Rumors are spreading fast that Ron Lauder and other interests paid Pataki to accept the Liebeskind design just prior to last week's announcement...

If this is true, all who hate the Libeskind plan will be very happy!

Yes, many believe it was rigged. The public "input" that they stated they desired so much at the end came to be a flat out lie since Pataki and Bloomberg made the final decision and picked the Libeskind plan.

Also, what competition is this if the original Twin Towers weren't even considered?

For the memorial the LMDC set up a "memorial jury", so if anything goes wrong you know who to blame this time!

Well, at least we have people getting disillusioned with the political incompetence that we're seeing, not just concerning the WTC, so don't lose hope yet.
