Title: 2 Ghost Pics from Elk River
Description: these were taken with a poloroid in 1999

The first two attachements are the same pic: It was taken in "The Pit" ... which is the old Handke school's (was a lake in 1870, made into a playing field in the early 1900s) stadium. It is very deep with stone walls, stairs, and stone warming house. It is very cool. They are in the process of restoring it now. Anyhow, The Pit is right behind our house and haunted. My dad took this pic of the old stone stairs with an instamatic poloroid camera.

You can see the stairs in the background, and they are in focus.

The second two attachements are also the same pic: Here is the second poloriod. This one was taken down by the river. This is actually coming out of a window of the old folks home down there.

To me, it looks happy!

Both pics were taken with a poloriod instamatic camera in the summer of 1999 at night.
No lights around, no. At night, in the pit. There are a couple street lights down there, but none by that set of stairs. They'd be well behind my dad when he took the pic.
And the second one, of the old folks home window, there were no lights on either. Old people go to bed early.

Hello again. :)

I asked my mother to type up the background/story behind the pictures for me, and here is what she sent:

I came home one night after seeing a barbecue grill draped with a cloth that looked kinda like a ghost and suggested to my husband Pat, and a mutual freind that we could try to fake a ghost picture. Pat mischievously said " Wanna take some REAL GHOST pictures?" Now Pat is something special and I could tell many paranormal activities/stories about him. So off we trouped to the "Old People" apartments where this grill was located. We took some pictures that did not look ghostly of the grille. Than Pat suddenly started sneaking up closer and closer to a window in the building. Snapped the "smiley face ghost" picture with an instamatic and handed it to me to watch it develope. Imagine my suprise. You can see the window behind the ghost but it is fading over the years. The ghost appears to be coming out of the window.

Then we went to "The Pit" This used to be an artisian spring fed pond. It was capped over and hollowed out and made it into a football field. Edged in stone walls, stone bleachers, a stone warming house and stone stairs , crafted by the WPA during the depression in the 30's. Pat took his 1st picture at the top of the stairs which developed with a small spot of light. Then we went to the bottom looking up and thats where all the activity in the other picture took place. You can see the stairs in focus in the background.

We have had interesting paranormal activity in the pit before. Pat has seen bouncing lights and weird blue ghosts in the pit. I saw a large human size white glowing rectangle at the top of the stairs one night. It started down the stairs and I ran for home, like a frightened rabbit.

Awesome. Thanks for the story Jessica. :) Keep the pictures coming if you can.

If we take anymore, I'll be sure to post them.

Those were taken several years ago and we have long since not had an instant camera. I am seriously thinking of buying another and checking out "The Pit" again.
