Pictures aren't showing up for me any more, most of the time. Ones that I've posted myself, ones I've viewed before, etc... they aren't showing up, just a "user posted image" comment.

What's the deal?

Just let me know if you think of anything, it's really hampering my viewing experience.

Have you tried reloading your browser? Occasionally I will experience a hiccup with FF. I just reinstall FF when this happens. (repair I suppose)

Your computer may have some viruses. I know mine does, and a lot of websites are inacessible for me because of it. I can get to the site, but no images or buttons will show up. I havent had a problem with images here on SCP however.

logged in, no viruses. I'm on vista ult. and it would surprise me if it had a lot to do with it. This OS is about as stable as my uncle Umph. We get his nickname from the sound he makes when he bounces off the padded door of his cell.

My browser does this at work...it's likely a firewall.

Mine as well. I was told the "User Posted Images" are from file hosting sites that my work blocks. I can only view pics hosted at Photobucket.
