Title: Past Life or stored memories?

luckylucci - February 26, 2006 10:13 PM (GMT)
I've been learning about Holistic theories concerning health & the body. One theory is that memories are not only stored in the brain, but in every cell of the body. When the cell replicates parts of those memories are passed on to the new cell.
So I was thinking, could some past-life memories actually be stored memories from our ancestors? Just tiny shreds of events or feelings that happenend to them? I'm thinking mostly of "familiar feeling" type of regression. An example is when I'm in the part of the country that my ancestors settled, sometimes I feel "at home" or peaceful. Also had many similar feelings when in Bavaria, where one branch of my family tree came from.
What do you guys think?

I heard about that before, it's an interesting thery and could have some basis. But it dosn't explain everything. I went to a class on past life regression (I had always felt I havd lived many times before hence my nic name) well one of my lives that I had "seen" was when I was a civil war solder. none on my family was here in the states at that time. I'll never forget the vivid color of the yankee uniforms. The only uniforms I have ever see was on tv and it didn't look the same. It wasn't until years later did I get a chance to see a simlor uniform. the rich navy blue with gold markings. It was an interesting experment. but if I really was reincarnated I will never know for sure.

I'll have to agree with you about that not being a stored memory! I just find the whole topic facsinating.

I find stored memories and past life regression very interesting topic. I have been to a group regression and seen myself fall to my death off a cliff while riding a horse, I too had a uniform that was unfamiliar to me. I am afraid of horses today. They are such beautiful animals. LL how amazing it must of been to be in Bavaria, my family tree goes back to a village in Bavaria. I would love to go someday.

I've never tried any type of regression, I bet it it would be interesting!
Bavaria is very beautiful, I fell in love with all of Germany. The one clear "memory" I had was when I was in the Army and training in Southern Germany. We were driving up a steep hill and in my mind I suddenly saw a huge building sitting on top of another hill. I thought it was a castle, and I knew we were coming up close to this important place. Sure enough, we went around a bend and there was these magnificent ruins on top of a different hill. It was so strange because I "saw" it from almost the same angle and distance, but not in ruins. I found out later that it was actually Roman ruins. The training area encompassed several small villiages that the Nazis forceably evacuated and turned into a training area. I've tried finding info on the internet about the ruins, but no luck. Maybe someday!
My family also comes from Luxembourg and Ireland, I'd love to visit these countries too.

I have to ask you mnspirit, after you "saw yourself fall from the horse" do you remember anything after that? My regresson went beyond the death, I first remember crouching by a zig zag fence that was near a high hill looking around at the people who were with me, we were waiting for the enemy to come, then next thing I recall sort of floating looking down at 2 kids, a boy and girl, who were walking either to or from school near a pond, then I felt I shook my head ok, it was as though I needed to make sure the kids were ok, and next thing I knew I was heading to the sun, but the sun had like beams of light both going into it and comming out of it. At the time I didn't understand all that it meant.

The experience had left such a strong memory with me. I will never forget the experience. To this day I cannot stand war movies.

No, I just remeber that the place I fell was not accessible for anyone to get me and I was left there. I was in a group regression and I believe the time was up at that time. I would like to do one one on one sometime. You sure had quite the experience, I would be interested in that. Thanks for sharing :) May I ask, do remember what you looked like?

Old Soul - March 9, 2006 04:52 AM (GMT)
No I am afraid I don't know how I looked, I saw things as though I was there. Unless you look in the mirror you don't know what you look like. The uniform I know becouse I looked down at myself and saw it.
