Title: What is the little Zeal Symbol?
Galidan - January 22, 2005 10:20 PM (GMT)
What is the little symbol in the picture of? I have always wondered, but couldn't figure it out.
http://www.boomspeed.com/galidan/zealdoor.jpgIs Zeal, the Mammon Machine, or or maybe it is Zeal bowing down to Lavos. I can't really tell. What do you guys think?

Looks kind of like the Mammon Machine. ^^
Knives - January 22, 2005 11:06 PM (GMT)
Yeah...but I also think that Zeal-bowing-to-Lavos theory works pretty well.
Chuckles - January 22, 2005 11:16 PM (GMT)
I do believe that it would be the Mammon Machine.

yea the mammon machine theory is more convincing, because you have to think, you needed the mammon machine to power up the pendant so that you could open the door in the first place
WolfPack - January 29, 2005 02:52 AM (GMT)
Ya its the Mammon Machine.

There are some nifty pictures in the CT Guidebook, if I ever find it again I'll have to skim it to see if I can find a good picture of it...

Yeah it's mammon machine symbol on that door.
IcicleM - February 20, 2005 08:23 PM (GMT)
Hey, what I don't understand... is the point of the little "Mysteriously sealed boxes" that were randomly placed around the world. Does anyone have any real idea why they put them there, and why were there some pretty useless items in the boxes? Like... I'm not going to wait for 2/3's of the game to complete to get a regular healing item from one of those things, haha.

I figure they're just remnants of the crashed zeal kingdom or something... although it wouldn't explain why they start popping up so late; you don't see any in 12.000 BC after the incident. Hmm..
Nice art in your signatures by the way, are they from your website or something?
Sir_Crono531 - February 21, 2005 03:18 PM (GMT)
Maybe the Entity left them there so that the CT team can use them in the future.
Which would also explain Schala as the Entity as she has the same pendant to open it. Who said you can't use the pendant's magic to seal it? Which is why there are seals on the doors in 2300 AD.
I think it all adds up. It's my theory anyway.

I figured Belthasar made the ones in 2300. After all, in the little scene where you see him get sucked into the gate, when he appears in the future the door isnt there.

I certainly hope you're joking. Those chests have some awesome gear in them.

To make you remember where they are so you wont remeber to do your homework so you will fail school and stay at home and play more videogames till you grow up and be a bum :D

There was an old design for those Zeal doors too. I don't remember where I saw the picture, but it looked really screwed up.
IcicleM - March 3, 2005 12:06 AM (GMT)
They have colored vests in them, thank you very much, that aren't as good as the better armors and helmets. So THAT is why I don't understand why they were put there. It's just, kinda dumb to make something really special and hard to get, when, in a little bit, you're just going to get something better, and more useful.
The Art in my signatures were made by me. The Final Fantasy Paradice thing, in the corner, was the name of a forum I used to be the Co-Owner, of. But, my Ex and I ran it, together, and him and I sort of stopped getting along after a while. The reason was because he kept getting hacked by the same person, and 2 months later, that person would apologize, and "Majic" (my ex) would LET that hacker back into the website, and it would get hacked again, and we would have to start all over... It was rediculous...
Icicle Mordrinian is a Character I made up for my story, Mordrian. Mordrian is a world that floats above the Earth. It's a completely seperate Continent that is invisible to "Earth-Dwellers" because of the spell that was cast upon it. It's in developing stages, right now, cause it's a really long and complicated story, and I'm trying to sort all my thoughts about it, and what will happen in the course of the three books I want to write, and how I can make a quick summary to show people.
Crotus - March 22, 2005 04:15 PM (GMT)
IcicleM has a point  but if it wasn't for those boxes you could have never got some very useful items like Marles Best Weapon  or Color Vest that really help when you can't defeat spekio (other than that the vest are useless <_< ) so the chest are good and bad but never useless!
rpgfan3233 - March 22, 2005 05:52 PM (GMT)
It's probably the Mammon Machine. It's the most logical choice.

Notice the design of the bottom (left and right) for example. The structure, in general, is almost identical to the symbol.
Crotus - March 22, 2005 06:37 PM (GMT)
True but why would and ADVANCE civilization would have doors that only open with a stone that was lost along time ago?Remember what Melchior said the stone is imposible to find in 1000AD imagine in 2300AD
rpgfan3233 - March 22, 2005 11:00 PM (GMT)
@Crotus: There's a simple answer to that. It was just to make the game more challenging, not to mention the fact that Square didn't think about EVERY LITTLE DETAIL. If they did, they would have been required to abandon the project because of the fact that everything would've been redone for the soon-to-be popular PlayStation console.

rpgfan3233 - March 22, 2005 11:29 PM (GMT)
Square didn't have enough time, basically. Plus, they were more worried about getting the actual game to the public, not about every single detail. After all, they didn't think that their game would be looked into in such a thorough manner.
Crotus - March 22, 2005 11:31 PM (GMT)
Still that is a major blopper
