Pussycat Dolls Stress Importance Of Looking And Feeling Hot
Video for 'Don't Cha' features Busta Rhymes, focuses on confidence and fun.
by Brandee J. Tecson
ANAHEIM, California - Leave it to the Pussycat Dolls to cast someone in their music video who can actually steal attention away from six gyrating half-naked chicks.
"Busta Rhymes is pretty phat, man," singer Nicole Kea said of her larger-than-life co-star. "He is so much fun. He's so humble and he just makes you feel good. ... When you're around him, you feel magical." The rapper is featured on the Dolls' first single, "Don't Cha," and even agreed to appear in the video, directed by Paul Hunter (Jennifer Lopez's "If You Had My Love," Marilyn Manson's "Dope Show").
"We are so grateful that [Busta] did it and was a part of it with us," Kea said. "We feel blessed. ... Cee-Lo wrote 'Don't Cha' and produced it for us, and we're so excited. It's a hot song, and it's very much a Pussycat Doll vibe," Kea said, describing the group's mix of traditional '30s and '40s glamour, rock and roll and couture.
The Pussycat Dolls were the brainchild of choreographer Robin Antin, who founded the sexy burlesque troupe in 1993. Two years later, they performed for the first time onstage at Johnny Depp's Viper Room and swiftly began recruiting some elite Hollywood starlets to play guest Dolls for a day. Charlize Theron, Gwen Stefani, Pink, Britney Spears, Scarlett Johansson and Carmen Electra have all hit the stage in the girls' signature garb.
In 2003, Antin decided to wipe the slate clean and launch an open casting call to find a bevy of fresh new beauties who would be able to take the music industry by storm (see "Sing Like Christina And Dance Like Carmen? The Pussycat Dolls Want You"). "We're looking for really, really hot girls - insanely beautiful girls with beautiful voices. We're looking for a triple threat, or at least a double. They have to really, really sing and really, really dance," Antin said.
Former Eden's Crush member Nicole Kea hopped on board as the group's lead singer, joining Carmit Bachar, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta, Melody Thornton and Kimberly Wyatt. Right now, the new Dolls are busy putting the finishing touches on their debut LP.
"We are working with some pretty phat people," said Kea, dropping names of hot beatmakers Timbaland, Rich Harrison and Sean Garrett. Ron Fair (Kelly Clarkson, Avril Lavigne) is the executive producer of the disc. The girls are aiming for a late summer release, but stressed that they want to take the time to put out the best record possible.
"We've been working on [the album] for a while now because we've been very selective with our songs and our producers, and we don't want to settle," Kea explained. "The whole Pussycat Doll thing is a movement, a whole concept and a thing unto itself. We want [the record] to be like that, and we want the music to be special too."
While the Dolls may have carved out a niche for themselves with their provocative dance moves and body-bearing attire, make no mistake - their first single is all about female empowerment.
"The lyrics are, 'Don't cha wish your girlfriend was hot like me,' " Kea admitted. "But if you see the video, it's all about being who you are, having fun and being confident - and feeling hot," Kea said. "It's not so much about looking hot ... although looking hot is important."
Last summer, the Dolls contributed their sultry interpretation of the classic "Sway" to the "Shall We Dance?" soundtrack. In April, "Desperate Housewives" vamp Eva Longoria helped unveil the new Pussycat Dolls Lounge at Caesars Palace, right in the heart of the Las Vegas strip.
"It's amazing to have the love and support and the belief that [people] have in us," Kea said. "And we're ready. We're ready for it."
And the sultry album title that will help draw in crowds?
"Hot Dolls," Kea joked. "No, we don't know yet. It's all about the music right now."

1 Week, 10 Songs: Editor's Picks
Every week VH1.com music writers choose 10 must-hear, must-have tracks. Come back regularly to find out which tunes we're hot about.

