Does anyone use this program? if so do you know of any sites with good tutorials on how to do stuff with it? Im trying to create a video where im sitting there, then I snap and a fire ball appears in my hand, then I extinguish it. or something . :( any help would be appreciated

Lol i used to use it a bit. Its good for composition and colour correction, as well as simple effects n stuff.

If you want to make a fireball, learn maya. Amazing stuff you can do in it.

Im listening to Hanger 18 by Megadeth, and it really inspires me to make stuff in maya atm :P


Anyway, they use maya for all the crazyomgwtfbbqawsome stuff in movies and all that jazz.

Yeah-- they both have their advantages, after effects is more towards effects / rendering, while Maya is based towards 3d Compositing..


Wish I could get into maya, but gah is it overwhelming
