Title: Chrono Trigger
Description: Still play?
Sir_Crono531 - July 14, 2005 08:58 PM (GMT)
Hey does anyone here still actually play CT? I do, and I was wondering if anyone else does....and if they play it on the computer. If you do pm me, I need something.....
fxar99 - July 14, 2005 09:36 PM (GMT)
Of course! What did you think? I used to play it until my old computer's motherboard broke (horrible experience) and now I need to connect the hard disk to the new one. Bo-ring! :D
Stoney - July 14, 2005 11:35 PM (GMT)
Methinks someone is trying to get a Chrono Trigger ROM... :D
rpgfan3233 - July 15, 2005 01:31 AM (GMT)
Not a ROM, save games (save states or normal RAM)
Crabsmasher - July 15, 2005 01:35 AM (GMT)
I do, but sadly I have not beat the game...but I am so close I could cry. I am at the point where I can fight Lavos any time, but I am going to do the side quests first and revive Crono. I would like some help too so PM me if you are willing....
Sir_Crono531 - July 15, 2005 01:44 AM (GMT)
Dude I'm all over that, I'd gladly help, that's the part of the game I spend most of my time doing. But I advise you to get crono back first, very essential character to have.

That would be great.
Ok so heres the point I am at:
I am at Death Peek or Mountain whatever and I have talked to the Nu. The trees are there but every time I try to get behind one to get to dodge the gust of wind I get blown down. Heyjohnny said that I needed to get a Crono Doll but I have no idea where to get that. Could you tell me what I need to do?
Sir_Crono531 - July 15, 2005 02:03 AM (GMT)
OK here's what you do. Go to 1000 AD, go to the millenial fair and get 40 points, go to Bekklar's (or somin like that) tent of horror(located on the east side of fair when you first enter it, talk to him and play his game. After that he will give you the doll, then go back to the Nu in the Dome near death peak at 2300 AD, and he will send out programs (that look like Piyozo dolls) Theres 3 in total, then go to Death Peak, and go upwards and stand directly behind a tree. Let the wind blow, after it stops go to the next tree, and so on. It's difficult if your impatient. Lol. Then from there continue on (no more wind for now) And go through the mountain and defeat monsters and yea defeat all the lavos's spawn, and the last one leaves its shell there so move the shell towards the rope ladder, climb up and you get to the top of the mountain, and you get a cutscene and time warp and get crono eventually lol.

Yeah, that's close the price one gaming store sold it for around Christmas in my area. . . They were pretty much doing a special on retro-gen consoles and games, though they also had a few Dreamcasts. . . I think the NES was advertised as $17. . . Anyway, I still have a Sega Genesis and an NES, so I'm happy. :)
isak@mac.com - July 15, 2005 04:50 PM (GMT)
I still plays it!
But I've not finished it yet...
I'm training against enemies, because I want to defeat Lavos without any trouble :)
It's a little bit boring, though... I cant find any tough enemies to fight!
Magus5311 - July 15, 2005 09:20 PM (GMT)
Hehe thanks =D
Sir_Crono may have his dolls...
And Almighty_gir may have.. his.. whatever he had in his picture...
But I have the all mighty Chrono Trigger! ;)

MWAHAHAHAH!!!!
I'm at "Tata and the Frog" now. Haven't had long to play it, it feels just so right playing it though... I can't explain it, just not on PC or PS, just on SNES and just feels perfect... It's so wonderful! =DDD
Sir_Crono531 - July 15, 2005 09:23 PM (GMT)
Go into Ocean Palace in year 1000 AD, and destroy it, dont fight lavos just yet!!!!, then exit, then go to year 600 AD, and go through the Ocean Palace again, defeat it. don't fight lavos just yet! Then go to 12,000 BC and once again go to the Ocean Palace, and destroy it. You should Have alot of experience by know (that is if you did every single sidequest (if your not sure talk to Gaspar at the end of time) Then go to Lavos, and defeat him. It's easy if you know how to defeat him, and have marle on your team just in case something drastic happens. The battle is going to be reeeeeeeeeeeally loooooooooong. Lol you'll eventually get it.

