I don't know about you, but I'm about to go insane. Everytime I go to join a fanlisting or a clique, it says something fux0rzing stupid like put "don't I know it, hunny!" under the "ur so fine, chica!" box on the join form so I know you read the rules!!!! DON'T YOU KNOW THAT IT DOES NOTHING?! All someone has to do is skim the rules page and find the "secret code" or whatever. For joining fanlistings, its pointless. I've joined over 100 fanlistings and I KNOW the fanlistings rules drill: * You must be a fan of _________. Cuz LYKE OMG otherwise, lyke, why the hell would you be here?! DUH!!!! (I fux0rzing hate that "rule".. NO sh*t HUH?!) * Must have a vaild email address. * If you have a website you must have the code up to have it listed and don't direct link the code. * Must include your country. ITS NOT THAT HARD. But forcing us to put some idiotic code is ridiculous and annoying. If someone has that crap on their form, I usually just close the window because I don't want to have to go read their standardized rules page and search for their stupid ass "secret password". For cliques, I guess it COULD be different because cliques can have different rules - but for fanlistings, you HAVE to have the same fair rules otherwise thefanlistings.org will put you on the "troubles" list or whatever. STOP DOING THAT ITS DRIVING ME INSANE. IT. IS. POINTLESS! It doesn't "make" anyone read the rules, they just have to hassle skimming over the rules page and copying and pasting the long code. Another thing.. if you have to have some dumbass code, DON'T make it like 5-6 words long.. that's stupid! ONE WORD is good enough, if you will absolutely die without it. Anyway.. basically, words can't describe the annoyance at dumb codes, and usually I won't join it, especially if the "code" is more than two words long because its stupid. I know other people that don't either. It also annoys me that now, people are so use to "secret codes" that when they join my cliques or fanlistings, they search frantically for a code because I have an "anything else" or "comments" field... and write stuff like "I couldn't find a code, but I read the rules!!" A GOOD thing to do is put the rules right above the join form.. that way you only have to click on the join form, read the rules above the form and fill it out instead of all the hassle. I'm very into being hassle free |
