I am curious what you all think of the bodyguards, which seems to be the best, and so on.

I haven't tried the Yellow Turban males yet but I have tried the other four. While I like that they have female guards, I am a bit disappointed. The men seem to be better and actually get changes in their features and clothes as you promote them. Of them all though I have to say that the Nanman males seem to be the best. They have some of the neatest changes in looks and seem to actually get out there and fight. I can see them doing jump charge attacks and swatting the enemy around..a lot of times recently my girls seem to get stuck..I will tell them to guard me or set them up in a place to guard it and you'll see them just standing there and doing nothing. I think it would be cool if they allow your guards in future games to be able to ride horses and elephants too...maybe not all of them but the leader of the guards or the first two guards.Also maybe allowing you to assign each one their own weapon and maybe even being able to assign specific tasks to them. Like have four guard a gate and another four guard a general or something.

i like the girl bodyguards(he he) but they don't change at all, as you said. i haven't tried the nanmen, but you convinced me. i voted for nanmen, but who knows? the turban bodyguards could be better, since you get them last.....

Okay I don't recall the Turban bodyguards being that great either. I have by now tried them and have apparently been unimpressed as I deleted them to make way for new guards. I want to try to get some of the special ranks like Tiger and Dragon and I don't recall what else they had. I do have Tiger but want the rest..I wonder what they get called if you max them out in all their abilities?

u cannot max out ur bodyguards there are certain ways 2 get ranks for the bodyguards by using weapons then switching on a certain lv
evry weapon had an advantage(pike=attack) if u want to know how 2 get other ranks pm me

Bodyguard growth is determined by the weapon equipped by your bodyguards when
they gain a level.

I am going to be building up some bodyguards now! I only achieved the rank of Tiger before and I think it had been by accident. Now I want to start all my guards over and get some of the others. Especially Dragon. :D

i bet all you used was pike to get tiger right?

I think I used it after i heard something about it building up attack strength. I know that while I was picking my guards for battle or something i noticed hey gee they are ranked Tiger. Since then i have consciously tried to build up my guards but forgot how to get some of the ranks and didn't know there were so many choices for ranks. (That is until you posted your info. ;) )
