Title: Should the Forum Stay Open?
Description: Even though the project is ended....

Lashiec - May 18, 2005 06:02 AM (GMT)
I was devastated to hear the news of the project. At first I thought I had somehow found my way to the site for Chrono Ressurection, which was similarly shut down earlier, as you probably all know. I read the words over and over, "Chrono Trigger Remake Project"... and I realized this was it. I found I could no longer link to the forum because the site is shut down, but I'm happy to have discovered a secondary way in.

I just wanted to say that I've had a really great time here with all of you and I really do not want to lose touch with any of you. I hope that this forum will stay open and alive as a hangout for all of us to stay and chat about Chrono Trigger's future possibilities, and other things as well. Please don't abandon this place, it's where I come when I need a little break, and if you leave I will miss you all so much!

Sorry if this topic does not completely belong in this forum, but I feel this is the best place I could put it.

Thank you CTRP Team and members, it's been great,
Lashiec.

I THINK THE FORUMS SHOULD STAY OPEN.

im gonna go on a [DELETED] rant.

EDIT: Don't bypass the forum filter...

KingH - May 18, 2005 12:48 PM (GMT)
should stay open! it's very nice here. and I wanna win another battle here :P

Knives - May 18, 2005 01:46 PM (GMT)
I think the forums should remain open to the public, but be restructured to be more about just CT in general. Also if we do another project they could be redesigned again to fit it. We'll probably disucuss this at the meeting.

Kurachi - May 18, 2005 03:22 PM (GMT)
why should this project die? most people say it
anyway ... i say it should stay... maybe i think they should do what they want to do IF this project dies ;)

TheBrain - May 18, 2005 07:22 PM (GMT)
We don't plan to close the forums, at least for now.

KingH - May 18, 2005 07:36 PM (GMT)
ok that's nice

relmatos - May 18, 2005 08:12 PM (GMT)
I'd guess though that Brain will change his mind if you guys keep acting like that. All that flaming and insulting is lowering the quality of the forum. Please be more careful on what you say.

Thank you, Brain.

And everyone who is complaining: please remember that there is nothing we can do. If there was any way to save the project, I'm sure the team would have done it. Just accept the facts and let's move on.

rpgfan3233 - May 19, 2005 02:04 AM (GMT)
Yes, everybody. Accept the facts and move on to happier thoughts, like the possibility of another Chrono game being released during your lifetime! I mean, why else would SE do this to a MOD of another game? Perhaps they misunderstood, or they just felt that since CT:R was shut down, they had to be fair and halt this project too. Or it could be that they have plans for another Chrono game, remake or not...

Marcel - May 20, 2005 08:31 PM (GMT)
Yay, the forums stay open! :D (for now...)

Perhaps as a vulgar display of power?
I think the only way this project might damage their company is by revealing the fact that other people do a better job at the chrono-front than they do nowadays, and that's not good for their reputation.
Or are they afraid that this will diminish their sales of chrono-trigger the game? :P Sheesh... it's not even available anymore in Holland as far as I know.

Anyway, nobody knows until they choose to give an elaborate explanation in proper (non-lawyer) english.

WolfPack - May 21, 2005 05:05 AM (GMT)
I'll go crazy if these forums close down! I need all you guys in my life! I mean, theres gotta be other projects out there right? Maybe namco wouldn't be such and a s s if you re-did one of thier games.

GalaxyFalcon - May 22, 2005 03:07 AM (GMT)
yay.

Brain, since got closed down, can you post more now?

and also, can you give the CTRP: WC its own thread section?

WolfPack - May 22, 2005 05:33 AM (GMT)
lol. The team should atleast keep the P in CTRP. Maybe the R too  Like make it Old Time Gamers Project, or Old Time Gamers Remake Project. - Just an Idea....

Vash72 - May 24, 2005 12:07 AM (GMT)
Horrible buisness with the CTRP C&D I pretty much felt this might happen but you know you just keep hoping SquareEnix would see it as good publicity for a old favorite not an actual threat as of such........ But that aside I would like to have this forum stay open as Wolfpack suggested it could be moulded into a general gaming site ............. ;)

Anyways,
Cheers,

VAsh
