In case anyone's wondering, my brother got me hooked on this particular anime, which is like a cross between Power Rangers, Scooby-Doo, and Dragon Ball Z.

Yusuke's the main character of this series, and along with his part-time rival, Kuwabara, the half-demon Kurama, and reforming demon Hiei, they solve some pretty strange cases.

Currently, I'm viewing the Dark Tournament saga, which has the guys competing in a WWE-like tournament in order to take out the Toguro brothers. So far, it's having its moments.

You're thinking about Jin, the wiseguy demon with the ability to use wind attacks like Tornado Fist. Even though he started out as one of the bad guys, I kinda thought he was a heck of a fighter. Well, that, and I kinda liked his accent. :ph43r:

The closest I can come to on that is Touya, who manipulates ice into weapons and such. :ph43r:

Earth???

There is a villian on there who does manipulate earth into some kind of armor, but for the life of me, I can't think of his name right now. I'll look it up and get back to you on it. :ph43r:

If there's one character on the series that baffles me, it's Hiei. I mean, here's a guy who doesn't want any of his family members trying to find him, yet his half-sister, Yukina, is doing just that. Further complicating things is that some of the gang want to help her, but at the same time, don't want to tick him off. Wonder what he'd do if someone actually squealed on him to her? :ph43r:

Let's not forget that Hiei hides his emotions but has shown great respect for Yusuke.

That's true. I mean, at least he was the only one who didn't pick on Yusuke about Puu. (Puu reminds me of Furby--just there for comic relief.)

Speaking of comic relief, Chu and Rinku kinda remind me of Abbott and Costello, in their own warped way. Those two end up "cracking me up" every time they battle someone, whether it's Yusuke and the gang or some demons who don't know their heads from holes in the ground. :ph43r:

isn't strange about hiei. his father is a fire demon, mom is an ice demon. sister is full ice. and he is sorta be full fire demon strange no.

mom and dad made a lot of water that night---get it fire..ice ..water. haha

I got the joke. B) To quote a certain comedian, "That's funny, I don't care who you are, that's funny right there."

I do have to admit, though, that my favorite comedic duo in the series is Koenma and Ogre. Those two remind me of Laurel and Hardy in the way they go at it.

Y'all might want to check out the June issue of Shonen Jump. It has a new story that's NOT seen in the anime about how Kurama and Hiei first meet. :ph43r:

Kind of like "Jack-Jack Attack" was about what went on with Jack-Jack while his family was saving the world in the "Incredibles" movie.

I like Kurama. For a cartoon guy he is surely Hot & Sexy. :rolleyes: :P

Another thing, too: All of the music as well as the CD inserts are in the original Japanese. The three Music Battle CDs are the ones I recommend to all Yu Yu Hakusho fans, mainly because there's also some of the dialogue from the Dark Tournament and Chapter Black sagas before each tune. (Talk about trying to figure out who's talking there.) :ph43r:

I've officially finished the Chapter Black saga, and am currently looking for the final saga in the series, Three Kings. All I can say so far is that things are getting more and more interesting here. :ph43r:

I agree! I suggest to most folks try watching it in Japanese with the English subtitles. The English people speaking are a lot different from what the Japanese translation actually is. :huh:
