Title: "When You Say"

Written during a moment of complete frustration over some old friends.
"When You Say"
When you say that I am crazy
That is an uttermost lie
I can't be crazy if I'm harmless as a fly.
When you say that I am a non-Christian
How clueless can you get!
I trust Him with all my heart
He is slowly working in my life.
When you say that I am a bitch
I shake my head and laugh
Your are in the wrong as I am
For judging based on first impressions.
When you say happiness eludes me
Boy are you ever wrong!
I deserve happiness too
Because in God's eyes we are all the SAME!

This poem doesn't exclude Pagans needing happiness & love too, does it? :unsure: Just thought that I ask. :D
Other than that good job. Is this your first try at poetry? I remember that you were saying a while back that you wanted to start getting into poetry. I am curious if this is your first poem. :) Keep it up.
There are always going to be a-holes to put you down. Remember those who at least care about you & love you. In this sh*thole world you need all the love & peace you can get. :lol:

No absolutely not.. That one particular line was directed toward someone that said that to me at some point. I wrote this and that other poem in 2000 so it's been a long time since I've written any. Poems don't come as easy for me like stories do. I actually have a love poem written somewhere that I put together in 1999 but I lost that. It sucks because that was actually my best work!!

Aw good. ^_^ It's the opposite with me I have trouble writing stories & poetry seems to come so easy to me. I too am working on a story. Yet, I am having trouble with getting the words out. Any suggestions? :(
