Hulk Game Has Star Voices
Ron Perlman, Neal McDonough and Richard Moll will lend their voices to the upcoming third-person action game, The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, the GameSpot Web site reported. The game is set for release this August on the PlayStation 2, Xbox and GameCube systems.
Perlman (Hellboy) will play Hulk's rival, Emil Blonsky, as well as the Abomination. Perlman has previously lent his voice to several video games, including Halo 2, The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay and Fallout. McDonough (Minority Report), who provided the voice for Bruce Banner in the 1990s animated television series, will once again portray the Hulk's mild-mannered alter ego. Moll, best known for playing the Bull on the 1980s sitcom Night Court, will voice the evil Devil Hulk.
The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction is being developed by Radical Entertainment for Vivendi Universal Interactive. The game, rated "T" for teen, will have a suggested retail price of $49.99.

Di Filippo Prescribes Doc Samson
Science fiction writer Paul Di Filippo told SCI FI Wire that he will work again in comics by writing a five-issue series based on the Marvel Comics character Doc Samson, a minor player in the Hulk universe whom he hopes to elevate to "A" status. The first of the five issues hits comic shops this month.
"Doc Samson has always been kind of a 'B' player in the Hulk mythos," Di Filippo told SCI FI.COM. "Marvel wanted to kind of break him out and see what he could do as a lead character."
Di Filippo, who describes Doc Samson as a Doc Savage-Indiana Jones type, says that his marching orders from Marvel were fairly specific. "I don't think this will be any reflection on Marvel, because it's just a common way of thinking," he said. "Alan Moore had this character named Tom Strong, and Marvel said they wanted Doc Samson to be like Tom Strong, and they felt he had the potential to have the same kind of adventures."
The author, whose previous comic-book assignment was the authorized sequel series to Alan Moore's Top Ten in 2005, hints that the five stand-alone stories of Doc Samson will lean toward the quirky. "Doc Samson's backstory is that he's a psychiatrist," he said. "Well, I've made him kind of a brawling psychiatrist. He'll try to talk the bad guy down, but if that doesn't work, here comes the beating."
Di Filippo does not want to spoil the story surprises, but offers that the tone of the Doc Samson stories will be on the wacky side. "There will be some wild speculation on whether what is going on is scientific, cosmic, religious or economic," he said. "It's kind of like a Warren Ellis influence."

Duchovny Green For Hulk 2?
Marvel vice chairman Peter Cuneo told AOL's Motley Fool Radio Team that The X-Files' former star David Duchovny is under consideration to take over the title role in a straight-to-video sequel to Ang Lee's 2003 Hulk movie, according to a report on the ContactMusic.com Web site.
Duchovny would reportedly take over from Australian actor Eric Bana, who supposedly pulled out of the sequel project when he learned it would be releasd on DVD.
"Duchovny's name has been bought up several times," Cuneo reportedly said. "He's quite the fan, too."
Hulk, based on the Marvel Comics franchise, was a critical disappointment, but did well enough to warrant a sequel. "The Hulk did $250 million worldwide box office, which is a huge box office, and as you may recall, we had tremendous success with our toy line, which was a complete sell-out, over $100 million worldwide," Cuneo said.

Eric Bana denied to Moviehole.net that he turned down a role in a rumored sequel to Hulk; in fact, the Australian actor said no discussions have taken place about any sequel, contrary to Internet rumors that David Duchovny has been cast in a straight-to-DVD follow-up.