I too have an NES so I am at least happy with that....
I want a dreamcast too, I am one of the few people who actually loved that system. Man that brings back memories of Sonic Adventure, Evolution, Crazy Taxi...man...that was sweet.
rpgfan3233 - July 16, 2005 06:36 PM (GMT)
Yeah, I enjoyed teh almighty Dreamcast. I wish they would make a Sonic Adventure 2 DX or something. . . SADX was wonderful because it brought back all the memories, with some extras! *sighs* Unfortunately, Sega has confirmed they won't make anymore Sonic Adventure games. (that doesn't mean they won't go back on their word *hopes*)

Once you reach the trunk of the tree, stop running. If you just walk into it instead of run into it your characters will not stagger to the side as much, and it'll be easier.
It seems we have a lot more people on the site recently who have never beaten the game. Makes me feel old.
Sir_Crono531 - July 17, 2005 12:27 AM (GMT)
Yea same, here I feel like I'm 20 somin, but im only 16, and I beat the game like I don't know how many times. I just need to get 2 more endings and that's it.
Anyways, rpgfan, thanks for the save states!! :D they work wonders... lol. Max stats and everything.

Oh, yeah. . . I forgot that I was into hacking savestates back then. :P It makes for easier gameplay though. The only thing I don't have is Ayla's 9999...damage thing. . . And I don't think I did the weapons either, but it still works well.
Sir_Crono531 - July 17, 2005 06:30 AM (GMT)
Yes it does wonders. :D Lol. I have like 3 save files so I know for certain when and where to fight lavos.
propagator4 - July 17, 2005 07:07 AM (GMT)
How is it possible to not have Ayla's weapon when she is at her maximum level?
Sir_Crono531 - July 17, 2005 07:41 PM (GMT)
I never knew ayla had weapons? O.o

Yeah, her "weapons" are her Fists. You get them in this order: Fist, Iron Fist and Bronze Fist. Obviously, Bronze Fist is the strongest. I just looked at those savestates. Apparently, I did everything and included a couple of endings. . . Oh well. It makes it easier to get a "New Game+" game while enjoying an ending!
Sir_Crono531 - July 17, 2005 09:29 PM (GMT)
Actually now that I think about it, I do remember the iron fist and bronze fist. But How do you get them? Or do they just come as Ayla levels up?
BrownMan - July 17, 2005 09:39 PM (GMT)
I sometimes play it, but not too much now adays. before it wass all about chrono trigger
fxar99 - July 17, 2005 09:58 PM (GMT)
You guys are newbies. :D I have level 60+ characters and I also have defeated Lavos only with Crono. I'm trying to reach level 99 so that I can see the "Red Nu" Spekkio I've read about... ;)
However, I don't know one thing (only  ). What happens if you go to the Blackbird without Ayla? I was very lucky to have Ayla in my party the first time I played, because I hadn't disabled her since the battle with Azala. If you don't have Ayla, you return to the starting point every time you face a monster. Has this happened to anybody? :P

Haha, you call us newbies and then ask a question about the game? All of my characters are at the maximum level. Now I'm working on getting everyone's magic, power, and speed up to the maximum with tabs. And yes, I've gone through the Blackbird without Ayla. There is a room you can get to without fighting that has your equipment in it.
Oh, and by the way, he's more of a pink Nu.
Bitter Milton - July 18, 2005 05:07 AM (GMT)
I have all level 99s on my original copy of CT. Bought it back in '95! Ah, good times, good times. The Red Nu is the coolest character ever. I'll try and get a picture of him.
Sir_Crono531 - July 18, 2005 05:15 AM (GMT)
Do you mean Spekkio? Lol. Cuz so far that's the only red nu character I've ever seen in the game.

Yeah, we were (I was) mocking fxar. And yes, Spekkio is the only red nu. Milton is showing a picture of him as his avatar. I still say he's more pinkish...
fxar99 - July 18, 2005 11:08 AM (GMT)
Come on, guys, I was joking when I said you are newbies. Why do you have to take everything so seriously?
propagator4 - July 19, 2005 07:45 AM (GMT)
Don't be so quick to get offended. Holding whether you were joking or not regardless, I wasn't being serious myself.
Sir_Crono531 - July 22, 2005 11:16 PM (GMT)
Man you guys are such newbs at noticing jokes, and realizing sarcasm, god grow up!........
Anyways I have everyone Level 99, max stats and everything. Lol, I'm just trying to get the last 2 endings I never saw. Anyways why is everyone refer spekkio as the red nu instead of saying Spekkio in Nu form, or spekkio's last transformation or something. It might confuse those newbies out there. ;)