The Peas put their cartoon side up front, the Pussycats taunt unsatisfied dudes, and Embrace might be the next Oasis. Everything from jazz to samba to indie is rocking our world right now. Read the list.
This thing is loaded: pistol shots, yee-haws, echoes of opera, and yep, at its root, a nod to Missy Elliott's "Freak" beat. The Peas like to act larger than life, and on the lead track to their rather crazed new disc, they live up to their cartoonish personality.
Pussycat Dolls - "Don't Cha"
Guest Busta Rhymes says he makes the ladies sizzle "like a summertime cook-out." But this L.A. burlesque troupe does pretty good by themselves. Over a steamy groove they issue a powerful query to unsatisfied men everywhere: "Don't cha wish yrrr girlfriend was hot like me?"

Pussycat Dolls: The New Spice Girls?
Group has summertime anthem with 'Don't Cha.'
by James Montgomery
The long and, ahem, storied history of girl groups - from the Shirelles and the Shangri-Las to 702 and the Spice Girls - is littered with sequined outfits, three-part harmonies and synchronized dance routines, not to mention a whole lot of infighting. But nubile newcomers the Pussycat Dolls are different. There's not a sequin in sight. And their harmonies come in six parts.
Straight out of L.A.'s Viper Room, where they performed celeb-approved burlesque shows before packed houses (see "Sing Like Christina And Dance Like Carmen? The Pussycat Dolls Want You"), the Pussycats don't see themselves as pretenders to the girl-group throne: They prefer to be known as the leaders of the new school.
"We're the newest thing, man. We're a song-and-dance group, and it's not just another cookie-cutter group. It's just like our song says, we're 'Hot, Raw, Freaky and Fun,' " laughed Nicole Scherzinger, Pussycat lead singer and former member of girl-group also-rans Eden's Crush. "I just think we're on the forefront of groups to come out. The Spice Girls weren't bad, but we're the newer version. So I guess it's not 'Girl Power,' it's 'Doll Power.' "
Purple Ranger 14 - July 27, 2005 04:08 PM (GMT)
And the Pussycats - Scherzinger, Carmit Bachar, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta, Melody Thornton and Kimberly Wyatt - are leading their "Doll Power" charge with their first single, "Don't Cha," which has become the summertime anthem for clubgoing gals and shirtless guys alike. And despite its seemingly anti-relationship hook ("Don't cha wish your girlfriend was hot like me?/ Don't cha wish your girlfriend was a freak like me?"), the Dolls insist it's all about empowering their female fans.
"The song might say 'Don't cha wish your girlfriend was hot like me?' But the way we play on it is it's empowering for all women out there. We want them to feel like that," Scherzinger said. "And when we perform it, all the girls in the audience are feeling it, and we always dedicate it to them."
OK then. "Don't Cha" was written and produced by none other than Dirty South super freak Cee-Lo Green (see "Neptunes, Ludacris Help Cee-Lo Operate His Soul Machine"), just one of many collaborations on the Dolls' self-titled debut album, due September 13. Black Eyed Peas mainman Will.I.Am produced and raps on the potential second single, "Beep," and producer extraordinaire Timbaland worked on two cuts, "Wait a Minute" and "Physical." All the guests are just one part of a well-rehearsed plan to take the Pussycats to the top. Add to that their style, songs and sex appeal, and you've got a time-tested formula for success.
"We've got the hottest tracks, we've got real singing on the album, and it's fresh. We've got something for everyone," Scherzinger said. "We are so proud of this album, because no matter what people think it's is going to be like, it's not. Unless you think it's going to be boomin'. Because then you'd be right."

Stefani Behind Pussycat Dolls Success
September 15, 2005 - World Entertainment News Network
Pussycat Dolls singer Carmit Bachar credits Gwen Stefani with kickstarting his band's phenomenal success.
advertisement (story continues below)
Hollaback Girl hitmaker Stefani was so impressed when she performed alongside the saucy burlesque act she took it upon herself to introduce them to her music bosses.
Pussycat Dolls' debut single Don't Cha subsequently rocketed to number two in the US and number one in the Uk.
Bachar says, "Gwen had performed with us before, and one night she brought along her record label bosses."
"They loved the show and wanted to develop a band from it, so we started auditioning performers."

