Title: My creation of the Custom's
Description: Progress of...

The_Crow - February 12, 2005 09:30 PM (GMT)
I don't know where to put this since it is in a way a collection

But anyway

In October last year I started on making my very FIRST custom of Raziel

I have being building and re building with the use of Lego Technic parts from Robo Rider, Slizers and Bionicle

After a while I started sawing of the jaw and put on a part of the bottle cab as the teeth for the custom and started painting which was a HUGE mistake

After christmass I finally was given what I wanted and I started working on the figure again, made new claws and feet for him, removed the old wing's and replaced them with better wings and left it that way until I noticed that the chest and the spine where to big so off to sawing and gluwing and using clay again

in the end it came closer to perfection even though it still needs some fining up here and their but it started looking better...

Then came the next problem, the color... I have tried mixing 3 different blue and still it is not the right color, oh well

Here are some pictures on how far it is now

It looks cool, dude.

The_Crow - February 19, 2005 06:32 PM (GMT)
Well yesterday I took the time of working further on the Custom Raziel and MAN... Did I goofed thing's up or what

Thirst where the wing's, they where a little to lose so I cut them of and glued them on a piece of fabric and glued it back on the back which was a HUGE mistake, really it looks like crap

Second is the left claw, I noticed that it was to big so I decided on making the hand a little smaller... A BIG NO NO... It first looked good, but after trying to put up some tape it looked horrible that I had to think up something different

Third is the collar that covers Raziel's missing jaw... I misglued it on and now I had to remove it

Fourth are the arm's, they are to bloody thick... I really need to think something up for a replacement as I am planning on buying 2 PRNS light up figures (2 Green Samurai Rangers, 1 for display without the package and the other for the custom), the same goes to the leg's

Fifth problem is the chest... It need's to be made a little shorter as well as still finding the right shade of blue

Well luckaly I may have trought up an alternative for the hands/claw's which is the same concept I am going to do with the Hoof's/Feet namely using the lego parts I originally used back in October last year when Raziel was a Lego Creation

Sorry, but I don't have pictures of how Raziel looks right now because I want to save you all the horror

Purple Ranger 14 - February 20, 2005 05:15 AM (GMT)
That sucks what happened.

The_Crow - February 20, 2005 02:35 PM (GMT)
like I said in the previous post dude...

It is very hard making a custom like the 1 I am making... I have made some errors and I have to think up an alternative for the errors

Purple Ranger 14 - February 25, 2005 03:33 PM (GMT)
You've got a lot of creativity, Michel. I know you'll do great with this.

The_Crow - February 27, 2005 11:29 AM (GMT)
I hope so

Purple Ranger 14 - March 2, 2005 02:57 PM (GMT)
I know so, Buddy.

The_Crow - March 2, 2005 09:35 PM (GMT)
Well I have some good news... 2 days ago I was working on my custom again and the alternative for the claw is working just smoothly and perfect.

This Friday I have enough time to continue working on it like making the rest of the hands, the feet, arm's, legs and working some more on it's chest

I have finally found the right shade of Blue (turgoice sp?), but now I have to find a white colored T-shirt to rip apart to make the wing's and collar

Once that is all done I can finally do the hair and with luck making the 9 Wraith Reaver Blades...

Will keep ya all informed

Purple Ranger 14 - March 13, 2005 01:52 PM (GMT)
Good luck with that.

The_Crow - March 13, 2005 10:05 PM (GMT)
Well I have some good news and some bad news

The Good news is that I have found the perfect material for the wing's and collar

The Bad news is that the claws looked like crap

Well luckaly I have 1 alternative left

Well on to telling the rest of this shit

Today I worked a bit on the spine, while making it longer yesterday, I had made it smaller and more smoother then before and it is looking even better

The chest is also made smaller as the arm's are replaced with the legs from the first wave of the Light Up Ninja Storm rangers (Red Ranger Shane I have used, bought 2, the other is for my Kain custom I will make once I have Raziel finished)

I will post some pictures once I have made the claws

Oh yeah, I also have made the face a lot more smoother so it is really looking like his face (without his ears offcourse lol)

Well once that is out of the way, the feet and legs will be worked on, as well as making his ass more rounder and smoother

And man, I still am deciding on making the 9 wraith blades... Should I use clay or Hot Glue??? Oh well, at least I have enough metal to make the Soul Reaver Blade (Oh yeah B))

-M.

