Title: Clarification
Description: Concerning the Project

Negus - March 6, 2005 05:52 AM (GMT)
I just heard about this tonight. So forgive me for being naive, but I have to get this straight, so tell if this is true:

This team plans to remake Chrono Trigger into a fully-functional game using a 3D engine without any affiliation with Square-Enix, thus essentially violating a copyright law which means that, given the right circumstances, Square-Enix could stop this at any time? And it's supposed to be free?

I just have one thing to say to you people...

I love you guys!

Lucid - March 6, 2005 05:57 AM (GMT)
You could've read almost any post in any other forum, yet you decided to post this.

So, is this going to get deleted, or what?

Negus - March 6, 2005 06:30 AM (GMT)
Heheheh. Not such a warm welcome, hm? My apologies.

Lucid - March 6, 2005 07:04 AM (GMT)
I'm just a douche bag, ignore me.

But when people come in yelling, "hey this is illegal, cool" it kinda raises a red flag.

Don't let me scare you off, most people here are quite nice.

GmMontex03 - March 6, 2005 07:12 AM (GMT)
Yea people, Dont talk about and C&D letter or this being illegal or anything. Especially what he did...

Okay, okay, I get the message, I'm sorry >.> Won't post here no more.

Galidan - March 6, 2005 07:18 AM (GMT)
No one said you couldn't post, just not to worry about the whole C&D thing.

/Galidan

Negus - March 6, 2005 07:21 AM (GMT)
Better to learn late than never, I suppose >.> *Coughs* Sorry about that. Talk about a bad first impression ^^;;

GmMontex03 - March 6, 2005 07:31 AM (GMT)
Its ok to post what you want, just remember to try not to talk about that stuff unless its in one of those topics where everything is being said(check out news, town center, and ideas, those have the most) or unless you absolutly have to. They are trying not to be noticed by Square, but if a C&D comes, they have said that there is nothing they can do but stop the project.

WolfPack - March 7, 2005 02:58 AM (GMT)
Which would be a mega bummer. Maybe if that happened, they could do a 3d version of RD without being noticed. :D

Stoney - March 7, 2005 05:44 AM (GMT)
Yeah, 'cause a 3-D remake of Chrono Cross would be kinda redundant.

Here, Negus--you like music, right? Well, remember this song:

Don't worry...be happy...a-don't worry, be happy now... (starts whistling)

GmMontex03 - March 7, 2005 05:48 AM (GMT)
It would be cool and everything. Since the orriginal was Text with pictures it would be really cool to see the game and explore Viper Manor in its orriginal form.

Marcel - March 7, 2005 03:33 PM (GMT)
Hahaha, I like this Negus guy

Knives - March 7, 2005 06:19 PM (GMT)
It's probably inevitable. But around here we don't like to think about it.

BTW, if this is your first time here then be sure to read the FAQ in the News section. It will answer approximately 98% of your questions.

Negus - March 7, 2005 11:10 PM (GMT)
Yeah, yeah, I dig. Heh heh. Thanks Knives. Much love.

WolfPack - March 9, 2005 06:56 AM (GMT)
Love eh? Hope were not turning into a hippy joint :P

GmMontex03 - March 9, 2005 08:35 AM (GMT)
"When I say We love you say Chrono! We love.."

"Chrono!"

We Love!"

"Chrono!"

Its all for the Chrono, right?

Marcel - March 9, 2005 11:09 AM (GMT)
.... so what's wrong with hugging trees? Trees need attention too! They're not just filthy attention whores you know, they have feelings too!

GmMontex03 - March 9, 2005 02:39 PM (GMT)
Most of our advancements happen with war, not tree hugging. Better technology! There is nothing wrong with tree hugging, but trees are like all other living things, they die eventually. But they are not like humans, they have no soul. Now don't get me started with talking about anti war protesters.

WolfPack - March 9, 2005 10:12 PM (GMT)
Egh. Lets not desolve into another heated debate. lol.

rpgfan3233 - March 9, 2005 10:25 PM (GMT)
I'd love to see a remake of Radical Dreamers actually. It might be even better than Chrono Cross, which I STILL love. The love scene between Magil (Gil/Gilbert) and Riddel... That would be funny. Or maybe the sunflower....

WolfPack - March 9, 2005 10:26 PM (GMT)
It would be interesting to see all 9 ending in 3d; to to mention the entire game.

Negus - March 9, 2005 11:08 PM (GMT)
In the end, if you ask I, Chrono Trigger is one of those classics that's here to stay. Whether it's continued in aseries or not. You dig?

Stoney - March 10, 2005 04:27 AM (GMT)
I dig it! Glory hallelujah, brotha, you tell it how it is! AMEN! :)

GmMontex03 - March 10, 2005 04:29 AM (GMT)
Haha, it would be cool to have all the endings in 3d(or how the gam esi made if its still one sided 3d it would be cool)

Marcel - March 10, 2005 12:09 PM (GMT)
I say we should all hug now.
C'mon people where's the love!

Lucid - March 10, 2005 03:32 PM (GMT)

I threw it away.

It's in the trash if you want it.

garbage digger.

Negus - March 10, 2005 03:36 PM (GMT)
Got to come together in Chrono inity, seen? Love all you guys. Jah bless!

Stoney - March 10, 2005 10:07 PM (GMT)
Okay, now I'm starting to feel like this thread has turned into a poorly-written episode of Care Bears. :P Maybe we're overstating the "love" thing a bit TOO much...

...unless there are any forum-goers of the opposite gender reading this post. In that case, I'm not overstating my "love" at all, if you know what I mean.

Hey Lucid, is love recyclable? because if it is, you shouldn't throw it in the trash. Save the environment, people! And stay in school. And stuff.

WolfPack - March 11, 2005 02:00 AM (GMT)
~_~ lol.

GalaxyFalcon - March 11, 2005 11:55 PM (GMT)
poor the extra love on osama. he needs it.

Sir_Crono531 - March 11, 2005 11:58 PM (GMT)
Ok seriously, the love needs to stay in your pants ok? Ok. Anyways, I can't wait to see the endings though.

GmMontex03 - March 12, 2005 03:49 AM (GMT)
Osama... don't pour all the love...no wait... POUR ALL THE LOVE YOU GOT ON THAT GUY, HE NEEDS IT!(meaning paint the bombs pink with flowers and write love all over them).

Negus - March 12, 2005 06:22 AM (GMT)
LOL! You guys are hilarious.

GmMontex03 - March 12, 2005 07:49 AM (GMT)
After being in the Air Force, I'd like to see Osama do what the guy does on the bomb when dropped from a B-52... RIDE THAT BOMB and die!

Crotus - March 22, 2005 03:48 PM (GMT)
:ph43r: Ouch what a painfull and funny ending for any bastarted who says look mommy im going to catch a bomb with my bare weak arms look a B-52! drop your bombs!
