ya cant really put down CS unfortunately.Afterall..it is the most played online game EVER.You cant top that with TFC by anywhere near close...matter of fact...TFC is a fraction of what CS is.But oh well...
The only thing im worried about in the future is HL2...i hope TFC doesnt die because of it...though im sure theyll have a kick ass multiplayer for it...

CS used to appeal to me until the accusations of cheats and no real way to prevent it.... Yeah, hopefully TFC doesn't die :( It'll live forever!!! muahahah but who I am kidding... it'll go p00fies one day :|

If TF2 ever comes out I doubt it will have the fire of the original. For starters bringing in a commander will slow down the momentum of the game and make gameplay depend too much upon one person like in NS. So if you have a newb commander you aren't going anywhere. Valve will be pressured into adding a lot more depth and structuring to the core of the gameplay so it would be able to compete with newer entries to the MMFPS genre like BF1942, Tribes Vengence, or MOH:AA. Sounds good but when you think about it will be lacking the classic appeal of the original TF/TFC. The simple gameplay elements of TFC help make it easy for new comers to get into, and hold enough appeal for long time gamers. They might end up adding too much depth & complexities that it takes away from the simple fun of the game.
After HL2 comes out there is a good chance that TFC would sadly die though, as you can except several killer mods coming out for it which will draw away interest from this timeless classic :cries:

personally, i bet if they made tfc for hl2 it would need so much power out of your computer with the physics and well, i personally dont want a sensry gun flung at my face thank you very much.