And now to compare the 2 shall we???

Old Back VS New Back

See the difference??? Personally the way it is now Is how I like it the most

Oh yeah, almost forgotten...

The reason WHY I started making a custom from scratch is because of this guys custom version of Raziel which looks good, but doesn't look like Raziel at all, still a few errors Click here for how the Raziel Custom from that guy looks like, complete with journal

Purple Ranger 14 - March 16, 2005 02:13 PM (GMT)
WICKED, DUDE!!!!!!!!

The_Crow - March 18, 2005 12:57 PM (GMT)
Well the Customising goes on (My way to be precise) and well to tell you all the truth... Their is only 1 guy who is the 1 who has to suffer the most, but who that is I will tell... LATER...

Onward to the story (lol, little joke/humor here)

Well today I worked again on Raziel and this time his legs where the lucky bastards of life... But to keep the long story short, his legs are now longer and offcourse some pictures with it as well

user posted image user posted image user posted image

Well now I will reveal who is the 1 dude who had to suffer a lot... Well it is non other then my "good" buddy Shane from Power Rangers Ninja Storm

user posted image

Yep you guys see it right, he has lost both his arm's AND his legs... His legs I have used to make the arm's for Raziel while the arm's are re-used as a pair of leg's for Raziel... How did I made them that way??? Simple, just sawing or cutting those body part's of and glue them onto some Lego Parts I previously have destroyed...

For the legs I had to saw and cut of the previous legs and had to vile them a bit and then I glued them on... MAN, the result was that the legs where shorter then before so of to sawing/cutting again and added a piece of Lego in between to make the legs a bit longer and then offcourse glueing them together and the result is very good in the end... Well so far the custom is about 50% finished

Purple Ranger 14 - March 20, 2005 04:54 AM (GMT)
He's a double amputee!!! Nice!!!

The_Crow - March 20, 2005 01:13 PM (GMT)
*19 March

MAN... I hate making custom's... The legs where way to long so off to cutting and shorting them... Well again I goofed, 1 leg is longer then the other

Well at least I have also managed to finish his claws... The old, first concept I have used but luckaly he can still hold thing's (Thank you hands of Shane)

Well today/tomorrow (Sunday) I might work further on it (the legs) and after that I will give it a nice paint job, only to finish it off with the arnament (sp?) and offcourse the wing's and hair

At least I managed to cut of a piece of a glow in the dark Slizer Disc from the Slizers line back in the 90's/2000

Pictures will come later

*20 March 2005

MAN... If I knew that making a f*cking custom (The 1 I am making) was that much and hard work, I would never, EVER, even started on making my own Raziel custom...

You wanna know what I am talking about???

Well for the I have no idea how many time screwed up the guys claws, thinking up new alternatives that I have grown tired of it...

I am going to give it 1 last try and if that fail's, I quit with the blasted custom... The same goes to the legs... They are still to long...

At least I have found a good picture of the wing's, but what good is it if I keep on screwing his f*cking claws and legs...

The_Crow - March 21, 2005 06:35 PM (GMT)
*21 March 2005

Took the rest of the day off (because their wasn't any work at all in the compagny I work) I started on reworking the horrible large claws of Raziel

user posted image

As you can see, the left claw is WAY to large and not up to scale at all, so I literally cut and destroyed the right claw and started cutting off the thumb and a part of the hand and glued it on a cut of Lego part, the result it actually looks better and with that I mean MUCH better (Still not finished though)

Well now I have to decide the actual finger claws of the guy before I can finish it...

Will keep ya'll updated as much as possible

Purple Ranger 14 - April 6, 2005 03:28 PM (GMT)
How's it going now, Michel???

The_Crow - April 6, 2005 05:00 PM (GMT)
Well I was hoping on getting it finished last Month, but since I have being working on it some more I am actually very happy for how it is looking now... So far the arms and claws are fully finished as well as his chest, I have made his waist a bit shorter so that his legs are on the same line with the ribs. The legs themself I am resculping them into much more smoother and show accurate, same goes to the hoofs/feet

I even might have thought up something for his wings as well as his blades... Just going to use some sticks and clay and a lot of paint

Speaking of paint... I am happy to say that I have found the right shade of blue... Grey Blue/Middle Blue mix

The_Crow - April 11, 2005 05:05 PM (GMT)
*27 March 2005

Working working working... And the Month is almost over...

