Life Is Moving On, So Why Can’t I?

Life is moving,
Passing me by,
All my old and new friends,
Are living their lives!

Depression clutches my body tight,
Standing still,
I cannot breathe,
What if something goes wrong…?

Why can’t I,
Just live my own life,
Be everything I am capable of being!

Why can’t I,
Just move forward,
Instead of allowing fear to hold me back!

Silent screams,
No help for me,
I am starting to think,
That maybe life isn’t worth living anymore!

I am tired of waiting,
I am sick of wanting,
To be saved,
It’s not going to happen …UNLESS I MAKE IT HAPPEN!

Though…I’m afraid…I will make it!
If I just move a bit forward now!
Shaking…Crying…I will make it!
I am almost there!

So, what is there to be afraid of …Except for the unknown!

That is a really profound poem. It made me think, and it relates to what I've been going through lately.
