid, I'll gladly waste as much time as possible to offset the financial difference
5) Hitchhikers guide is SO 20th century.
and sadly, it's still more modern than most of the relics that the Marshals wind up shooting themselves in the feet with
;)
mike31c - June 29, 2004 09:17 PM (GMT)
YOU TRAITOR! (did I spell that correctly? )
you call yourself a Marshal?
and you stand against General Jim? :vangry:
Turn in your Badge!
:P
amhildreth - June 29, 2004 09:25 PM (GMT)
seeing as alot of us share double-duty between boards, if it was truly just the Marshals against just SCP, the games might be a little slanted to the tune of 210 vs 3 players. That could be rather amusing however, if the 3 get a 5 minute headstart....
mike31c - June 29, 2004 09:27 PM (GMT)
well YOU are lucky that I am stuck here in Calif. Otherwise it would be 4 against 210!
And I will take that 5 minute headstart. Heck, I wll be nice and only take a 4 minute head start!
Besides, yall will be just pulling on the trigger and forgetting to pump. this IS a pump game! Remember that!
hmm, maybe I should practice my "yeah, lower your heads in shame! you just got eliminated by a stock class gun" speech now. Just in Case
One more thing! I use Sheridans! I am NOT going to shoot myself in the foot! Mask maybe but certinally NOT my foot! :P
ladymarshal - June 29, 2004 09:51 PM (GMT)
I have to laugh here
as it seems the OLD SCHOOL PLAYERS are really the only ones that can sling words as accurately as we can sling paint!
Jimmy says if you can't razz your friends who can you razz?
now Amhildreth...
where were we...ah...yes...
| QUOTE |
| Nice swipe Missy, but maybe you should try a slingshot for faster reload times than that modified airsoft pistol of yours. |
now if you noticed, in my last statement
it seems I can smack talk like I play
a woman of few shots and few words
Both one shot one kill.
now sit down before you hurt yourself
B)
mike31c - June 29, 2004 09:56 PM (GMT)
now THAT was a HIT!
No need for a paintcheck there!
Meph - June 30, 2004 12:07 AM (GMT)
Why would I be afraid of fellow pump players? I know the tricks, I know the sneaks, I know the razzamatazz. So obviously that stuff wont' work on me. And on top of that... I'm not going up against my usual opponent. Players with more paint being shot that I have hairs on my head. If I can go to tournaments with my Illusion and still win games against skilled people using their Matrix.... I have a feeling SCPers won't be any problem at all.
Going to have a record-setting gogging day on the enemy. That's for sure.
In fact that's almost worthy of a ribbon/prize. Person shooting the most gog shots in the game. Not receiving, because then Maverick would win! But rather one who is gogging others.
Can't wait to see what happens. The bust disk gods are pissed at EMR that weekend, people with tanks are not going to be having a fun time! With all that sun this year at EMR if you ain't got 12grams (SPCers) then you're just askin for trouble. You guys won't be getting any hopper shots, we don't have hoppers! We won't have big bulky tanks weighing us down, we're more mobile.
You're trying to be new-age but you're still busted up. Like putting chrome bumpers on a rusted pinto, ain't workin! You're still blowing up at the slightest tap. You'll hold water on the field like the Titanic. And snap just as easily.
But best of luck to you guys. There are easier things than SCP winning this game however. Like nailing Jell-O to a tree.
Maverick - June 30, 2004 01:27 AM (GMT)
the flaw in that logic is plain,
the argument borders on lame,
for what you forget,
will make you regret,
any SCP opponent you ever saw..
We are not your normal opponents,
spraying paint and tossing semi components..
Youll be surprised,
when you see how our paint flies,
not in burst but single shots.
So when you feel that ball break,
upon your faceplate,
from where have youll no idea
Just look around,
youll hear not a sound,
but be sure an SCP player will be near..
Our equipment is varied thats true
from bolt action , to checkvalves, even pnue..
youll face every type, from hopper to night sights
even some held together with glue..
We embrace all thats pump
no attitudes or pomp
and in the end these things will be your undue...
:D
mike31c - June 30, 2004 02:05 AM (GMT)
I think you are having WAY too much fun with this General Mav. Where did you come up with that poem?
As for them tanks blowing their burst discs? Well talk over at MCB is saying, apparently, the people filling them tanks were also not using a scale at the last CC.
amhildreth - June 30, 2004 09:45 AM (GMT)
OT - I've been noticing that alot lately - fields not bothering to use a scale. Not a trend I'm in favor of seeing...
mike31c - June 30, 2004 02:07 PM (GMT)
OT - Well ok, I've also seen my local fields do that w/o a scale
But for some strange reason, if the player has a tank SOLD from the field or us using a Field Rental, or, you know, buddies with the people behind the counter, they will use scales.
Joe/Janes Schmoes (BTW Anyone else watch that show?) , and they will use "fill it" and THEN charge $5.00 to replace the burst disc OR $5.00 for a "rental Tank" <_<
ladymarshal - June 30, 2004 05:17 PM (GMT)
images flooding through my head
of pumpers lined up in the produce section
to use the food scale!
oh man that was funny...
(wiping a tear brought from laughter)
scale - schmale
 gimmie a 12 gram.
let us not forget folks
BIG GAME saturday
MISSIONS are worth points
-not people.
nice rendition of
"the was an old man from nantucket" there Mav.
mike31c - June 30, 2004 06:09 PM (GMT)
oh that was a "real" poem? ok
Poor General Maverick
sitting on a muppet
filling up pods and tanks
Along came a Marshal
and shot one at his tuffet ( )
while Maverick yelled "hit"
and he scurried away.
Ok that was bad <_<
ladymarshal - June 30, 2004 06:23 PM (GMT)
Oh man!
Mav squashed Kermit!
sorry...but yeah that was relly bad...
let's leave the excessive firing to the pumpers huh
were better at the quick fatal blows.

amhildreth - June 30, 2004 07:17 PM (GMT)
the way that frog rolled over and died, it should have been wearing a Marshals' badge.
Now, where were we....
EMR ran a pump-only game
Paintball Marshals and SCP came
The Marshals lost bad
And it made them all sad
That their old-school stock ways are so lame.
who loves ya, Missy! :P
ladymarshal - July 1, 2004 05:49 AM (GMT)
come to think of it
we never DID do the official
"PINNING" of you badge on amhildreth....
 well do it military style.
course being as I am so short, I may
be pinning it a few feet LOWER.... :o

mike31c - July 2, 2004 01:15 AM (GMT)

Do we have to treat you and the rest of the floatsam... excuse me, ahem, your team, like that Maverick? I mean I know I could sit to lose 20-30 LBS myself but I aint that wide (yet)
