Title: CUSTOMIZING WINDOWS XP

O_0FuBaR - September 5, 2003 04:54 PM (GMT)
so as the title says...

i want to share with all of you the option to customize themes and logons and icons all throughout your Windows XP operating systems. There is a large community for it...though it can get bigger.

the original site i found two small files on in order to have custom themes is here:

Lightstar Technologies

Read it very carefully...because you can mess up your sh*t with these .Dll files. It all depends on what service pack you have...original or 1.Read carefully and youll see what is possible.

If you decide to download it and use it...here is a site with a bunch of other software and themes and desktops etc to be used...(some take a little manual entry but its easy as pie)...

WinCustomize/Themes/Software/Etc...

anyways...have fun and be careful with the reading and instructions...

hehe once I deleted the sound from my computer... I couldn't get it back... had to restore my computer to an earlier state... luckily... and w00t it's back...

but wow some of these themes are niiiiiiiice :o!!!

:o some pretty nice looking themes there, but I use Windows 98' SE so I can't use anything

For me I think the only thing it changed is my recycling bin :\ All the rest stayed the same... but now I have more of a XP silver theme (one of the defaults) instead of the blue theme... ;)

win2k > all
xp angers me
*lonelydime cries

I like 2k better then XP. 2k has its problems but I have a lot of issues surronding XP. I still like Windows 98 SE' the best even if it is dated, and gives me blue screens :(

I loved 98, until one day I got this error. Now I don't remember what the error was, but that's because it was so bad I blocked it out...psychological issues. Anyways, all you win98 people are the same..."look at us, the blaster virus doesn't affect us" You all make me sick :fingers:

OMFG_ILC - September 27, 2003 04:10 PM (GMT)
lol @ blaster comment...98 is too obsolete for the new viruses these days.

unless i overlooked it, i dont see mention of themexp.

gilliam - October 19, 2003 11:37 AM (GMT)
themexp is nice and easy to use, but you get a 15 day trial b4 its $19 or $29(i think) to buy it... unless u go through certain ppl(like me) to get your reg key.

i have a few themexp-ed desktops at http://gilliam.deviantart.com

i skimmed through the booring posts ( :p ) so didnt see if http://www.themexp.org was mentioned yet. greatest themeXP themes, boots, icon packs, and walls there.
