Title: Chrono Break Thing
Description: Sorry to post this here, but...

Found this on the IGN website from an E3 2003 article linked on the Compendium, seen? Some of you may have seen it, but I just thought the I would post it, sight?
IGN: And one final question -- what's the next project for your team? Can we expect Chrono Cross 2, Chrono Trigger 3, Chrono Break, or whatever it is that you decide to call it?
Richard: [Laughs] Final Fantasy XI is pretty much it for a while. We still have a lot of possible expansion packs we could do, and plenty of support to give. As far as Chrono is concerned, that's huge; but we can't do two or three things at the same time, and it's tough to do FFXI and another Chrono game at the same time or too close together. We'd love to do one though, but yeah, not yet.

Hmmm, Honestly-- as much as I would love Chrono Break from Square Soft, I think I would only like Chrono Break from Square Soft. The Chrono Series is far too important for Enix to screw up, IMO.
I don't know, I just wish we could have the SquareSoft that we knew and loved back. Only they could do it justice =X

Yea. I think they should Hire all the guys from the orriginal team back or ...OR if you guys dont know already, most of the people from the orriginal team have started theyre own company. maybe se could licence the new chrono game to them.

yea that would be pretty sweet, ^_^, although i think for now a chrono game is slightly far off from even making at the moment.

Enix is an awesome company, don't trash them ;o
Squaresoft has made it's share of monstrosities, I assure you, enix isn't solely responsible for terrible games like X-2.

Sad to say, alot of changed happened through Squaresoft after FFVII came out, posibly before or durring FFVIII was in the makeing. Remember, FVII and before were great games, but with the development of technology and the ability to render polygons better as time went on, the need for a good story and character development was lost in comparison. They late SS and combined SE spent a little too much time on the graphics and not the needed time on the story. With Voice acting in FFX and following not helping out much the series was a little down hill to what it should have been. FFXII almost fell into the same trap but was saved due to a great story and character development. After the story and characters, the game built up the side quests off of the main story to help out and not take the spot light. The power of the PS2 was reached and explored, but not overwhelmed.
If SE were to make CB now I would be more confident to buy it rather than rent. But I still would be a little sketchy because of the let downs in the past few titles minus FFXII.

I think hesitating to buy another game in the Chrono series just because of the change in the Final Fantasy series is rather drastic. We can't be sure that the next Chrono game wouldn't be completely unaffected by the direction taken by the FF series. They are separate games, after all.
Additionally, even if it could be established that Square-Enix was a completely evil corporation devoid of any concern for their customer's happiness, they are a business. If they produce a new Chrono game, they'll want to produce one that sells, and we (the intended demographic) haven't exactly been quiet about what we want.
If a new Chrono game comes out I plan to purchase it immediately.

Yes And maybe it will be better then the other two cronos I mean if they cared deeply about the game and made every character new and not a coppy with a new name Then all would be well of cource a few guys should be carried over from the other games..

I totally agree. I think its obvious what we want. I mean...if they could seek out some little fan project like ours...they must know what the fans want. Even if they never do the "Next" game...they might just remake the origional Chrono game.
No matter what...even if i dont have a next ge consel...ill still buy it.
