Title: Third EyE Vision aka 3EV
Description: A place to learn and discuss the Vision!

the underdog - January 8, 2008 11:19 PM (GMT)
First post...will it be the only post? who knows. anyways so i'm going to try to use this post to talk about who/what 3EV are and what we stand for.

3EV is an organization formed around a common bond...Pump Play. Many of us only play pump, others dabble in both semi/electro; either way the common bond is there.

Thru the many travels of 3EV in it's many forms we've learned one truth in paintball-most pumpers have some common bond, a kind of respect for the game that for some reason permeates thru most pumpers. Whether rec, scenario, tourny, any style seems to carry with it a specific aura shared by the majority. We at 3EV embraced that energy that is "the pumper" and use that as our gateway to our organization.

3EV is all about a good time, we take ourselves very lightly in that we stress only a few things with seriousness:

1. Have Fun! 'nuff said. Smiles for miles, b/c win or lose we make sure that we are having a ball. We play our game to the best of our abilities but keep having fun as a priority over all other concerns.

2. Play with honor and integrity. If you wear the 3EV logo in any shape or form, you best represent a fair and safe way of play, regardless of what may "be at stake". There are always controversial calls at tournies, but we stress letting refs handle their business and taking the refs word as the truth. Discussion is best left to the captains and head refs in the appropriate time.

Third EyE Vision is an organization first and foremost, we've got no dues, no fees, and no minimal requirements for being present at a certain amount of events. We have formed a competitive "team" to represent the organization in a competitive format.

Being based out the Middle Tn region, our travels have had a focus on our region. With many travels into KY. and IN. under our belt we've enjoyed the competition of the respected regions. But we've also dabbled in a bit of travel here and there outside of our region. With representatives present at 3 of the last 4 Pump Pandemoniums and Team that has represented the organization at the NSA Nationals in 06 in Anaheim CA. and the Mid West OSC's in St. Louis MO. We feel that we've played against some of the best pumpers in the country and win or lose we came back from every event stoked. We've also locally hit up some semi/electro tournies and have done surprisingly well. For whatever reason when we play pump on electro we play like beasts... :bang:

Ever since the invention of the semi automatic paintball marker, i'm sure the term "Pump Revolution" has been around. But we at 3EV have kind of taken that simple term and rallied around it. We think it's simplicity is in of essence what we stand for. We are not militant in our approach to pump play, and rarely will you see us "actively" pushing pump play as the way of elite. However the "Pump Revolution" is not about forcing our view point on the masses, the "Pump Revolution" is an observance of ours in which we've witnessed change. We've witnessed unthinkable support and dedication to the pump genre and it is indeed inspiring, something we're willing to battle for and stand behind.

The Revolution was here before 3EV and will continue well after 3EV is just a name spoken by a few in memory and stories; but we think that what we are witnessing is indeed a Revolution, and we are all about bringing it to the masses. Subtely in a guerilla type manner the Revolution as witnessed thru the Vision of the 3rd EyE will be present in T-Shirts and gear available to those feeling the Revolution and Seeing the Vision, don't be afraid to ask what we've got and don't be afraid to embrace some crazy gear hittin the streets soon. Alright fellas, as the first piece of official news in this thread...

The XPPL is planning it's first event in February the 24th. It's in Louisville, on a Sunday.

that means that we'll rock out on saturday at some point, get settled and go from there. then leave on sunday.

i need to know who is a definite (as in can at some point give a non refundable entry type deposit) and who is is a possible. if we can get 6 we can roll 2 tight crews so lets see what we can do.

this will probably be our first pump tourny of the season and since it's indoors it should be comfy and protected from the elements. Those that went last year know that the competition will be tough, so bring your A game and bigboy pants.

lets represent the Vision and the Revolution doing how we do!

I'm in, who else...

thejayare - January 14, 2008 02:24 AM (GMT)
Put me down as a possible. I know that's canned, but that's how life is right now.

the underdog - January 22, 2008 10:55 PM (GMT)
Alright, so we've got a possible for the XPPL, which is a good start but it's going to be here before we know it. so let me know.

Also bigger news is the thought of travelling to where the fight is. I feel the essence of an unofficial championship in the works on a National Level. very cool.

