I am going to have some free time in St Paul soon. Any ideas to visit in the downtown area or near the Cathedral area???

We are going to have lunch at Forepaugh's (dinner too spendy) but last time we were there no activity.

Ramsey Mansion????

I hear the Capitol and Court house, but so much human activity going on during business hours. May I ask, how is the food at Forepaughs? Try taking a walk along the river the vibe down there is quite spectacular.

The Ramsey house is apparently not haunted at all. I've talked to open minded people who work there who say sadly - it isn't. Even though it looks like it should with it's gothic structure. Bummer!

It's worth a zip past 476 Summit Ave if you're in the area. It's a private residence so you can only admire the outside but it's one of the most haunted houses in minnesota! Creepy looking to boot.

Make sure you stop for dessert at Cafe Latte on Grand ave! The best!

PS. I think the food is very good at Forepaughs...but the interior design and staff are fabulous. We like to go for lunch because it is not crowded and more affordable.

Forepaughs has ambiance that you just can't beat can ya? My husband and I almost had our wedding reception there but it came down to where would be easier for my out of town guests to find and park. So we ended up at Kozlaks instead. But I love it! Have a wonderful time!!
