Title: SCP Bunkhouse
sunfisher89 - March 7, 2007 12:38 AM (GMT)
I'm assuming by the post from TM that we have a SCP bunkhouse up at EMR. What are the requirements for staying at the bunkhouse?

That you ask nicely.
...and it's strongly suggested that you bring a good food/drink to share.

I thought you might have to be a season passholder, so I figured I would ask. And now we know. Do I need to let you know ahead of time to make sure there is space available?

It would be nice, yes. Otherwise you may find yourself sleeping on the floor - which isn't all that different from a plywood bunk, I'm just saying...
The passholder thing is that in order to secure your own personal cabin, a team or group needs 15 passholders. You can have as many guests as you want.

Since the thread is titled SCP bunkhouse and I have another question pertaining to it. I think I"ll just add it in here.
I have no idea what the layout of EMR is, but how far away is the MCB bunkhouse from the SCP one? I really want to go visit all those lunatics too.

Within range of the muffin gun.
Pretty much just across the street and up one or two houses.

Make sure to ID yourself before approaching their brass as they get a little squirrley.

Last Fall Castle a fellow CanCon'er and myself were fortunate to have been invited to shelter within the SCP bunkhouse. One (or several) members brought boxes of goodies to sell/barter away. Any chance that is a frequent ocurence? I remember finding several goodies I had been looking for and I'm still searching for several more pieces for an Angel LCD restoration nearing completion.
Who knows what sorts of goodies are gathering dust in the collective closets of the SCP fraternity.

Ah, you're talking about Lexiones' treasure trove.
I'm not sure if he still has anything or not... or if he's even coming.
I haven't seen him post lately and I'm not sure how active he is.
I personally should have two fairly nice pump markers for sale but not too much in the way of spare parts.
But don't worry, the SCP bunkhouse will be jammin'.
(And you're welcome to stay, though you might have to use a couch to sleep on.)

Thanks Trojan. Yes, it was Lexiones. I remember falling short on cash and he trusted me enough to PayPal him the remainder as soon as I got home to my frozen igloo. One of the reasons I dig SCP, mutual trust and respect.
I just might take you up on your couch. I'm driving down w/ 'Machine' and I know he's staying w/ ya'll. I comitted myself already to crashing in a tent w/a couple CanCon'ers. However, if the weather ISN'T as beautiful as it was last spring, I just might abandon them to their fate and squirrel myself away if there is room. haha

what are the sizes of the bunks anyway? i'm wanting to pick up a cheap air mattress and dont want to get one too large for it
papaintballer - April 7, 2007 05:12 AM (GMT)
hmm.. machines coming u say.. noice! machines the man. I may just have to come down and hang out then. Last year we stood down at the bottom of the hill talking for like 2 hrs while deadguy sat there freezing in his t-shirt. lmao

Going from memory here, but they are about 7' long x 3.5' wide. A twin mattress will fit in there snug, a little overlapping. But it will fit. Brimstone uses one, and I have one that I'll probably bring up for Castle as well.

thats what i figured, Sam's club has this airmattress that is two twins that'll zip together to make a king...i think i'll pick it up then. this way i'll have a backup
