Title: Sentai 2010 rumors

pikapix58 - September 21, 2009 04:57 AM (GMT)
What we do know. Note: everything posted below has previously been posted by Dukemon22, and can be view at his blog;

A copyright for the 2010 Sentai has appeared on the IPDL, but has not been officially posted (and won't be until around October 10th.) Till then, we won't know for sure whether Goseiger is truly the name for next year's series, or just the current choice. I'd say it has about a 98% chance of being the name.

The name, as spelled in the copyright is "天装戦隊ゴセイジャー", which roughly translates to "Heavenly Clothing Sentai Goseiger." Tensou, is possibly a pun, meaning transfer, possibly having to do with the playing cards the rangers are rumored to have. (It's essentially confirmed that cards will be a staple of next year's show, but we have to wait for confirmation on pretty much anything else.)

Below is a series of rumors that I perceive to be reliable, though by no means should this info be taken without a grain of salt. We should know more by the end of the month. I am merely reposting this info here for people who follow the blog, and not the boards, and for my own purposes in cataloging the rumors. In any case, here's what have so far:

-The rumored story for Goseiger maintains that a group of 5 warriors (technically 3- Red, Blue and Yellow, with 2 joining shortly lefter- Green and Pink), rebel from a force on their home planet, who are trying to take over the Earth. All together, there are 12 warriors, so the rebels are outnumbered. 5 heroes, 7 villains, and essentially all rangers.

Each warrior has the ability to use different cards, and the 52 cards have been scattered over the Earth, which our heroes (and villains) will try to find. As far as this rumor goes, Red's Symbol is a Star, Blue's a Square, Yellow's a Triangle, Green a X, and Pink a Circle. These symbols are apparently the suit of the cards the rangers will use. It is safe to assume that there are more than 52 cards, however.

-Another rumor insists that there will indeed be two seperate kinds of cards. The majority of thse (possibly those in the set of 52) are in the style of the Ganbaride DCD game. Other cards will actually act as the rangers' henshin devices, and be of a thicker, metal build. They are described as being like the Enjin Souls and Gaia Memories, with sound and light effects.
-The core team, as stated before, will consist of Red, Blue and Yellow. The add-ons will be Green and Pink, with Yellow and Pink being female.
-As far as mecha goes:
Red- A Dragon (Western Style)
Blue- Unicorn
Yellow- A Bird (if we're following the Western myths theme, possibly a thunderbird phoenix, or the like.)
-Red's Dragon will be able to transform by itself into a Robot, and will actually be the team's first robot. It's toy will be sold for 5,000 yen.
-Blue's Unicorn and Yellow's Bird, sold together in a set, will be able to combine into a Pegasus. The Pegasus will apparently be adorned with cards in some way.
-The Dragon and Pegasus mecha will unite into a bigger robot, which will have its chest and shoulders adorned by cards as well.
-The Henshin and Roleplay series will be compatible with the cards.
-Blue and Yellow greatly resemble Red in design (which supports the pics we have so far)
-Red's Dragon may be called "SutsuDragon" (SuitDragon)
-Green's monster will be a Cobra. His personal weapon is a CobraRod, not unlike Kamen Rider Ouja.
-Pink's monster is still unknown

Something I forgot to add to the last post;

QUOTE (Dukemon22)

Still not sure if the red and blue pics are legit, but, we'll see. If they are legit, there is a chance that some detailing will be added to them. (We had the same situation with Magiranger.)

If Red and Blue are males, which they are rumored and pictured to be, at this point, then yellow would have to be a female. (This is assuming the consistent rumors of the starting 3-team to be right.) We've only had 1 instance in Sentai where a 3-team was all male.

pikapix58 - September 21, 2009 08:12 PM (GMT)
And the info keeps coming in, this time it's about info regarding the robot (and it comes with a sketch);

QUOTE (Dukemon22)
-Following the new "fad" of recent years, and picking up from the creative design of Shinkenger's OriGami, Goseiger's monster-mechs will lay dormant in shape-forms. (Star, Square, Triangle, X, Circle.) When their respective card is instered, the mecha awaken.

For instance, demonstrated in the pic, when GoseiRed inserts his Dragon-Card into the the cardslot on his mecha, the sound "Go! Seiger Go! Go Go Dragon!!" is heard.

-The 5 piece gattai seems to have:
Red- Chest and Head
Green- Arms
Yellow- Waist
Blue- Right Leg
Pink- Left Leg

GoseiPink pic and some new info;

New Info:
It seems those who wanted a male yellow, may get their wish. Because of pink's rumored, split personality (ala Double, Vancuria), our 5 team, would actually be a 6-team, and so that's were the rumors got construed regarding 1 or 2 girls.
The existing rumor of the bird uniting with blue's unicorn still stands, only now the bird mecha has been changed to being pink's. We'll have to wait for more info, and an official pic of yellow though.

pikapix58 - September 26, 2009 02:48 AM (GMT)
Saw this at a couple other places and thought I'd pass it along here. This pic was made by a RangerBoard member called Sungel.