Top-shelf producer Ron Fair spices up the Dolls' PCD with some Wurlitzer piano, and the PCD Orchestra nibbles here and there. Songs include: "Wait a Minute" (with Timbaland), "Beep" (with Will.I.Am) and "Tainted Love/ Where Did Our Love Go."

'Wonderful Mess' Of A Pussycat Dolls Video Leaves Director Feeling Ancient
Director Nigel Dick (Britney, Backstreet, Jessica) is brought on to helm 'Stickwitu' clip.
by James Montgomery
Nigel Dick had the right attitude for someone gearing up to do a Pussycat Dolls video: It ain't high art.
"It's a wonderful mess," the director laughed. "A photographic [rendition of] the life of the Pussycat Dolls: traveling around, getting ready for gigs, being on the tour bus, doing a photo session, waking up in a motel, talking to the boyfriend on the phone, soundchecking. It's informal but beautiful. It's not rock and roll; it's the urban-pop world. I don't think Francis Ford Coppola is going to be [losing] sleep."
Okay, so "The Godfather" it isn't, but the video for "Stickwitu" still manages to be high-fashion and low-brow, glamorous and, um, gritty at the same time. It's the second clip from the Pussycats' pop-tastic debut, PCD, which bowed at #5 on the Billboard albums chart when it was released last month (see "Pussycat Dolls: The New Spice Girls?"). As such - and given the fact that it follows on the heels of PCD's club smash "Don't Cha" - Dick was feeling pressure to deliver.
"There's always pressure on the set, and I never consciously say to myself that it doesn't matter. The videos are always important," he said. "Plus, this video establishes the way they want to be seen from now on. But that's the way it's always been for me. I've been very lucky in my career to do videos for people that are very crucial in artist's careers."
He's not kidding: Name a chart-topping pop group from the past decade, and there's a good chance Dick's done a video for them. From the Backstreet Boys and 'NSYNC to Jessica Simpson and Britney Spears, he's helmed mega-successful videos for the biggest and best pop acts on the planet, which can only mean good things for PCD, right?
Well, maybe.
Purple Ranger 14 - October 13, 2005 04:46 PM (GMT)
"I mean, it's all so fickle," he said of the pop world. "Who really knows? When I worked with Britney, she was 16 years old. All the girls in the Pussycat Dolls are in their 20s, so they're a bit more mature. And there's a different dynamic, because there are six of them instead of one.
"It's always a bit different, but also sort of the same. Like, when I was doing Backstreet Boys videos, people would ask me what it was like working with a boy band. And I told them it's just like working with the Beatles or the Supremes or whomever. I don't think there's any difference. You can like Paul or George or Ringo, but I think people of a certain age will be discussing whether it's [Pussycat Dolls] Carmit or Ashley or Nicole."
The "Stickwitu" video was shot over two days in a variety of Los Angeles locales, including the Orpheum Theatre, the same place where Good Charlotte shot their ain't-we-serious "We Believe" video (see "Good Charlotte Take Off The Hamburger Suits, Decry Human Suffering In New Clip") though Dick said that the Pussycats were far from somber during their shoot. "There's a moment in the video where they each dance, because we wanted something to be a bit uptempo from the single, which is a slow groove. And each girl picked their own music, so it was a little contest between each of them," he said. "They were trying to outdo each other, trying to pump each other up. It was all modern dance mixes. But don't ask me what songs they chose. They each made it abundantly clear that I was no longer in my 20s, because all the music was all quite strange to me. There were no classic-rock numbers."

Shakira, Sean Paul, Pussycat Dolls Warm Up December Night At Jingle Ball
'Laguna Beach' cast, Rihanna also featured at concert for Los Angeles' KIIS-FM listeners.

