Whom were the three characters you used the most as a team? Did you like their combos, or did you like the characters?

The three characters I used most were Ayla, Frog, and Crono. Ayla and Frog = slurp kiss, and Crono = Luminaire, which just plain rocks.

The team I liked most, however, was Robo, Ayla, and Frog, just because they're all so strong, Robo can heal all by hisself, and Ayla and Frog both have Desperation moves.

Chrono, Lucca, and Ayla were usually my team. Flare, Luminaire, and Tripple Kick always seemed to fo the most damage...

Generally, I would use Crono, Magus, and Ayla, because their all so strong, and Ayla can charm items as she pleases. But for beating Lavos, I mostly use.. anybody. But Crono or Magus must be in the part to pull it off. My favorite team is Crono, Robo and Magus. Robo can heal, Crono and Magus hit Lavos hard with their most powerful techs. Simple. Although most recently I used Crono, Robo and Lucca... stupid monster antics ending. Blah.

I usually would use Crono Magus and Frog, or I would switch Frog with Robo. Reason is because I think they are the coolest characters in the whole game.

Frog, because of his healing power and sword strengh, Crono and Lucca for Luminaire and Megabomb/Fire 2

Crono, Marle, Frog

I like the characters, yes, but I think they are also the easiest to play with.

You have 2 options for healing, 2 strong swordsmen, great offensive tech, and a nice triple tech to boot.

I had planned to replace Marle with Magus the last time I went through the game, but I killed him instead. (the Frog/Magus dual) I didn’t even know it was possible to win that, but I did. :huh:

My team usually was Crono,Magus,and Robo,just becuase I liked the characters so much.I wonder tho what is the most damaging combination?

Mine were usually always Janus(Or Magus i named him Janus), Robo and Marle.
If Crono was alive it would be Marle, Janus and crono.

never used that combo,but i am liking the Chrono,Frog and Ayla combo.Never used Ayla much when I first played this game years ago,but now that ive picked it up again,Ayla is so damn good.I dont know why I never used her before.

My favorite team was Nadia, because her healing is so ridiculous, Janus, because he's cooler than God, and Robo, once he gets enough of Atropos' hair ribbons to be fast enough to use. They don't have any readily usable triple techs, and Nadia and Robo aren't extremely compatible in terms of double techs, but they're still my favorite team.

Magus, Crono and Frog were my favourite team, they were all generally powerful.

I like to swich around a lot but I ALWAYS have Magus in my party.
Also I usually ditch Robo at fiona's forest as SOON as possible, because I think his character is so goddamn lame. Although I really like the triple tech with Lucca and Magus, I rarely see it 'cause I just can't stand to have him around :rolleyes:

So if I'm not in the New Game + yet, I usually have Magus, Marle&Ayla, because Magus kicks ass, and you get really good items (like a lot of magic- and off course SPEED-tabs) by stealing (which is easier with Dual Charm). Also, their third triple tech is quite nasty. If I already have allt he good Items (like in new game +) I also often use Magus, Marle & Lucca (for the obvious reason), Crono, Frog and Lucca (for less obvious reasons), and Ayla when I feel like triple-kicking @ss.

*SPOILER ALERT* (although I assume everyone here knows CT by heart by now, hehe)
Oh, and usually I also don't resurrect Crono until REALLY late in the game, because, well, Magus is way cooler than Crono, hehe :lol:

chrono,magus and frog is the best team i find them a powerful team.

It's all about Crono, Frog and Robo.

They've got:
Powerful physical attacks.
Good offensive magic.
Single/multiple target healing techs.
Great double/triple techs.
And... you can have that party from pretty early in the game.

Then you boost Robo with a Speed Helm and lots of speed tabs to make him the fastest character in the game...

P.S. Magus is a bad character to have in your party due to the terrible lack of double/triple techs. He's only good for defeating Son of Sun...

Crono, Lucca ,and Magus
It's all about magic power fellas , Crono with his Luminaire (Thing wich shouldn't be the strongest magic in the game...you give the guy some magica tabs and he becomes an freak...the should have given him a weaker Luminaire) , Lucca with her powerfull Flare , and Magus with his great repertoaire of magics to cast...

But IF the three characters are lvl 99 I'd have to say Crono,Lucca,and Ayla doing critics that cause the enemy 9999 damage is very tempting to a weak little mind like mine :D

Old topic, but a bump never hurts.

I just played through Chrono trigger for the second time (well, almost...I'm at the Black Omen), and I tried something different. I think the last time I played through the game, I had Chrono, Robo, and Magus, simply because of their strength, and cause I was little and didn't know how to play RPG's good back then. But this time, I stuck with Chrono, Marle, and Lucca, and if you equip them right, it actually makes a very effective party.

Chrono is naturally fast and strong, and having that on top of the accessories used, he is a powerful attacker that can take a lot of punishment.
Chrono was equipped with a Silver Earring through most of the game, which made his HP shoot up, but only recently did I equip him with Power Seal (don't remember if thats the right name) which increases his attack and defense. Plus, his Rainbow sword has a 75% critical hit rate, which is just plain awesome.

Marle was a weak attacker, but a good healer and a decent offensive spellcaster as well.
Right now, I have her equipped with a Haste Helm, which cuts her wait time by half, and a Prism Dress, which raises her defense greatly and cuts any magic damage done to her by 75%. Also, I had her equipped with a Silver Stud, which reduces MP usage by 50%, which is extremely useful, then around half way through the game I found the Gold Stud, which reduces MP usage by 75%. This allows for Cure2, which heals almost fully, to be used for 1 MP. Need I say more?

Lucca wasn't the greatest member to put into my party, as she was slow, and a weak attacker, her only real advantage was her offensive spells.
This all changed when I got her Wondershot, which made her become my strongest attacker, as with the Wondershot and PrismSpecs equipped, she can pull off 4000 damage.
On top of that, I have both her Taban Helm and Taban Suit, which really up her defense.

I don't think I'm gonna have much of a problem taking down Lavos a second time.

EDIT:: Last night I beat Queen Zeal on my first try, afterwards, Lavos was also beaten on the first try. Now, for NewGame+ to see if I can beat him with just Crono and Marle...

I don't really have an A-team, i just use everyone when i need to use them, it depends for what situation, but otherwise I usually have Crono in the lead, With either frog or marle in the second slot and Magus or Lucca in the Third slot, as for robo...i dun use him much, and ayla, well i use her when i just dont have patience and i need to take care of things as fast as possible. When i go up against Lavos I use Crono Marle and Lucca

Chrono, Lucca, and Ayla, all equipped with gold studs. I just do Luminare, flare, and triple kick over and over again and i can beat lavos in a heartbeat.

Chrono, Lucca, Marle. Luminare + Antipode 3 make it totally worth it. ^__~

Though I must say, sometimes I alternate Ayla for Lucca. Falcon Strike and Cube Toss were pretty cool.

pfft who needs team members?.....**sigh** we all do >.> anyways i like beating the game with crono and watching the japanese sprites running around but my fav team would hafta be magus, crono , and i would say from but i had a really tough time beating the game with him when he was in my party with crono and magus....but i like frog so that WOULD be my team...if not i like ayla ....god im an idiot... i saw this on ign one day that you could get schala so...im going to get her >.< its prolly fake but hey beating the game 3 timesin a week isnt that bad right?

I don't think there's a way to get Schala to join you... it would kinda mess up the storyline if she did join your party. I haven't heard of any alternate ways or cheats that include Schala joining, although that would be cool.
