Take one large potato, and hash it, and two slices of large onions and dice that, then in a large frying pan with 3 cups of butter, over a medium heat, fry until golden brown, stirring it occasionally. Half way trhough, add some whistichire Saucw, (sp) for added punch to it. then serve with some salt.

If you relly want to make it special, try adding some steak juice to it.

What type of potato do you ususually use, I like using White Potatoes. Oh and one other thing I forgot to mention, while you are dicing the onion, put the hashed potatoes in water and stir them around a little, you will notice the water turning grey. this gets rid of the starch in the potatoes.

Still I prefer my hash brown with ketchup & no onions. That & onions make your breath all stinky. :blink: :wacko:

Because of the ratio of potatoes to oinions, you won't even know the onions are there, the frying will mostly kill their flavor, giving the potatoes the most flavor. The only way you are going to notice the onions is if you had Red Onions instead of the Yellow or White ones.