LOS ANGELES - It may have been a brisk December evening in Southern California, but with Shakira, Sean Paul, Frankie J, Chris Brown, Rihanna and the Pussycat Dolls working to heat up the stage at KIIS-FM's Jingle Ball on Tuesday, there wasn't a case of winter blues to be found at the Shrine Auditorium, where thousands of KIIS Club VIPs packed the sold-out show.
Headliner Shakira generated the most commotion as she took the stage straight after jetting in from the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas (see "Green Day And 50 Cent Dominate Billboard Music Awards"). The pint-sized powerhouse, who donned a black and gray tank tied at the waist to show off her most-wanted abs and tight black pants to highlight those signature dance moves, closed out the show with her husky vocals and sultry shimmies, belting out tunes including "Hey You," from her new album, Oral Fixation, Vol. 2, and "La Tortura." Shakira slowed the pace down midway through by launching into a haunting rendition of "Underneath Your Clothes," from her 2001 English-language breakthrough, Laundry Service, and ended with her latest single, "Don't Bother." While her half-hour set was cut short, the Colombian crooner returned to the stage and did an encore of two more songs before disappearing into the night.
R&B newcomer Chris Brown proved why he was the new face to watch as he easily ran through his four-song set to screams from many young ladies. The suave crooner arrived less than an hour before he was set to hit the stage, coming straight from the awards show in Las Vegas as well. Brown, who wore a black sweatshirt with a portrait of late rapper Notorious B.I.G. airbrushed on the front, performed tracks from his debut self-titled LP including "Gimme That," "Run It!" and his latest single, "Yo (Excuse Me Miss)."
Pussycat Dolls were among Brown's many female admirers, spilling to MTV News that they were most looking forward to seeing the debonair youngster perform live. Appropriately for the holiday celebration, some members donned festive candy-cane-striped belly shirts and red-and-green capri pants. It's been quite a year for PCD, who were just newcomers at KIIS-FM's Wango Tango back in May (see "Old Meets New As Gwen, Ciara, Simple Plan, Peas, J. Lo Rock Wango Tango"). With two hit songs behind them, the girls returned to the stage like seasoned pros. The group performed four songs including their singles "Don't Cha" and "Stickwitu," along with "Wait a Minute," a serious contender for their next single, the Dolls revealed.
Frankie J scored one of the night's highlights by bringing out longtime friend and surprise guest Baby Bash to accompany him on live renditions of hits "Suga Suga" and "Obsession (No Es Amor)." Decked out in stylish evening wear fit for the occasion - a black blazer over a slightly unbuttoned black dress shirt, jeans and shades - Frankie J was in the mood to celebrate on the eve of his 27th birthday. "I'm going to rock the show, and then at midnight, we're going to party," he boasted before his performance. Frankie made a lucky young lady's night when he handpicked her from the crowd to serenade with his hit "How to Deal," and drew screams of approval from fans as he closed with "Don't Wanna Try" and his cover of Extreme's "More Than Words."
Purple Ranger 14 - December 11, 2005 05:04 PM (GMT)
Rihanna opened the show with an energetic set that included "Pon De Replay" and "If It's Lovin' That You Want," while the cast of MTV's "Laguna Beach" mingled with dozens of star-struck teens in between acts, posing for photos and signing autographs with throngs of fans.
And the Laguna posse wasn't above some good-natured ribbing, as KIIS DJs Ryan Seacrest and Ellen K. grilled Talan Torriero on his 11-day engagement to Kimberly Stewart. Seacrest pried for details on the proposal itself, but the reality-show star swiftly dodged the question, only opting to reveal that it took place at his home in Laguna. Meanwhile, Seacrest tried to hook fan favorite Stephen (sans old girlfriend Kristin Cavalleri, who was a no-show) up with a young lady from the audience but he opted to be a good boy, only pretending to be caught in a passionate embrace with the blonde.
Dancehall king Sean Paul, who plans to spend the holidays in his home country of Jamaica after two years on the road, took home the award for most songs squeezed into a set as he breezed through nearly a dozen old and new tracks. Accompanied by his brother on the mic - as well as four bootylicious back-up dancers - Sean Paul got the crowd on its feet, opening with a handful of oldies including "Like Glue," "Gimme the Light," "I'm Still In Love With You," "Get Busy" and "Shake That Thing" from his 2002 debut LP Dutty Rock and topping off with "We Be Burnin'," "Breakout" and "Temperature" from The Trinity. Paul even threw in a couple of wild cards, channeling Beyoncé's "Baby Boy" and a portion of Black Eyed Peas' "My Humps."

