As the cold winter approached, I wondered if it was a good idea to get out at night and try to take some photos of spirits in the cemeteries around me. I have to admit I am not a winter person, don’t like the cold and here in Minnesota single digits is the norm in the winter. This is only my second winter here I guess my blood must be insolating because if it gets in the 20’s it’s a heat wave….. But I wondered if I would get any results in the winter. I chatted with a few friends that went on hunting trips in the winter and they had said that they get the same results in winter as in summer. I thought I would give it a try on a good winter night.
And tonight was it.
It’s a cloudy night, not too cold, 30deg. Not snowing, a light breeze of 3 miles per hour, no gusts detected.
As I drove up the hill to the German graveyard, I noticed how bright it was with the snow on the ground even for a moonless night, I didn’t plan on staying long; I just wanted to take some test shots to see what if anything would show up. As I walked along the road, I was careful with my photos not to pick up any streetlights, after several photos I hurried to my car I had noticed that I did pick up some orbs, I thought this isn’t to bad, no one can claim that these are bugs, or dust, it might be snow, but seeing that it wasn’t snowing nor windy what I pick up would be the real thing.
As I looked at my photos I noticed that many of the orbs were brighter in the winter then in the warmer temps. But they also are distorted. Oh don’t get me wrong, many of them are round, some are clear, some are solid but some I would have taken for a bug if it were warmer out.
I am going to look into taking more photos in the winter and see what else I can come up with.
I would like to show you my photos if possible, dose any one know how to put photos on here? It won't paste for me.

Interesting. I am very interested in seeing your pictures.
To upload your photos, simply goto www.imageshack.us and upload. It's free.We are planning to goto an abandon World War II factory down in Rosemount sometime this winter. They say the paranormal is more active during the winter. I'm not quite sure why.

After doing a little bit of research about winter activity, I stumbled upon an interesting site.
"The winter solstice marks the shortest day and the longest night of the year. On December 21-22, winter begins in the Northern Hemisphere and summer begins in the Southern Hemisphere. Cosmically, these times of the year are extremely important, so in terms of paranormal research they may be important as well.
It's believed by many that the whole winter season itself is a very active time of the year for paranormal activity also. The cold, dry air creates an ambience of static electricity. You can feel this when you rub your socks on a carpet then touch a doorknob and get shocked. It's thought that when these static electrical conditions are present, the more ghost encounters take place because of that energy in the atmosphere. So grab your equipment and head to a haunted location! It may prove very productive in the winter, and/or when solar activity is high."
Here is the
SourceSo I suppose it certainly is worth the effort. :)

INCREDIBLE PHOTOS! Who took these? Did you see the orbs in the 15 pic? Where in Rosemount is this located? My other half works in Rosemount very often and I meet him for lunch sometimes even though its an hour and a half away. I would love to go to this place!!! Thanks so much for sharing!
