i dont like the image of the skull (donny darko?) in the second one... maybe an image of caska or griffith would have been better.

and jus, for teh almighty game o/

no seriously I dont understand O_o

the second one is done horribly. the first one has just been put cinematic bars up and down. :P ill make better one !!!!

The first is cool, and the second one is also rather enjoyable...but I'm with Gir, I don't like the skull. Guts' pose is kickass though and the sword pwns.

BTW Gir...28.6.42.12 :D DD is the best movie I've seen in a loooooooong time.

Knives101 - April 9, 2005 03:41 AM (GMT)
 Like the first, I actually like the skully deal, its just the right side of hte second doesn't seem as spastic as it should.

Did you pull these character pics off of the Bereserk Dream cast game.... I had that game... cool story game was SPAM though, mister hero couldn't even swing his sword without bouncing it off a wall 90% of the time.

Stoney - April 9, 2005 04:15 AM (GMT)
 Dear Creeping Gods, that sword is MASSIVE. Think he's compensating for something? :P

Almighty_Gir - April 9, 2005 08:11 AM (GMT)
actually i doubt it, since he hooked up with the hottest character in the series (manga included).

and no, those shots arent from "the sword of the berserk: guts rage". they are from the japanese only release of the ps2 game, which covers volumes 20 - 28 of the manga. and it REALLY is awsome.

BrownMan - April 9, 2005 05:21 PM (GMT)
i want to import it....but I dont know japanese. :(

Stoney - April 9, 2005 07:08 PM (GMT)
BrownMan, do you even realize how ironic a statement that was, what with your current title and all? Not to mention how you went nuts with kanji in the 'Anime' thread.

Almighty_Gir - April 9, 2005 07:59 PM (GMT)
my advice then, would be to read the manga. as it follows the story very closely, so you could get a good idea whats going on anyway...

and yes, his sword is huge. heres one i made earlyer >;o kinda old, and using 100% self ilumination, instead of decent lighting, so its a pretty bad render... i should really render it again....

add some bumpmapping to his arms =| they look a bit.... strange.

Other than that, nice job! much better than i could do in 5 years

BrownMan - April 10, 2005 02:37 AM (GMT)
yeah gir reading the manga at the moment. so many! yay! and have vol 4 - 26. I think there are two more vol. no?

and your model. the body is done good! love it. the textures on the sword are awesome too.....but the face..... and it also looks like he has a mullet

BTW: stoney, im learning japanese.

Stoney - April 10, 2005 04:11 PM (GMT)
Glad to hear it, Brownman. a Japanese-English translator would be an excellent addition to the Team--quite a bit of Chrono Trigger's content was lost in its translation due to data storage limitations, so it'd be nice to re-discover some of that content and possibly put it in the Remake.

Damn, Gir, that model PWNS. Nice bloodstains on the sword. But why is one of his eyes closed? Is he winking at us? :D