Cee-Lo, Jazze Pha Host Happy Hour, And Ciara, Pussycat Dolls Stop By
Joint album, due in February, also features Aaron Hall, Mannie Fresh, Keith Sweat, Nate Dogg.
by Corey Moss
CULVER CITY, California - Cee-Lo is reuniting the Goodie Mob and working on his third solo album, but right now he's most focused on Happy Hour.
No, he doesn't have a drinking problem. Happy Hour is his upcoming joint album with fellow Atlanta producer Jazze Pha.
"It's 60 minutes of well-dressed drama," Cee-Lo said in explaining the collaboration, due on shelves in February.
"Happy Hour" is also the title of the just-released first single and video.
"It's really self-explanatory," Pha said. "You know, the ladies get off work, it's ladies' night, so come kick it with us."
"We'll be your hosts for the evening," Cee-Lo added.
Pha and Cee-Lo first worked together on Trick Daddy's 2002 single "In Da Wind" (Pha as a producer, Cee-Lo as a guest rapper) and then again that year on Field Mob's "All I Know."
"We just go back historically for some time, being friends and being cordial, professionally and personally," Cee-Lo said. "In Atlanta, it's a community there, music-wise" (see "My Block: Atlanta").
Along with co-producing, Jazze and Cee-Lo both sing and rap on Happy Hour. And several of their friends make guest appearances, including Pha protégé Ciara ("Lose Your Cool") and the Pussycat Dolls, for whom Cee-Lo produced "Don't Cha."
The Dolls track, "Disco Bitch," is an ode to Rick James and was first meant for their album, but Pha and Cee-Lo felt it better fit Happy Hour.
Other guests on the album include Aaron Hall, Mannie Fresh, Keith Sweat and Nate Dogg.
As for that Goodie Mob reunion, Cee-Lo had only this to say: "The near future."

Pussycat Dolls Fetch Fashion Freebies From Gwen, Good Charlotte
A-list celebs, designers converge at Grammy Style Studio.
by Corey Moss
HOLLYWOOD - Kanye West isn't the only one with goals going into Wednesday's Grammys. He wants the Album of the Year while the Pussycat Dolls want, well, to avoid the worst-dressed lists.
"We want to be in the front pages of Us Weekly, not the back," Pussycat Melody Thornton deadpanned.
So where's a Doll to go when she needs to get dolled up? Enter the Grammy Style Studio, the third annual Recording Academy-sponsored gifting suite where A-list celebrities and designers converge for what is best described as a smorgasbord of free stuff.
"Music and fashion go hand in hand for sure," Thornton said, inadvertently summing up the event, which kicked off Saturday and extends through Tuesday. And this year's Style Studio blends the two worlds more than ever, with Gwen Stefani, Beyoncé and even the Doors pushing their own products.
"We just got hooked up by Gwen," Thornton said as she juggled various L.A.M.B. tank tops, scarves and shoes in her tiny arms (see "Gwen Previews New Songs, Clothing Line For Diddy, Kravitz, Others"). "I love everything Gwen. She's very fashion-forward. Everything she does is a step ahead."
While networking with designers and stylists is top priority, the Grammy Style Studio is also an opportunity for musicians to meet each other. Saturday was no exception: Thornton, for one, bumped into Tyrese, and within a few minutes was lobbying for a guest spot on his new double album.
"You know, with all of these cameras taking pictures of us talking, we're all of a sudden a couple," the singer told her as dozens of photographers clicked away. "They're gonna say we were shopping together and - what's that word? - noodling."
"Canoodling," she replied, like a true Us Weekly aficionado.
Meanwhile fellow Doll Kimberly Wyatt tracked down Good Charlotte at the Ben Sherman booth to discuss a different sort of collaboration.
"Sure, we'd love to dress you," Benji Madden told her, referring to GC's Made Clothing. "As leaders of whatever fashion there is in our genre, we need to step it up and tell other bands what they should be wearing."
It's all about representing, of course, and there's nothing designers want more than the right celebrities repping for them.
Purple Ranger 14 - February 10, 2006 04:07 PM (GMT)
"There's no better stamp of approval than an artist wearing your shirt or jacket at a concert for 30,000 people," Ben Sherman's entertainment marketing manager, Dana Dynamite, said. "I couldn't ask for anything more. Product placement is so key."
"It's all about how they feel in the product, so if they like it they're going to keep coming back," added Sara Murray of Stitch's Jeans. "I have clients who buy 12 pairs of jeans because they love the fit."
Loyalty comes later, though. At the Style Studio, it's all about maximizing your time. As Linkin Park's Joe Hahn, No Doubt's Adrian Young and Macy Gray worked their way from Pony shoes to Mia & Kompany jewelry to Elini watches, the Pussycat Dolls had their managers bringing bags out to their cars as they continued "shopping."
"It's all forms of self-expression," Wyatt said of her fashion. "And that's what the Pussycat Dolls are about: just putting your best foot forward and having fun and just being a girl."

