Remember, it's a game. Kids play it. It's very formulaic. Sure, it's quite possible that it happened, but I honestly don't think anyone from Squaresoft ever even considered it. They could always look back on it and pull that out, if they were to make another game in the series, but I don't think they ever thought about it.

No, Frog is not related to Marle. There is, however, a 'silly ending' where you can end the game at a point where, upon Marle's return home, people mention she's dressed funny and you see that her father is now a frog.

One of the gamefaqs 'endings' faqs writes:

Fair. Some people tell Marle she is dressing normally, while others say she is

Well, Frog (Glenn) would've had to be human, due to the fact that frog's don't reproduce the same as humans, thus it is somewhat possible.
