My True Self

I couldn’t wait to undress you,
To strip you down to reveal your genuine soul.
Your true self shows the qualities that I am looking for.
Don’t play pretend & wear that horrible disguise.
Please place that beautiful smile back on your face I solely want to see it.
Show me that there is still life in you & misery hasn‘t consumed you entirely.

You have been a great actor long enough,
Now it the time to terminate your career.
Play the part that you were meant to play & end the madness.
Quit running from your fears.
Stand your ground.

This is my dream.
This is my cry.
Hopefully one day I will take my words of wisdom with me,
And use them in my own life.