Here's Pussycat Dolls commander in chief Nicole Scherzinger on the bold sociosexual chess match that is PCD's new single, "Beep":
"It flips the whole women-are-objects thing. It's another girl-empowerment song. It's fun. We're not taking it too seriously. It's like, 'I don't give a "beep"! Keep lookin' at my "beep," 'cause it don't mean a thing if you're looking at my "beep." I'mma do my thing while you're playin' with your "beep." ' It's a good time."
Well said, Nicole. Of course, complex male-female sparring matches rarely become pop-chart heatseekers, so the Dolls were careful to couch "Beep" 's message in a stomping, custom-made beat, courtesy of producer Will.I.Am.
"We were lucky enough to work with Will, and that kid is a monster," Scherzinger said. "He just came in, spit his verses and then got to work on the beat. And the whole time, we were like, 'Wow, we can't believe this is happening!' We're fans of the Black Eyed Peas for a long time, and we always wanted to do a collaboration with them."
If "Beep" 's rather unique take on female empowerment - ogle me all you want, I'm gonna keep doing my thing - sounds a bit familiar, it's probably because Will knows a thing or two about "statement" tunes (ahem, "My Humps").
"Will was a big fan of the message of the song," Scherzinger said. "He was just the perfect person to work with."
The partnership between the Peas and the Pussycats didn't stop in the studio. The Dolls have been tapped as the opening act on the Peas' spring headlining tour (see "Black Eyed Peas Unveil Dates For Headlining Trek, Tap Pussycat Dolls As Openers"). With the Benny Boom-directed "Beep" clip having just been added to MTV's rotation, and with another all-star MC, Snoop Dogg, already committed for their next single (see "Snoop Dogg Pushing The Pussycat Dolls' 'Buttons' "), it's shaping up to be a big year for the group.
Scherzinger said the Dolls are just taking things as they come. After all, as she's maintained time and time again, you don't want to get too serious about things.
"We've got all the best producers and all the best beats, but no matter what song we're talking about, it's going to be fun," she said. "Like on 'Beep,' rather than cursing in the hook, we just go 'beep' because you can't say the words. We just want people to laugh, dance and have a good time."

Pussycat Dolls’ Nicole Scherzinger won’t go knickerless
Tuesday December 12th, 2006 at 11:14 am by LucyLastic
She may wear exceptionally racy outfits and pose mostly-nude as the lead singer of burlesque group turned pop stars the Pussycat Dolls, but Nicole Scherzinger has revealed she has no intention of following in the current Hollywood trend of going commando.
She told Complex magazine recently: “Coming from Kentucky, we’re simple, so we wear kinda granny-looking, cute little flowery lacy things.”
“I grew up in a conservative Catholic family, so [even] being in the Pussycat Dolls was a big stretch for me.”
She also revealed she has no plans to just stick to singing in the band: when she joined the group, she only did so on the proviso that she was also given a solo recording deal at the same time and she is currently working on her debut solo album. But even that is not enough for her: “I want to do movies, another Pussycat Dolls album, and another solo album after that. I want to write my own Broadway musical, too.”
Pussycat Nicole plans to keep her underwear on
Although Nicole Scherzinger isn’t afraid of showing off her body in revealing outfits as lead singer of burlesque group turned pop tarts the Pussycat Dolls, she says there’s no way she’ll pull a Britney and go commando.
“Coming from Kentucky, we’re simple, so we wear kinda granny-looking, cute little flowery lacy things,” she told ‘Complex’ magazine.
“I grew up in a conservative Catholic family, so being in the Pussycat Dolls was a big stretch for me,” she added.
The singer has also revealed her future career plans, saying she’s currently concentrating on her debut solo album but after that she wants “to do movies, another Pussycat Dolls album, and another solo album after that. I want to write my own Broadway musical, too.”