Please keep in mind that the Green and Yellow as depicted in that pic are Photoshops, and not actual concept art like what we've seen with Red, Blue and Pink. Also is anyone else more inclined to think that the X on Green's helmet will end up looking more like the one on Go-onGold's than what's in that pic?

Wolf Warrior - September 27, 2009 02:49 AM (GMT)
Looks some thing like from Zeo.

trey98607 - September 28, 2009 12:26 AM (GMT)
You mean mostly like Ohrangers.

pikapix58 - September 28, 2009 01:06 AM (GMT)
Well with the helmet designs, and the suits of the rumored cards supposedly being based on Zener cards, similarities to Ohranger are inevitable.

Dukemon22 just posted this pic at his blog;

It's a rumored design for one of the villains, most likely the grunt soldiers.

Dukemon22 has posted a new pic and some new info;

Possible Executive of the Goseiger villains. Not to push the "card motif" down anyone's throat, but the design does evoke "Joker" for me.

The info
QUOTE (Dukemon22)
First things first. A heap of rumor updates suggests that a 6th ranger (Black) will be the one who will have the cobra motif. Sort of makes sense, seeing as how there are supposed to be a bunch of evil "rangers." A cobra makes a great make, but it makes an even better mecha for an antihero.
Okay, onto this new rumor. So, this rumor says that the rangers beasts will be called the "Tensou Beasts", and of course, their cards are the "Tensou Beast Cards." Here is the rumored laist of our core rangers' beasts:
Red- Tensou HotDragon (Dragon)
Blue- Tensou IceHorse (Horse, according to rumors, a unicorn)
Yellow- Tensou ShiningHeron (Heron, matching the rumors of a bird)
Green- Tensou GardenGiraffe (Kirin)
Pink- Tensou SuperFox (Fox/Kitsune)
The poster described Super Fox as being similar to GingaPink's Gingatto.

Wolf Warrior - October 5, 2009 02:13 AM (GMT)
The whole card thing reminds me of Bakugan.

trey98607 - October 5, 2009 12:54 PM (GMT)
That last picture reminds me of the old Rita Repulsa from Mighty Morphin, which is coming back next year.

Apparent pic of the Black Goseiger, entitled Viper by the poster. He seems very evil, and to me at least, is obviously a cobra. (Check out the egyptian style headgear).
The thing that seals the deal for me, is that the belt buckle, while more ornate, matches Red, Blue and Pink's.

Dukemon22 has posted a couple new pics;

Clearer image of the rumored black senshi. Dukemon22 didn't really have much to say about this other than he's still not sure if it's legit or not, but if it is, he's happy.

Rumored actress for GoseiPink, who's likely going to be the only girl on the team. Unfortunately Dukemon22 wasn't able to get her name, or even find her page on her talent agency's site.

Wolf Warrior - October 23, 2009 03:33 AM (GMT)
The Gosei suits look like a mix of Zeo (Helmet wise) and Jungle Fury (Power-Up wise)

trey98607 - October 23, 2009 12:19 PM (GMT)
Except the Pink Ranger had a oval for a visor, not a circle.

Wolf Warrior - October 23, 2009 02:25 PM (GMT)
True.

RedStrikerRanger - October 24, 2009 03:07 AM (GMT)
but they do look like zeo...kinda, the green ranger has an x for the visor instead of a rectangle and blue has the rectangle instead of the upside down triange.

New rumors;

QUOTE (Dukemon22)
More Goseiger Rumors (mostly GoseiBlack)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-The 5 Goseiger and GoseiBlack have a similar Henshin Device

-GoseiBlack's weapon is called the "Viper Bute", a whip and sword. (We've seen him pictured with it.)

-The 5 Goseiger's monster beasts combine to form "GoseiOh"

-GoseiOh and Black's Cobra Monster can unite, with the Viper switching out for GoseiOh's right arm

-GoseiBlack starts out as Red's rival.

-GoseiBlack's robo, AnkokuOh, is formed from the Cobra Monster (Black) and a Wild Boar Monster (Navy Blue.) The Cobra becomes the upper-body and head, while the Boar becomes the back and lower body. AnkokuOh is said to resemble SaiDaiOh.

Assuming that the name "GoseiOh" is true, is it just me or is anyone else starting to get sick of robot names that end with "Oh"? Since this will mark the third year in a row that uses that naming convention.

