I was listening to MPR last week and heard part of this lecture by Michio Kaku, a physicist. It was so interesting and very easy to follow even for thickskulls like me
He was talking about us not living in a "uni"verse, but a "multi"verse. That physicists now beleive there are are least 11 different dimensions, compared to the three that we are able to perceive. Also, about that matter not only can, but does exist in the same place at the same time. He was also speaking about other fascinating things like dark energy/matter, and the theory that there is an entire galaxy of dark matter out there but no one has been able to find it yet (cute joke).
Anyway, I was telling my husband about this and we were speculating that the different dimensions could be different states of being. Maybe heaven, hell, purgatory, etc etc. exist right here and now, but we (most) can't perceive them. Maybe some people are able to perceive them whether through sight, sound, or spiritually.
Also, that got me thinking about Celtic mythology and the fairie world, etc. I'm not an expert--maybe one of you know more about the subject--but, weren't the fairies existing in our world, but gradually drew away? Now they may pass between worlds, but humans have lost the ability? Doesn't this go along with these theories?
Isn't funny how these top physicists are basically looking for the same things ghost hunters are, but with formulas and theories whereas GH's are searching for physical proof? Too bad more people don't give GH's respect, who knows what might be found if physicists and paranormal investigators teamed together.
Anyway, here's the link to the program
