Well all that i can say is this if and when the next Chrono game gets made.Chrono and the rest of the gang has to come back.And add new characters as well but Chrono needs to come back but that idea that i heard of Chrono having a son in the next game sounds good.

...from what I understand; the game was cancelled. A shame really, but I suppose we can't exactly force them to make the game. With the original creators of CT scattered around as it is; I doubt they can make a game with the same feel as CT. I would've at least liked to see them try though... <_<

Then again, you don't want a repeat of the Final Fantasy Series. Sometimes a sequal isn't for the best.

The Final Fantasy series was doing quite well until it got involved with J-pop, and other rather... horrific things. They shouldn't have done that. Rather than make an incredible RPG; Square made a game that sold for sex appeal. I was highly disappointed by the later FF games... especially FF X-2.

If I knew they would do that to the Chrono Trigger series; i'd beg them not to make a sequel. <_<

No, one of the worst things to do in a sequel is bring back characters. Sure it's a sequel but we always need new characters to test new stuff. Real sequels should always have new characters (look at the FF series)

The FF series doesn't have actual sequels (with the exception of X-2). It is true that Final Fantasy is still the same series, but each Final Fantasy isn't related with the other in any way. There aren't any similar characters, and they definentally aren't on the same planet.

I personally am unsure if Chrono Trigger should have a true sequel, or just another game based upon the series. They ended CT with a pretty solic ending... i'm unsure how it could continue. I definentally would want to see the characters from CT again though. I just hope something gets done with the series eventually.

I wouldn't actually that the FF charecters aren't similar, they seem to have been a repeat themes for a while...

And in each FF there seem to be certain formulas for characters, so that characters may not be the same person, they are similar in thier class and skills and such things. Thats all FF games are nowadays. They take the same old formula for a game and add some new characters and graphics and it is a whole new game.

Chrono Cross is a good game, but I don't like it. Hmm. What an odd sentence. Anyways, I own the game, and got far enough, but I found it very confusing so I quit.
I like the idea of Crono's son more then Serge's son though.

Actually, i think thats one of the things that would ruin the game. Being Crono's son, we would expect him to be like Chrono, and if he isn't we would be disipointed. And of course, if we a person like Crono, we gotta have one like magus, and marle, and so on.

:huh: See the thing about Chrono that made him so likeable is that he didn't have a personality like the other characters, he was you, well other than the fact that he had to be the good guy he was what you chose him to be.

The ff characters do seem to follow a formula though there are a couple of games that draw away from that like ff6(3) and ff9.
