Title: Mayer still ghostly...
Deanne Marie - February 8, 2006 04:29 AM (GMT)
Well the ghosts havent left me yet! The bewitching hour is still 3am. If I am working on my computer at that time...I will get booted off and frozen up so I cant log on again for about 15 minutes then I can go back and power up. If I am not on the computer it will boot up all by itself and go off again as fast. I have checked for settings on the computer to see if I have anything with the ability to do that and I do not. If I am watching tv, my DISH satelite will flash a screen saying I have lost signal temporarily. When things happen around the house now it is always followed by my daughters bedroom door slamming shut immediately. That is the only room it stays in all the time. My weiner dog wont enter it ever. If you carry her in it her hair stands in a mohawk and she growls and runs out and down the stairs as fast as she can! I have told them to go to the light and go home to be with their families and loved ones and they still hang on here. The only time it ever scares me is at 3am when I am up alone. Im afraid to look into mirrors and reflections in tvs and windows for fear I might see someone behind me! Can anyone help me out here! I am just about ready to abandon ship here. It is affecting my 16year old daughter something fierce but hasnt touched my son what-so-ever! I dont know who she is anymore! She wont come out of her room hardly ever and she is so very angry all the time now! She was never this way til we moved here October 30th. Someone please help me with suggestions!

Wow, that would really freak me out too! I remember on he Exorcism of Emily Rose (So maybe this isn't a true thing, but maybe it is) the priest said 3AM was the demon's strongest hour, like you sad the bewitching hour.
Have you thought about having your home blessed? If that didn't work I'd pack up the family and leave, but then again I'm sure thats easier said than done.

i havent see emily rose yet......how do you go about getting a blessing without them thinking you are out of your mind!!??????

I don't know what religion you are, but its pretty common for Catholics to have their homes blessed, some even do it yearly. Mostly its when moving into a new place.
I've never had mine blessed because of fear that its haunted or possessed, but I assume you could explain you think there may be something negative or even evil, and you'd like to have a blessing.
If the priest/preacher thinks you're out of your mind, find another. Even among Catholics there's a lot of disagreement over possession etc. Some don't beleive in it, others firmly do. It went out of style so to speak for a couple of decades, but now I think more people are becoming open to the possibility if not completely beleiving.
I'm pretty sure most Protestant faiths have similar rituals, if thats more towards your belief.

I wish you all the best over this one Deanne! I believe that Old Soul may also have some good ideas for you on this one. I believe she told me during an investigation she's had experiences with home cleansing rituals. I'd drop her an email!

Thanks for all the help everyone! I called my church and scheduled the priest to come out next weekend! I didnt know that was all there was to it. I just asked for a house blessing....he is almost totally blind but does his full duties at our church....I just have to go get him and make him a dinner and bring him home again when done is all I was told. No questions asked. Do I dare tell someone prior to me picking him up that we are experiencing paranormal activity????? Part of me wants to see if he experiences it himself! If he says something or even feels something! Is that bad of me?????????

I think that disclosing all info is up to you but I'd certainly tell him there's been uneasiness and bad vibes at the very least. I hardly think that he wouldn't go ahead with the blessing even if he thought you were a nut! But I doubt he would think that. You have a problem and you are reaching out to God for help. This is a good thing in the church's eyes even if they don't quite understand what you're going through. I personally would explain the situation to him to help him better understand your needs, and it will help him to ease your burden.
I will keep you and your family in my prayers Deanne. Please let us know how things go.