Well after a lot of failed attemps I have finally made the claws as good as possible AND they are capable of holding items like torches and spears/staff's as seen in the pictures... It was nothing more then just sticking the weapon in the hand of Shane and adding the claw around it and molding/placing it as good as possible

user posted image user posted image

After that was done, I finally started working on the guys legs and feet. I just removed the old hoofs/feet and put clay on it, making it look like he is wearing a pair of shoes. Then his legs where the next victim's... I just putten Das Pronto clay onto it and now I am letting it dry so that I can sculpt them later today (or in the evening)

user posted image

Will keep you all updated

*11 April 2005

*sigh* After a lot of work, I finally have managed on smoothing the legs, making them game accurate (for about 75% that is)... And luckaly the figure can now stand thanks to his 1 toe/first half of hoof which is a simple piece of Lego Bionicle

Again no pictures for this, but instead I will make pictures before I am going to paint the little mother fucker...

*sigh* *sigh* *sigh*

Now I don't know how to make the 10 wraith blades (will made an extra Spectral Reaver that is glued onto the hand, just like in Soul Reaver and Soul Reaver 2)

Purple Ranger 14 - April 11, 2005 05:10 PM (GMT)
I know how hard it is to make figurines you build stay standing.

The_Crow - April 12, 2005 06:12 PM (GMT)
*12 April 2005

Not really a big update, but the hoofs are finally finished... Now all that is left is making the lower arms and the shoulders a bit bigger and then I can add on the needed clothes and color... After that the wings and hair will be done

Status on my mood for custom: :D :D :D out of 5

Purple Ranger 14 - April 13, 2005 01:32 PM (GMT)
Do any of them have like tentacles or something???

The_Crow - April 13, 2005 05:43 PM (GMT)
???

I do not fully understand what the hell you are talking about, but with the thickness of the lower arms and shoulders are because of this picture of the Raziel from the Defiance game

Just in case your PC screen freezes, click here

Purple Ranger 14 - April 14, 2005 06:17 PM (GMT)
I meant do any of the figures have tentacles like a squid for appendages???

The_Crow - April 14, 2005 07:29 PM (GMT)
Well non of my figures has tentacles, but the games Soul Reaver 1, Soul Reaver 2 and Defiance their is a 1 eyed thing with tentacles named The Elder God... Why do you ask?

Purple Ranger 14 - April 15, 2005 12:33 PM (GMT)
That'll do. Keep up the excellent work on your collection, Michel.

The_Crow - May 6, 2005 10:04 PM (GMT)
Show/Game/Fanfic: The Crow Stigmata
Custom: The Crow... Adam Craai 2 (version with the black lines, not red lines)
Start Date: 02 May 2005
Finished Date: ?? ??? 2005
Items: Action Man Camo Attack, Action Man Disc Master, Action Man Aqua Blaster/Aqua Mission, tape, paint, black liner/marker, an used shirt, (real) hair, Revell paint, 10 seconds Glue/Superglue

Well I have put my Raziel Custom from the Legacy of Kain Defiance game on a hold because during the time I was writing The Crow: Original Sin the idea struck me on making my very own The Crow custom and what kind of custom is better to make then the Crow from the fanfic that I have finished writing on 05 May 2005... But that is another story, let us look at the pictures shall we?

user posted image user posted image

user posted image user posted image

As you can see, I am using the Action Man Camo Attach as the basis of the figure because it has a full body movement (with the exception of the fingers and toes offcourse), but I am not really happy with his face and hair though... Oh well.

The first thing I did was take an old and used glove, cut of 3 'fingers' of the glove and simply slide the glove over the figures body, acting as his sweater/shirt with some holes which I first glued together, only to cut them away and used some tape to close some of the gasp's and color them black, making it looks like some sort of armor, but trust me, it doesn't serve as an armor while the shirt will get some holes in them, so that it will get the healed feeling just like with Eric, Ashe and Alex in the 3 The Crow movies

The pants and boots I have simply taken off from the Action Man Disc Master figure and I am going to use the figure 1 last time, removing his face (as well as the face from the other Action Man figure) to give it a rather normal looking face before the painting will start, as well as glueing the head on

That is all for now...

