My husband and I went up to my friend's house to hang out with her and her husband Saturday night to watch movies...... And I've had kind of a feeling about one of the bedrooms - which is on the main level right next to the kitchen and bathroom. Everytime I use the 'facilities' I quickly scurried out into the living room as that room made me uneasy....... I didn't know why nor did I put much thought into it..... until Saturday night.
After admiring my friend's new kitchen floor out of the corner of my eye I saw movement in that room...... Well she has cats so I didn't think anything of it. Except the next time I was up to refresh my drink - I all of the sudden felt overwhelmed by this sort of anxiety laced with fear - and my heart started POUNDING....I looked up at the room and saw movement straight on..... I was looking right at it (whatever 'it' was)....... and I looked over in the living room to see the 2 cats sitting on the couch and floor in the living room staring right where I had seen something. Clearly not the cats. I didn't want to say anything as I thought I might scare someone so I just sat back down...
Later on - we started talking about my friend and my interest in the paranormal. Her husband mentioned experiences they've had in the house..... #1 - They were hearing laughter in the basement (which is unfinished so they don't use it except to excercise and do laundry) which sounded like kids. He said he went to the basement door - still heard it - and so he went down and it stopped when he was midway down the stairs. #2 - regards that room. He said one night he was sitting on the couch and looked up to see a pair of eyes in that room - and he looked to see the cats - once again looking at that room so he knew it wasn't them. That was enough for him and he took his tv viewing upstairs. Also on another occasion he had a friend spending the night on the living room couch....... and they had shut the door so the cats wouldn't get in to that room....... Apparently late at night he heard movement and and shuffling inside of the room and though - oh - well maybe one of my friend's brothers was staying in town - not an unusual occurance. So he asked about it in the morning and of course - nobody was staying in the room. Beyond these there are little things here and there. People generally just don't particularly like the room. Of course - add in what I saw and there you go.
I am trying to convince them to let people in to investigate the house. They do believe in these things but are afraid of stirring things up and causing themselves problems. I am trying to convince them that there is probably nothing to worry about - and if anything - An investigation handled properly - with respect in regards to the spirit should be fine. No dice - they're sitll a bit worried about it. Now I'm not pushing my friend at all here..... so don't worry about that. They said they'd be happy to have an investigation right before they move out (as the plan is to sell in a couple of years) but they're too anxious about doing it before then as they don't know what can happen. I thought if I maybe presented them with some good information it will put their minds at ease - because I know they want to know! They're just a bit timid.
If any of you have any thoughts on how to reassure them - it could result in a good opportunity - for a couple of people! God knows I'm not going in there alone! Let me know if you guys have ideas! Thanks!
Cool story! I don't have any advice for you, but this definitely sounds like a great place for an investigation.
