OMFG_ILC - December 5, 2003 01:25 PM (GMT)
According to a recent Reuters report, Taito is planning to sell Space Invaders cabinets in North America again, some 25 years after the game first appeared in arcades. The manufacturing and sales of Space Invaders will be handled by Namco, and Taito hopes to sell around 10,000 of the US$2,772 machines.
"There has been a rebirth of classic video games in America," said Taito spokesman Kengo Naka. "We thought it would coincide nicely with the 25th anniversary of its debut in the U.S."
The game will not be different to the 1978 original in any way, although Taito has stated that a single play on the game will cost 50 cents as opposed to the 25 cents charged when the game was first launched.

50 cents? hmm. Maybe I'll play a couple times. Now, all we need is Galaga.

Space Invaders is where there are 5 rows of enemies shooting down at you and you are a small ship that shoots up at them. If that helps you any :D
Yeah, galaga and galaxian were always fun to play and it was more challenging since the enemy ships actually moved and tried to do kamakazi attacks on you :o!
