One thing. I think your models have too many polygons, you should make a little less, because of sys requeiments.

Actually its going to be made with the Unreal verson and hopefully be turned into a standalone with its free runtime. We tryed working with morrowind (we thought this would be the best bet on a good engin) but it turns out that Unreal2003 is SO much better, It is so flexable it can really make ANY type of game. If you want I'm shure Brain will give you the mod files for the Masamune. Trust us, ut2k3 is the way to go, don't worry, it will be free :P

definately a cool idea for the remake of CT that is my favorite game of all time. i'm interested in this and will be keeping an eye on it. I may also try to help every now and again. will this just be a remake? or also a fan sequel or something like that?

It's strictly a remake, but there are discussion about making new side quests.
But nothing has been confirmed yet since we are still trying to produce the
original modells etc...

Edit: We will be using the unreal editor since we can shape the game the way we want it look since the morrowind engine is very limited.

I would prefer not to let to much leak out of this game especially the models,
we may release some models after releasing the game, i hope you understand why.

Stumbled upon the the site on a google search and i saw the character models for Magus,Gato and Frog and i almost wet my pants...Exactly how i imagined they would look in 3D. :o I'd love to see something like this finished but i'm not going to invest any real hope in this. I wish you guys all the luck though.

Well actually, its an inside story.
You see me and him was having a big blowout fight over whats better.
Final Fantasy series, or the Chrono Series.

I of course said Chrono.
And he said Final Fantasy..since he claims to be the biggest fan.

So then I said,

chrono trigger > anything else

The FF series is squares trade mark since it saved Square from almost leaving the RPG and game making world so of course it will have more sequels then other games made my Square, that does not mean it's Square's best game, if you had this argument with him when CT was new, yea you could have crapped on him cause FF I think was at 5, and sadly, how are you gonna make the 5th sequel look worse the the 3rd.

well what about that awful casino game in chrono chross that ppl hate are you going to include that? anyways the battle should be a combination of chrono trigger and final fantasy

We'll if it's a remake i beleive they will do the battles like the original.

Why can't the two series just get along? I admit I'm a bigger FF fan but I still love and play the Chrono series, limiting yourself on purpose to one or the other is just stupid.

:huh: Its like the PeanutButter and Jelly wars of the past, cept its Chrono Trigger and FF;they work so well together yet on thier own they both stand out above the crowd as two giants in the rpg kingdom.

Even so, for this remake, i think it's better to not have "peanut butter" and "jelly" mixed.

i just wanna say i love your site! it's so awesome.. I'm constantly checking back here in the forum for any news and anything else i can find! (It's just so fun!) so i decided to register on here (I'll probably post once and a while here, but with school, I might not have a lot of time.. ugh school.. lol) well anyway, just thought i'd say that!

Chrono trigger was the FIRST game i ever played.

I just recently stumbled in on this project, and I've got to say, it's the greatest news I've heard since I first played Chrono Trigger. CT has been my favorite game for any system since I rented it from Blockbuster. I am so glad somebody has decided to remake this game. The character models look VERY good so far, the End of Time video is very cool, but my favorite aspect of this project is the music. You guys did a wonderful job on everything, but I do have one complaint. It doesn't really affect it much, but the sitar in the 12000 BC music remake sounds a little out of place. The only reason I noticed this is because that's my favorite song in the game next to frog's theme. No big deal, just thought I would give some input. I hope to see this project completed some day and I am anxiously awating the next content update. Keep up the magnificent work!