Pumpenstein, the Hitmen, Flipped Out and others look to be gathering for some kind of rumble. Sounds good and sounds cool, another way for us to grind our teeth in experience. For those that may not know, those 3 teams probably represent the cream of the crop in the Pump Tourney scene. For those that battled in the NSA's i shouldn't have to say anything, for those not there...let me tell you a quick story:

Flipped Out rocked us so hard it took x2 games for my eyes to stop spinning. it involved some bunkering and probably me crying. The Hitmen? beat us in about 45 seconds to a minute, all of our players being shot out by the snake guy. with the gnarly move of sending one of their players up the middle to grab the flag and land in the my 40 bunker-----off the break! Pumpenstein we battled with playing well in a losing effort, but they are the current title holders of the National Pump scene as they won the only "National" pump tournament ever played so props are theirs with no question.

I'm down for this, Terd quickly said he's down (lunar juice influence? maybe), so we need about 3-4 others. This will likely involve some serious travelling to Texas or possibly SoCal again. Need to know who this appeals to, and how serious people are about not wanting to do this, but being able to do this.

We've got strong players on our roster and think we could put together some serious competition. But our roster isn't necessarily bursting at the seams. The few we have right now our quality ballers and i couldn't ask for a better bunch but we're limited in numbers.

if we plan for this and people start backing out, it's going to be pretty rough to salvage, so serious inquiries only.

This is where the big kids are playing this year, and i'm hungry. That being said, i don't want to go to lose and would like to have some pracitices and maybe work out some scrimmages with someone else on a 5 man pump level. The practices will be informal and not mandatory but i've got some serious kinks i need to work out. Jessie will be standing on a bucket practicing his snapshots but other than that it will be low key, but productive so be prepared.

let me know folks!

3DSteve - January 22, 2008 11:43 PM (GMT)
Total Greif would love to get together with you guys for a scrimmage sometime this spring/summer. Hopefully we can work something out.

the underdog - January 23, 2008 12:22 AM (GMT)
3DSteve, that would be great as ya'll have the right stuff. at the OSC's i saw a level play from ya'll that showed that ya'll have a solid squad with great individual skilled coupled with excellent teamwork, it would be super cool to work something out. I'm sure we could convince the guys from BangGang and MCG to hop on board.

perhaps we might be able to do a scrimmage in the sping and one in the summer, ya'll host one and we'll host the other? idk, but it's something to think about, our field just purchased an XBall field that is hella clean, it'd be nice to rock it out with ya'll again.

Matty - February 2, 2008 04:40 AM (GMT)
Let me do some negotiating with the mrs. about the xppl. Been wanting to play that ever since last year. When are ya'll ballin next? I need to see if I still can play after last times fiasco. A meeting of the best tourny pump players in the US. Hmmm, sounds fun. With the right amount of planning, and the proper time allowed this could happen for me as well. Once again back to the negotiating table......till then
thunder cloud metallic forever, and jeff is a gaf. hehe

thejayare - February 3, 2008 09:51 PM (GMT)
Whoa! Matty is still alive? Hey 3EV, next Sunday (2/10) is another team practice day at GAS. We need to get our butts out there and represent. Last time was a little rough, but it was the beginning of the season, and we had gun probs etc. We'll show them what for this time around. Who's in?

Matty - February 3, 2008 10:32 PM (GMT)
Yeah I'm hanging by a thread but I'm still here. I'm in for next weekend. Jeff told me about it and I want a piece of that action.

thejayare - February 4, 2008 01:04 AM (GMT)
Cha. Shooting mugs is just what the Doc ordered.

We have a really strong team, with Jeff, Jessie, you, Dan (Sheazer), and Daniel. I hope we can get some serious tourney action in this season.

the underdog - February 4, 2008 08:55 PM (GMT)
i'm down for shizzle!

see ya there sunday!

thejayare - February 5, 2008 02:36 AM (GMT)
^^ Sweet! I know of a couple teams that are cruisin' for a bruisin'.

Btw, I like how the site is coming together. A lot cleaner than our myspace...

Matty - February 7, 2008 02:18 AM (GMT)
Hope you guys are ready to freeze on sunday.....36 for the high. 56 on saturday..... but I'll trade temps for competition anyday.

thejayare - February 7, 2008 02:29 AM (GMT)
Whew! 36 is pretty nippy. Hafta bundle up.

