GROEBNER MILL, Ohio - A bizarre and tragic plane crash claimed six lives twenty-five minutes ago. Included in those six are director Spike Jonze, professional wrestling legend Terry "Hulk Hogan" Bollea, and former wrestler turned actor Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson. Also killed in the crash were professional wrestler "Nasty Boy" Brian 'Knobbs' Yandrisovitz, and pilots Gerry Resner and Saed Hamir.
According to sources close to Bollea, Jonze had chartered a jet to fly the six of them from Los Angeles to New York City. Bollea and Johnson were to star in a new Beastie Boys video, which Jonze was to direct.
Police report that the 1999 Raytheon Hawker 800 Jonze had chartered, lost all radio communications just forty-six seconds before it crashed.
Witnesses nearby report seeing the jet rapidly losing altitude before leveling off low, then abruptly nose-diving into a field, exploding on contact.
No further information is available at this time. We will have more details as they come in.
Spike Jonze, who's take-notice films like "Being John Malkovich" and "Adaptation," scored with audiences, was a pioneer in music videos. Directing such acts as the Beastie Boys and Moby.
Terry "Hulk Hogan" Bollea, needs no introduction. A slice of Americana, "the Hulkster" put professional wrestling on the map in the early 80's with his Rock-N-Wrestling Connection on MTV. Known for his 24" arms, which he proudly called pythons, Bollea won the hearts of America by body slamming the late 500 plus pound Andre "the Giant" in front of 93,000 people at WrestleMania III.
Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson, whose overwhelming charisma, in your face one-liners, and GQ good looks swept him to the top of the wrestling world. The "People's champion," as he was fondly known, crossed into Hollywood when he appeared as the Scorpion King in "The Mummy Returns." He then "laid the smack down" on tinsle town with his first starring role in the prequel to "The Mummy" the "Scorpion King." He has gone on to star in a few other hits as well. He was set to star in "Spy Hunter" soon.
