Eventhough it came out three years ago in Hong Kong... and now coming out in America... which of you have seen it before.. in the Chinese version? and which are going to see it in theaters??
I think it was a halarious movie... but I'm guessing with the English dubbing it's not going to be as funny... :\

it was a real good movie, but like you said the English dub will probably be dissapointing. It always loses something in the translation and most of the voiceovers dont match the characters and comes off pretty lame.

my worst nightmare
i saw it in cantonese, its damn funny as hell.
but when it comes out in america. no one will understand the little inside chinese jokes and thus, ALL OF IT WILL BE RUINED!
and when somone likes it and they ask me if i've seen it, then if i tel them the truth they wont believe me. i will kill any man/woman that does this...

we'd probably end up laughing more at the crappy dubbing then at the movie itself. I'm just hoping they stay true to the dialouge used in the actual movie rather then over "Americanize" with the typically poor humor that is so common in dubbings like this.

then again we could always download it :D It's like seeing the full verson of Anime from Japan, then coming here to Canada and seeing the cut-out scenes and English dubbed... Once you've seen how it originally was before changes, it's just not the same...

yep it always loses something in the translation, and the little inside jokes that are usually placed in the original are removed as the dubbers didn't get them :(

rofl I rented the chienese version cuz, well, Im chinese. It was as funny as hell. BUt if you like that, go get another movie by stephan chow. GOD OF COOKERY! I have that one too. GOD OF COOKERY! its so funny too. all movies he stars in are funny.
