Title: Maybe a ghost
Description: i may have a ghost

JMM - March 3, 2006 10:44 PM (GMT)
The other night at around 4AM, i woke up and looked up and there was a white figure standing next to my bed staring at me. I sort of jumped back in my bed rubbing my eyes and the image was gone. That night, I spoke aloud instructing the "ghost" to let me know if they were present and to not freak me out anymore. This morning, I woke up to a loud noise. I have a jack russel who frequently sleeps with me in the bed. I jumped upright and looked at my closed door. My dog started growling at the door and then barked. He never does this. I opened my door and looked out. In the hallway outside my bedroom, there are several framed family photos on the walls. The noise I heard was of a frame dropping. It was exactly 9AM. Anyway, I checked the picture, it was one of me from 4th grade. Then I checked the nail to see if it was pushed all the way in... it was not at all. I put the frame back up and tried to push it down...nothing. It was pretty firmly in place. Im new to this stuff, does anyone think it may be paranormal? Also, it may sound strange, but lately the bottom floor, where i sleep, has been very cold. I mean its usually chilly, which I like, but lately I have been wearing sweatshirts and socks, which I never do. I also get an eerie feeling that Im not alone, even when I am sure that I am. Any input would help, Im pretty freaked out about the whole thing. Thanks.

It sounds like you might have an intelligent haunting. We have an article on the website that might interest you a bit. You can check it out at:

I dont know what really else to say about the occurances that you have discussed with us besides that the cold spots, eerie feeling of being watched, and so forth exhibit common haunting features.

Could it be a ghost? It certainly can. Could it be that you have your mindset on it being a ghost? It could be.

I am kinda on the fence about this story but please keep us informed on anything else that experience.

Thanks, that article didnt scare me at all. I dont believe in this stuff. I mean, I didn't. Now I don't know what to believe. It seems that whatever I am feeling happens late at night around 3-4am. I have been having trouble sleeping since I saw whatever it is I saw. Last night I woke up at 4:24am and noticed my room was freezing. It scared the heck out of me so I turned on the tv and watched Sportscenter until it was light out. I dont want to believe it was a "cold spot" or whatever. So if I am going to try to identify whatever is going on, how do I go about finding out what happened on the land where we built our house? It was built in 1992. That is another thing that puzzles me....if this really is anything, why now? How come nothing strange has ever happened before? Im not convinced yet it is anything more than my imagination, but I will keep posting when oddeties do occur. I appreciate the advice, i have been almost too freaked out to sleep since it occurred.

For checking the land, consult your local newspaper or the county's historical society. They might be able to help you. Past owners might also be a help but seeing as the house was built in 92, you could be the only owner.

The reason to why this is happening now could be a few things. Using occult items like a Oujia board or a recent loss of a loved one could be the cause of these occurrances. It might also just be something psychological that could be affecting you such as stress or a problem that is buried in your psyche.