PUSSYCAT DOLLS star ASHLEY ROBERTS has warned fans an impersonator is pretending to be her on networking website MySpace. The DON'T CHA hitmaker is too busy promoting and performing to interact with fans over the internet, and she is staggered someone has taken so much time stepping into her shoes. She says, "Some of you have asked if that is me on MySpace. I am flattered at whoever put the time into that, but it is not me."
PUSSYCAT DOLL GIVES UP ONE HER POOCHES
THE PUSSYCAT DOLLS beauty KIMBERLY WYATT is devastated after she was forced to give up her new puppy ZEUS to a friend. The DON'T CHA singer realised the pooch was suffering from depression because she couldn't spend enough time with him, so decided to give him to a pal. Wyatt says, "I had to give my baby boy Zeus to a friend cause my fragile little fella couldn't handle me being gone so much and was so depressed he would lose hair and weight so I had to give him to a friend where he would be happy always. "I do still have NIKE and I have had another little Chihuahua for a while now named CUPID. He's a little snuggle muffin. They truly are the best things to come home to."

Pussycat Doll, Melody Thornton has let slip that she does not intend to be a Doll forever, and only sees the successful girl group as a platform onto bigger and better things.
Thornton has claimed that when she first joined the group, things were not as great as they appear.
According to Female First she said: "When I first met all of the girls, some of them - not the girls who are in the group now - were not as welcoming.
"I was like, 'What? I'm a kid. Leave me alone."
"I'm biding my time...We all see this as a springboard for something else.
“Some girls have said, 'It's my dream to be in a pop group,' and I'm like, 'OK, because I want to be Mariah Carey.'".
In your dreams babes…

Singer's Her Name Is Nicole debut — also featuring Will.I.Am, Akon, Ne-Yo — is due in September.
by Jayson Rodriguez, with reporting by Liz Hernandez
When Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls announced she was putting together a solo project a couple of years ago, the leggy starlet had plenty of collaborators lining up to work with her, including Diddy, Will.I.Am and Akon, among others.
But after recording her debut, Her Name Is Nicole, with a mix of producers, Scherzinger — who was born in Hawaii but raised in Louisville, Kentucky — decided to go with her Southern roots for the lead single and picked T.I. to guest star on the track (see "Pussycat Doll Nicole Snares Timbaland, Will.I.Am For Solo LP").
"My boys from the South kind of put it together," Scherzinger explained of "Whatever You Like" while on the BET Awards red carpet Tuesday night at Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium.
"I was working on the first single with Polow [Da Don] and Sean Garrett, it's all in the family here, you know? And we were like, 'T.I. would be cool to work with, and he's not bad,' " she continued, joking. " 'He's kind of easy on the eyes, he's all right.' "
The end result was "Whatever You Like," which, according to Scherzinger, will be released in just a few weeks, followed by her album in September. A representative for her label, Interscope Records, couldn't confirm any details regarding a video for the track just yet.
In addition to Polow, Garrett and Tip, the pop singer has also put in studio time with a notable list of artists, including Macy Gray and Timbaland, and she has also recorded material with Ne-Yo. Akon and Will.I.Am will also be featured on Her Name Is Nicole, although Diddy's participation is still unclear.
"I've been so blessed to work on this album the past couple years with some of my greatest friends," Scherzinger said. "I know I have so many other people [I worked with], my mind is slipping me, but I'm just excited about it 'cause it's really eclectic and I got to do a lot of writing on it, stuff that I think that's significant to me and what I want to say and don't want to say. It's a lot of fun; I'm proud about it."
