For the past 3 years, i have competed at the Houghton Feast solos, held hte weekend after the pipe band contest.

This has been a great event, well organised and well attended. There is a novice contest, an open 2/4 march, open medley and an invitational MSR.

The only major problem is that its 3hrs away. not many people are prepared ot travel that far alone.

This year i will again be heading back, but i was wondering if anyone else would be interested in coming, if so we might be able to arrange for use of one of the Fire services mini busess to run from manchester, and every puts in say £5 for fuel costs. Would this be of interest to anyone?