Purple Ranger 14 - November 1, 2009 03:35 AM (GMT)
I hear ya.

pikapix58 - November 1, 2009 09:41 PM (GMT)
Dukemon22 just posted a pic at his blog for what could be another Gosei villain. I'm only going to link the blog this time, because the pic itself is combined with the pics for the jester villain, and Black, so swing by Dukemon's blog to check it out.

trey98607 - November 11, 2009 01:37 PM (GMT)
You can also find it at My Webpage as well.

pikapix58 - November 14, 2009 06:04 AM (GMT)
Just saw this at Henshin Soul and though I'd pass it along. I normally wouldn't do casting rumors until December (if at all), but after reading the Wiki article on this one, I felt I kinda I had to mention it. Either way here it is;

QUOTE (Kai)
Among the tons of (fake ?) casting rumors on japanese or american websites, one shines more than the others.

This young girl, Shoko Nakagawa, wanted to play in a Sentai series for a long time. An article on her blog says her dream came true. I think we have our official GoseiPink !

For those that can read Japanese click here for her blog, and for the rest of us out there here's her Wiki page.

Purple Ranger 14 - November 16, 2009 07:20 AM (GMT)
Let's hope it's not like some past Power Rangers rumors like when they said some Disney girl was gonna play Rose on Power Rangers Operation Overdrive.

pikapix58 - November 20, 2009 10:44 PM (GMT)
While this actually isn't any new info regarding Goseiger, in the latest post on his blog, Dukemon22 gives us confirmation that Sentai will be getting its own card game in the vein of Kamen Rider's Ganbaride game. Here's the info;

QUOTE (Dukemon22)
As has been rumored for many months, along with Goseiger, Sentai will release its own version of Gunbaride soon, now officially known as "Daisuoh" or "Dice King". It seems to be a card game, which utilizes digital dice to activate different moves.

Now what does any of this have to do with Goseiger? Well the magazine scan that gives us the info regarding DiceOh says to stayed tuned to the February issue of Terbi Kun magazine. And I think we all know what's going to show up come February, which sort of gives us some strong evidence that DiceOh will relate to Goseiger in probably the same way the Ganbaride related to Decade.

pikapix58 - November 29, 2009 06:29 AM (GMT)
Just saw this info at Henshin Soul, and to an extent is sounds kinda sketchy to me, but it's supposed to be real. Either way take it with a grain of this. Anyway this info is supposedly the confirmed cast for Goseiger, and pics of the actors who'll be playing them;

user posted image

QUOTE (Kai)
Let’s start with GoseiRed, whose name will be Ryuichi Amanogawa (Litterally translated as « The first dragon of the Milky Way »), he will be played by Ryosuke Miura. Miura played Kane Lucano / Beetle-Sazer in Sazer-X in 2005 / 2006. More recently he played the Tiger Orphenoch (Lucky Clover’s leader) in Kamen Rider Decade’s Faiz World.

user posted image

QUOTE (Kai)
You surely recognized Shinji / Kamen Rider RYUKI in Kamen Rider Decade, played by Momosuke Mizutani. He will play Riku Aoba / GoseiBlue (Character name not confirmed).

user posted image

QUOTE (Kai)
Tatsuya Isaka will be Koto Midorikawa (Character name not confirmed). He played Shota Date / RiserGlen in JustiRiser dans incarned Ichigo Kurosaki in Bleach the Musical.

user posted image

QUOTE (Kai)
Rumi Hiiragi will play Tsuchimaji Doma / GoseiYellow (Character name not confirmed). Rumi doesn’t have a lot of references, but she played in a episode of Ultra-Q.

user posted image

QUOTE (Kai)
And finally, some of you may recognize her, the famous singer Shoko Nakagawa will portray Masao Kurosaki / GoseiPink (Character name not confirmed)

There's also some OP/ED rumors, but there's something telling me that these are probably fake, since we usually don't hear about the theme song until around New Year's at the earliest. Either way here's the info;

QUOTE (Kai)
The opening theme will be sung by Shoko, who wanted to sing a Sentai opening for a long time. It will be called Gotta GOLD.

The ending theme, Kirisake REVOLUTION, will be sung by Dandelion with MASH.

Despite the fact that this info has been "confirmed" until we get an actual cast pic, it's up for debate as to whether or not it's true. But for now the one thing we should be worrying about will be the toy catalog scans, which hopefully should be popping up within the next week or so.

Purple Ranger 14 - November 30, 2009 12:29 AM (GMT)
Some people just can't get away from Tokusatsu.

pikapix58 - November 30, 2009 03:27 AM (GMT)
Actually the one thing I find ironic about these casting rumors is that two of the candidates were stars of the ChouSeiShin series, which tried to rival Sentai a few years ago.

Purple Ranger 14 - December 1, 2009 04:43 AM (GMT)
Kind of like how one of the stars of Madan Senki Ryukendo was on four episodes of Kamen Rider Decade.

Red - Arata (Skyick Sword)
Black - Aguri (Landick Axe)
Blue - Haido (Seaick Bowgun)
Pink - Eri (Skyick Shot)

-Goseiger is going with the celestial motif. The pamphlet describes them as Guardian angels wielding Gosei power.

-Their enemy is the Warstar Army.

Goseired/Arata - Skyic power wielder. Dragon motif. The optimistic and independent one.

Goseiblack/Agri - Landic power wielder. Snake motif. He tries to play cool but is hot-blooded in nature. Older brother to Goseiyellow/Mone.

Goseiblue/Hydo - Seaic power wielder. Shark motif. The oldest and wisest of the five.

Goseipink/Eri - Skyic power wielder. Phoenix motif. A childhood friend of Arata, and is also optimistic about life. The maternal figure of the group.

Goseiyellow/Mone - Landic power wielder. Tiger motif. Youngest yet the most frank and mature one. Cares dearly of her older brother and tends to do combo attacks with him in battle.

pikapix58 - December 3, 2009 06:41 PM (GMT)
After looking at the first pic a few more times, it appears as if the mecha for the series will be called "GoseiMajin", and they'll combine into a robot called GoseiGreat (point 5). The points in the first pic also mention cards fairly heavily, specifically calling them "GoseiCard"(point 2). The attachments that you see on the barrels of their guns are what I assume is being referred to as "GoseiHeader"(point 3). And as far as I can tell it looks like the henshin device is going to be called the "Tensouder" (point 4). Don't quote me on any of this, since I'm not exactly fluent in Japanese, and am just picking out what I do know from the katakana in the first pic. We'll know for sure what's what when we get the toy catalog scans hopefully within the next week or so.

Edit: just had a good look at the first pic again and it appears that the premiere date for Goseiger will be on Valentine's Day.

Purple Ranger 14 - December 3, 2009 10:33 PM (GMT)
These look better than the sketches we got before.

trey98607 - December 4, 2009 01:45 AM (GMT)

Wolf Warrior - December 4, 2009 02:25 AM (GMT)
Nice suit designs. Better then the weird ones, We got eariler. But blue and green, Remind me of. GaoBlue and AbareBlack,

pikapix58 - December 4, 2009 03:37 AM (GMT)
Ah crap! I kinda screwed up a little in my last post. The mecha aren't "GoseiMajin", but rather "GoseiMachine".

pikapix58 - December 4, 2009 06:13 AM (GMT)
Just found this on Henshin Justice;

QUOTE (Gold Samurai)
In a hidden dimension humans can't see, named "Gosei World", there are mortals called "Gosei Angels". They possess super power called Gosei Power that no human has, which can only be used to protect the Earth and mankind. Unknown to humans, they had been protecting the Earth from harmful elements. To defend the Earth from invading enemies, the Gosei Angels use a passageway called "Tower of Sky" to travel from the Gosei World and the surface.
However an invading enemy group called "War Star" is invading the Earth and destroyed the Tower of Sky passageway. With the passageway blocked, the Gosei Angels are unable to reach the surface. Without the Gosei Angels, will the Earth be destroyed by these invaders?

However at this time five young and immature Gosei Angels happen to visit the human world, are standing up against the devils to protect the Earth. They are the hero, Goseigers!

pikapix58 - December 4, 2009 06:43 PM (GMT)
Dukemon22 has just posted a new pic on his blog. The pic is a fan sketch of what GoseiGreat is supposed to look like, which he compared to the proposed redesign of DaiZyuJin.

Some info on the toys, which should also give us an idea about the weapons/mecha;

QUOTE (Dukemon22)
DX Tensou Gattai Gosei Great:
Releases in - February
Price- 7,500 yen
Info- GoseiDragon, GoseiSnake, GoseiShark, GoseiPhoenix and GoseiTiger unite! Each animal's GoseiHeader can be seperated from its body, and swapped out with others in the toy line (designated by tribe that mecha belongs to.) The auxilary GoseiHeaders will act as this year's gattai series. The composition of GoseiGreat is thus: (the mecha are in fact machines, but modeled after animals, much like Liveman or Jetman)

GoseiDragon- A dragon-bomber jet which forms the head, body, and shoulders.

GoseiSnake- A snake-shinkansen that forms the waist, left leg, and right thigh. The snake head is the foot.

GoseiShark- A shark-submarine that forms the left arm and hand

GoseiPhoenix- A phoenix-jet that forms the right arm and hand

GoseiTiger- A tiger-tank that forms the right leg. The tiger head is the foot.

There are a total of 17 header joints on GoseiGreat (take that as you will.) The robo series is actually pretty seperate from the GoseiCards, with only some relation. The rest of the toy line utilizes the cards greatly.