Oh and check out what I'm getting next week.

Matty - February 7, 2008 03:18 AM (GMT)
Well it is TN they could be wrong for all we know. That is a aim body if I'm not mistaken with a wwa mini pump kit. Too bad you won't have it this weekend for a proper testing.

thejayare - February 7, 2008 04:34 AM (GMT)
No kidding! I wish it would be here. It's actually a Psychoballistics Superbolt body which is a like a clone/copy of the Dye Reflex. You like the "long slide" optional pump arm? I saw you made a post about that... I'll let you check it out.

Best part is, I'm getting it half-blocked! I can't stand back blocks/cocking rods. They hit me in the face.

the underdog - February 7, 2008 07:07 PM (GMT)
that's going to make one sweet halfblock! i've tossed around the idea of getting the prostock mid blocked/fast backed/turtled/whatever... with the right milling it could be pretty sweet, but yours has all the right angles of a dope halfer.

what is it that i'm looking at off the vert asa? is that an asa extender or some kind of male/female reg? also what kind of threading is the vert feed?

also i'm a bit worried thta GAS may not be open on sunday...they might have some kind of 40degree policy in place. i'll check with geiger.

so yeah, bundle up and get ready to rumble.

as far as WWA kits go, how far off are they from ccm dimensions. it seems the same basic concept...in that if ccm doesn't have the mini platform, maybe you could get a wwa mini kit and retro fit a ccm pump onto it? have no idea seeing as i've not really played around with the wwa's.

Matty - February 7, 2008 08:30 PM (GMT)
The kits I looked at are not compatible with ccm because the lower guide rod is not centered, they are to the right. The pump arm is cool, but I would need to feel it to give an honest opinion. Yeah I hope they are open because I can't go on saturday which would suck big time!!!! I made these plans and of course the wife was on saturday like a pack of badgers on a three legged lama in the middle of a snow storm..... or something.

Guy said that it's an inline reg. I don't know anything about it, and I'm going to post up to find out what it is. I forget what kind of threading on the feedneck. Have to look that up again. Think I'm going to post up my build to get info and opinions. Here's my inspiration (from WWA's website):

Ain't it gorgeous?

Jeff, Prostocks can be nice as halfblocks. You should do it!

Forecast is up to 37 for Sunday.

3DSteve - February 8, 2008 04:17 AM (GMT)
the neck is STO threaded (i'm 90% sure).
I had a dye minicocker with a CCM mini kit and loved it...
light, smooth, twistlock bolt and the slim frame was awesome (even if it's two finger)
I've been thinking about getting a superbolt to replace it.

klownsnypr - February 8, 2008 04:21 AM (GMT)
Can some random fat dude join you guys, lol. I'm still looking for the marker for me but I think I'm getting pretty close to finding it. Next up hopefully a CCMed Black Magic and maybe a duckslided Phantom.

the underdog - February 8, 2008 12:38 PM (GMT)
gas is open on sunday, bring your mittens, ear muffs, and yo arse!

Matty - February 8, 2008 05:40 PM (GMT)

thejayare - February 8, 2008 06:43 PM (GMT)
*Packs protective gloves*

Up to 38 for high, and down to 10% chance of rain. The way the forecast has been, it'll be like 75 on Sunday.

Matty - February 8, 2008 08:55 PM (GMT)
Ah just like the good old days. Remeber jeff I'm a ninja :ph43r: ....you'll have to catch my hands to shoot them, (Packs mittens). Yeah I'm wearing shorts just in case it is 75.

thejayare - February 10, 2008 02:29 AM (GMT)
I'm stoked. If I can only quit coughing, I'm good to go tomorrow.

Get this. I actually want to play some semi ball tomorrow too. I stink soooo badly at semi. I need some skills. Might compromise if someone lets me shoot an AT'ed sniper...

QAZ123 - February 10, 2008 02:48 AM (GMT)
Good luck tomorrow! It's gonna be like 5 degrees warmer up here!

Game on! B)

JB.

Sheazer - February 10, 2008 04:12 AM (GMT)
I wish I could go out ballin' but I'll be stuck at work. Least it's warm in the kitchen. Shoot some people in the head for me. :bang:

thejayare - February 11, 2008 04:31 AM (GMT)
