Title: The Fated Hour
Description: A question about this chapter of CT.
fxar99 - March 3, 2005 01:25 PM (GMT)
The Fated Hour is the last chapter of the game.
In the future (I think so) there is a place called Sun Temple. When I defeat the monster, I get something (I don't remember exactly because I haven't played for months) and I put it in the Sun Keep. I travel through time waiting for it to be charged and then I can't find it.
And something else: when I am at Zeal's kingdom (in the sky) I can see an island with a blue pyramid (on the right, I think). Can I go there? What is it?

First one: Go to the south continent durring 1000 AD and youll find the mayors house has sparks flying, but he isn't going to give it to you. Go to the tavern in the same town and buy some jerky. After that go to the house in 600 AD and give it to the mayors wife for free. go back to th emayors house in 1000 AD and hell give you the stone. Return to the sunstone alter on the island and place it there, go to 2300 AD and retrieve the stone.
Next one: no, you cann't get there. The only time you are able to get there is in 1000 AD

Ya I know but what of the last clue on the fated hour: a person needs your help and bla bla. I've passed the game over 10 times and i still dont know what that is!

Its a side quest if you have really played the game all the way through.
rpgfan3233 - March 23, 2005 06:48 AM (GMT)
One of GameFAQs CT walkthroughs has details on it. Search (Ctrl+F, I think) the page for "Side Quest #4" (no quotes). I hope you have a lot of money! (around 9900G....) Good luck!

The Jerky Sun Stone side quest

Thanks for that. Now, something else:
In the old, SNES version of Chrono Trigger, are there alternative endings?
I've only tried to use a cheat to defeat Lavos the first time I go to the End of Time. It took me 4 (!!!) hours playing to defeat the core. When it was over, I saw two creatures from Chrono Trigger (the one was a Nu and the other, I think it was a monkey).
Do you know if I can (using my cheat codes to defeat Lavos earlier than usual) see other endings? For example, if I don't resurrect Crono, or if I don't defeat Magus, is something different going to happen?
rpgfan3233 - April 10, 2005 08:20 PM (GMT)
In short, yes there are other endings. I don't know about viewing them with cheat codes, but I know that there are a number of walkthroughs to tell you how to get them.
BTW,
http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/snes/file/c...o_trigger_f.txt is the walkthrough that I use for CT.
GalaxyFalcon - April 11, 2005 05:32 AM (GMT)
Theres a ton of diffrent endings.
NOTE: Anyone else notice that, if you leave Robo with Fiona, and never go back for him, hes STILL at the ending?
fxar99 - April 11, 2005 10:50 AM (GMT)
Thanks, I'll try to see them all!

actually the last one is called "The final battle".
fxar99 - April 12, 2005 06:56 PM (GMT)
I don't know, I've played it on SNES (not PS) and I didn't notice any chapter after "The Fated Hour".
rpgfan3233 - April 13, 2005 12:49 AM (GMT)
"The Fated Hour" chapter is right before "The Final Battle" chapter and it DOES exist in the SNES version. It is actually made up of 6 different chapters.*

I believe it switches from "The Fater Hour" to "The Final Battle" when you complete all 6 side quests, one of which is the Black Omen.
ZeaLitY - April 15, 2005 07:48 PM (GMT)
Yes, even if you don't complete them, taking out the Black Omen switches chapters.
rpgfan3233 - April 15, 2005 11:03 PM (GMT)
Yay! ZeaLitY, THE AUTHORITY on the Chrono series, is back!

The Compendium's nearing completion. All the structures are in place. I just have to fill them in...
