Title: Swede Hollow
Description: Saint Paul

This is a great place for investigating. It is in Saint Paul across the street from Yarusso's Italian restaurant. The way to get in is a small parking lot off of 7th street or a side road in a residental area. It was a small community for the Italian and Swedish immigrants that came to Minnesota. If you go into Yarussos they have photos hanging of the old community, not to mention awesome spaghetti. I have taken photos but no EVPs yet. Please let me know if anyone investigates and comes up with something to talk about. Thanks....

Swede Hollow is pretty much torn down. Are you finding old buildings etc?

No old buildings, there are some foundations left in the hillside and in the middle piece that is hard to get to. We have found old jewelery many years back. Even though the houses are gone I am guessing the walking paths are just as interesting. Have you ever looked at how old the trees in there are?

It is now a public park but it used to be a neighborhood. Italian and Swedish immigrants lived here with no running water. You can look up info at the history center.

Yes in fact I have seen the trees there - I'm an Arborist who works in the area. Lol
The old pics of swede hollow from the historical society are pretty sweet. I'll have to go look at the area again with new focus.