Purple Ranger 14 - May 7, 2005 02:35 PM (GMT)
Mega B) , dude.

*Stage 2:
user posted image

As you can see, I have removed the head from the 2 Action Man figures and I have replaced the Disc Master head onto the Camo Atak body... After that I've used a Click on Dora Dora doll for the hair and believe me, it is even harder to glue it then to cut it, but at least it is finished but it doesn't mean that I am actually happy with the result because I am not really happy with the result

*Stage 3:
user posted image

As you can see, Stage 3 (as well as Stage 4) are the finishing stages... Alright then, I've started with painting the face white and I DO mean White, the next part should be painting the lines, but I am letting it dry now so tomorrow I will continue with it

-To be continued...

Purple Ranger 14 - May 8, 2005 10:54 PM (GMT)
Good work, dude.

The_Crow - July 22, 2005 11:17 AM (GMT)
A very BIG update

First update being that the custom is a bit altered (meaning that this Crow is a custom creation from my The Crow novel I am currently writing entitled The Crow Stigmata, although I might change the name Stigmata into something else)

Second update is that the head is changed again AND he has gloves as well now, but NO MORE SHIRT!!!

user posted image

The upperbody, as you can see I have removed his old head with another head from the Action Man Disc Master toy. What else have changed... Well his body is wrapped with tape and glue to cover his non healing wounds (that is normal in the world of the Crow consider that whenever the person who gets resurrected by the crow helps somebody and after that gets wounded, the wounds will remain open)

His lower arms and hands from the Camo Attack figure has being replaced by the lower arms and hands from the Aqua Mission figure, used some super glue or 10 seconds glue and after that taped it, giving it the feeling like in the first The Crow comic book (and the reason why I've putten tape around it is to hide the sawed scar as well as hiding the cuts on his wrists consider the Stigmata decease)

user posted image

The legs are still the same with the difference being the pants that are shred apart, but are being held in place thanks to some glue and a lot of tape. For the shredding of the pants I've just cut some parts here and their while still keeping the pants as much as possible intact (don't worry, the legs are still fully moveable with all that tape around) so it is finally getting better ((The reason why he has tape around his pants are 1: to give it a sort of a leather pants kind of look and 2: In the book I am still writing, after his failed suicide his pants are shred and losely apart, and for that fact that his place of living gets blown up and all he can save is some ducktape, he uses it to wrap it around his shredded pants in order to keep it together))

Purple Ranger 14 - July 27, 2005 05:02 PM (GMT)
Keep up the good work, dude.

The_Crow - July 28, 2005 07:02 PM (GMT)
with the body mostly finished, the time came to make the trenchcoat, because we all know that a brought back guy or gal needs to have a long coat (well 7 out of 10 that is) and with this guy is no big difference

user posted image user posted image

Well the first original version looked like pure utterly CRAP!!!

So off to make a new 1 and the outcome was the same... PURE UTTERLY CRAP

Well after surving around the web a bit, I found a nice looking suit from which you can buy a Raven styled Surcoat and I started thinking, consider that The Crow mythology is suposed to be ancient, why not give my custom an ancient coat which for some strange reason looks, flows and breaths modern so you gues it right alright

user posted image user posted image

This is what I like to call Stage 1 of the finished product

for how the Raven surcoat really looks like, then click here NOW!!!

Purple Ranger 14 - July 28, 2005 07:44 PM (GMT)
Cool.

The_Crow - August 9, 2005 10:28 PM (GMT)
Stage 1... Finished
Stage 2... Finished
Stage 3... undone
Stage 4... Final product undone

Don't know what I am talking about?

user posted image and user posted image

Stage 2 of the Raven surcoat is finished... Next stop is adding some tape so that I can paint it black ((Stage 3 and Stage 4))

once that is out of the way, the painting on the guy himself will come and finally adding the hair... After that it will be a little hard work in order to make a crow for the guy (can't have a The Crow without a crow right?)

Purple Ranger 14 - August 9, 2005 11:28 PM (GMT)
True dat about the bird. Keep up the good work, Michel.

The_Crow - August 10, 2005 01:51 AM (GMT)
Thanks B.

Well I can at least spoil you all on how the face is going to look like (The Crow Avatar of the custom I mean)

just look at my avatar and my banner to the guy with the blood on his face
