Title: This mod is doomed.
Description: /
haha - February 25, 2004 11:25 PM (GMT)
Any mod that starts out by showing off renders and doesn't even have any coding done is doomed from the beginning. You may as well take the site down right now since this is going nowhere.
aganami - March 11, 2004 03:55 AM (GMT)
To say that, is to not understand the true love of a Chrono-Trigger junkie. How many times have YOU finished the game and wanted to play through again to see how much better you can do? Once? Twice?
I really hope these guys finish up the project... I know I'll be getting it as soon as it's done.
chrono-addict - March 14, 2004 08:32 PM (GMT)
Riiiight.....
And anyways, even is this never finishes (which I highly doubt) it was fun to make the models and maps and all. But of course it will finish because we have so many reallt good people on this team..
TheBrain17 - March 15, 2004 07:33 PM (GMT)
It might take a lot of time, but we'll try ;).
Spectre - March 23, 2004 04:03 PM (GMT)
Believe it or not, I would almost agree with this asshole. But, I have seen some special cases.
PLUS
Remember, almost every model, map, or texture can be converted to something else, so if you find coders who are proficient in another engine or language, you can ALWAYS change and keep most of your content.
Keep chuggin away guys.
TheBrain - April 7, 2004 12:23 AM (GMT)
Thats what we are trying to do. We're building our skills in 3d modeling, texturing and map building first, if we have that we can do it in any engine... However code is not so easy to exchange between engines thats why we'll do it in the end. Even so, why would anyone want to see code of menus, script events and stuff, if you have unreal engine you can check there.
Nocturnal - April 12, 2004 01:34 AM (GMT)
I've seen many project that people were talking that they're serious about finishing it and all that was done was a bit of graphics, rendering and that was all - project died. Hope you won't end up like the rest of those folks that tried and failed. I see you got some graphics and music already made but there's still plenty of work to do like storyline for instance. Or maybe you're making Chrono Trigger but in new outfit so the plot will be the same? Well that doesn't matter. It looks really awesome from what I've seen from the screens so far and I would like to see and play that game some day. I'm counting on you guys
Knives - April 14, 2004 07:38 PM (GMT)
Yeah I have high expectations for this mod (that's why I joined the team!) After all, this is a HUGE undertaking, and we plan to take our sweet time getting it done so that it is as awesome as possible. It's gonna' rock when it's finished, too...I (and I believe everyone on the team) has a very good vision of what we want the remake to be like. Good things come with time.
I think also that approaching it in this manner also lets us plan out the project extensively and get the main gist of it before we focus on all the tiny details. I like the way CTRP is progressing.

Ya know, first time I read you,I thought you were just and ass. After 2 months of comming and trying just to get a single answer from these ego tripping mods,I think you're right.
Good luck to all the team, you'll need it.
TheBrain - April 19, 2004 10:44 AM (GMT)
If you had questions, why you didn't ask?
Oh and btw, we aren't doing this to get known, we only have an internet site to atract modders to help us, if you think that this is only a publicity stunt, you're in the wrong forums, because this is for CT fans and made by the CT fans.
the true chrono!!! - April 21, 2004 05:33 PM (GMT)

zentho - April 28, 2004 07:56 PM (GMT)
I am sure more people will find this site and want to help out over the course of the next two years. As time goes on it will go faster and faster.
Mack - May 9, 2004 07:35 AM (GMT)
You guys dont even have a programmer yet :o Oh come on, find one across the internet, PLEASE. I want this game :( Really liked the original one and would love to see it in full 3D.
John - May 9, 2004 08:29 AM (GMT)
I doubt that this "Mack" character reads much.
J/k man, but zentho is our coder.
-John
TheBrain - May 9, 2004 08:30 PM (GMT)
... i'm a programmer for your knowledge.
John - May 10, 2004 07:06 AM (GMT)
Ah!
Right, sorry.
Well, you basically do everything else as well so I forgot. : )
-John
TheBrain - May 10, 2004 02:05 PM (GMT)
Hey John, i wasn't replying for you it was for the guy above!
You are right, Zentho is our coder, i was just saying to the guy above that we have a bunch of good people that knows something about programming.
Mack - May 13, 2004 05:37 PM (GMT)
asdf - May 23, 2004 06:26 AM (GMT)

