Hi all, I just discovered this site today while searching the Web. I have always been interested in the paranormal. I live in a huge house that was built in 1896 and at one time was a hospital or clinic, so there was a lot of activity. I have not experienced anything myself, but my cat is very perceptive and seems to communicate with something coming from the ceilings. He will suddenly bolt and take off running throughout the house, then come back and stare at the ceiling some more.

Another occurrence happened when a friend was staying with us. We have an original fire alarm that came with the house, with fire bells in every room, all leading to the main alarm in the basement. One night when we were out, the friend was home alone and the alarm went off, even though there was no fire. He told us about it when we returned and I checked the alarm to find it wasn't even connected!

Anyway, I'm glad to have found this site and will be back often. I love reading about your experiences and look forward to more. Oh, by the way, I live in the Halloween Capitol of the World, so I think it was meant to be!

[FONT=Optima][COLOR=purple][I]I have had some strange occurrences in my home as well, and my cat seems to be particularly spooked by the staircase which is funny because multiple people have thought they've seen a figure of a man walking past the stairs out of the corner of their eye, but when they lookd at it, it wasn't there. Also, my friends 2 year old son is particularly spooked by the steps and will look at the steps and say things like "Don't". Have you had any children around the areas the cat is spooked by?
  • Cats and spooks -- children too?

I have a weiner dog that wont enter my daughters room whats so ever and its her dog! For 6 years she has slept with her in her room but since we moved to this house on oct 30th this year...she wont sleep with her. She wont go down stairs either and thats where we hear the most noises at night when we are all in bed. She goes every where else but not in those 2 spots. I wondered if pets were bothered by this paranormal activity. I have heard lots about how children are but not much on pets. Ü
