It was the first time I went to Park Rapids to stay at a cabin with a friend. We slept in the same room and on the same bed because the cabin was creepy for me with it's 12 bedrooms and just the two of us and his German Shepherd was there. The dog slept in the room with us on a small bunk bed adjacent to the door that we left open for a little light and our bed was up against the far wall facing the door.

I was adjusting myself around maybe 10am and looked towards the door and at the end of the bed was a dog sitting there. I thought it was Sable, so I reached out and said, "Sable, c'mon, come here," as I reached out to the dog. My friend asked me what I was doing and I looked over to him and said, it's Sable. Turned back the dog was gone. And he said that he could see Sable sleeping on the bed still. So was this my imagination? Or are there spirit animals roaming around in Park Rapids? My friend believes in what I saw because I was not asleep when it happend.

Thats interesting Spira! I have yet to see ghost animals but I sure don't doubt its possible! My weiner dog is now extreamly actively speaking and listening to someone or something in my fireplace! She stands there, un afraid, and turns her head as if she is listening to someone then barks a small 1/2 sized bark a few times then runs off. Would that possibly indicate a portal perhaps?

A fireplace huh? I've no knowledge of fireplaces being a portal but it's an idea. Dogs have that sixth sense and I hate it when I know that they see something that I don't. There's also another story on here and a man said that his dog sees another dog and he's seen the ghost dog himself. In general, I think ghost animals are scary.

I think the opposite. I love animals and ghost dogs don't freak me out. In fact I'm pretty sure that my old dog is at times in my mom's house. I hear him now and then and there's no mistaking it. I've heard it enough too that I know I'm not hearing things. It's a little low 'ruff' that he used to do when he walked into a room to announce his presence (he was wierd like that - so adorable though!) and I just kind of feel him around, and it doesn't go away until I say 'hi baby.....' and then it's gone soon after. You never know! My mom doesn't believe in all of this stuff and she'll only admit to me that sometimes she feels him around too. I think he just wants to be aknowledged. Hopefully he misses us as much as we miss him.