TheBrain - May 23, 2004 12:38 PM (GMT)
We'll have a good demo by fall 2005, the full release date has the Duke Nukem Forever "When it's done" tag.
Knives - May 23, 2004 11:03 PM (GMT)
Duke Nukem Forever...lol...i honestly thought that game was cancelled. At least WE have screens.
SSJoseph - May 24, 2004 02:28 AM (GMT)
::Wonders why it's called duke nukem: forever::
Hmmm..."forever"....uh.
I have no clue ;)

I really dislike negative people, like the guy who made this post.......... I mean it's one thing to think something (everyone's entitled to there opionion) but to yell it out in people's faces like that is just plain rude and obnoxious ............
When your life's meaning is demeaning the hard work of others who are trying to achive something amazing dispite the odds, you really know you've hit rock bottom.
Cheers,
Vash

Well,
Could also say that, when these people are actually touch by a stranger making a totally free and uninformed comment, it's probably closer to the truth then he actually thought.
funny how logic can go several ways, n'est-ce pas?
BrownMan - June 3, 2004 07:03 PM (GMT)
Guest you suck so freaking much I cant even say enough. I HATE people like you who spend their time going around places who have a new project up and bash it in their face that they can't finish it. I hope you burn in hell and BURN you WILL. Chrono Trigger RP is going to be an AMAZING piece of ART. If your are not going to devote your time into this, or even contribute, DONT FREAKING POST. How dare you do that? You are not paying for any of this stuff, not even the forums. Just because its the guestbook area it doesnt give you the right to bash about a project in the making. I can tell you are not really interested in Chrono Trigger. If you were, you would keep your fingers crossed and hope like the rest of us. Atleast we actually try to help, unlike you. One day you are going to regret your attitude. THat day will come in a year or so. THe year when this project is complete and you are holding on to your tongue, crying. Dont want to support? Oh ok, then DONT POST. goto CT:Ressurection if you are keeping on that attitude.
And yes this Project has alot of members that are on the team which contribute as much as they can. Coders, Texturers, 3D Modellers, you name it. More people will come. Trust me. I know this project will not fall unless the main people just forget about it, and I am HOPING that will never happen. All of you so called "GUests", do the world a favor ,make an account then contribute as much as you can.
Guest - June 3, 2004 07:22 PM (GMT)
See , that's exactly my point. Why do you even care what I or the original poster says.We don't know jack about your team or where you're at.But you go on your high horse and get all offended.
I was just pointing to the reverse logic of the first affirmation.

Guest - June 3, 2004 07:47 PM (GMT)
Sorry, but the attitude you've just displayed showed me two thing,
One, I certainly won't be alone in hell
I don't wanna be in a team with that kind of attitude.
So anyway,
I wish you guys Luck!
Show us wrong,I'll be happy for you!
Knives - June 3, 2004 08:22 PM (GMT)
Just to let you know, Guest, BrownMan isn't on the team. However, I am, and would like to say this:
Many people have doubted that our mod will succeed. I admit it is an ambitious undertaking. I would appreciate it if you would contribute, half of our suggestions come from members like BrownMan. I do think we will finish this mod, however, if not anytime soon. And if it does somehow fail, hey, it was fun to start.

Team members are correctly identified under their post name, also they are placed in the Team group, i don't know how can someone miss that info.
SSJoseph - June 5, 2004 03:32 AM (GMT)
Uh...brain.
in the "My Controls" panel.
Anyone can actually edit there title to say whatever they want.
for example...I can make mine say
"TEAM - The person man"
get it?
Uh...I would suggest either ading a rule that you cannot do that.
OR! remove this permission completly...and give it to trustworthy members only..or even get rid of it completly.
:)
Knives101 - June 5, 2004 04:34 AM (GMT)
 I would delete the option, it gives a personalization to it, and if a person does pretend there on the team Brain can probably fix that. Its just a matter of paying attention.

Well, we the REAL team know the real team members, so if we saw that we could simply report it to Brain...and that would be the end of that. :P
WolfPack - June 5, 2004 10:55 PM (GMT)
putting "team wannabe" isn't gonna hurt will it? lol
BrownMan - June 5, 2004 11:12 PM (GMT)
lol wolf.
lets see them boot you off for THAT! lol.
TheBrain - June 6, 2004 12:03 AM (GMT)
For your knowledge, it's impossible to change the Group: Members to Group:Team unless you're the administrator...
That's why i said we're identified by TEAM - something and Group:Team....
WolfPack - June 6, 2004 02:16 AM (GMT)
See! My wannabe thing won't get in the way :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D In my head i can be a team member. lol.
