For anyone who has doubts about dowsing rods, this is from an investigation that we did tonight! :D

Investigation Log:

Straight to the Video:

I am the one recording this and this was in an empty reception hall. No electrical currents as our baseline readings were below 0.5 milligauss and the old water explanation doesnt really answer questions!

If you havent used dowsing rods before in an investigation, I highly suggest you try them at least once!

Would be interesting to try. I have never even given it much thought i am a welder by trrade and we have rods the perfect thickness for making a set. But would be hard to count them as solid evidence on thier own. Great video and EVP"S would like to hear the original versions ,sounds like it was a sucessfull investigation !

they help to find stuff that the EMF misses. And they also allow us to get some answers from them. We use them pretty much like an EMF but also for communication.

You can make your own pair out of iron coat hangers if you cut them straight and then bend them.

Are you sure that the ghosts are all male? The last EVP sounded female....

we don't know for sure what the last one was. it does sound female but we will be going back there soon hopefully to figure it out.

Someone on ebay also sells them for like $10. She puts white tips on them so it's easier to see them at night if they're crossing. I'm getting a pair for my friend Deann for xmas as she's always wanted to use them while we're checking places out.

Adam- can you keep us updated on what happens? You got some really good results. Have you tried a pendulam (sp?) ? I've had some good results using them indoors.

havent tried those yet. but i will keep you all updated.

In the video I noted that the dowser holds the the rods differently between her right hand and her left hand. in her right hand (the rod that moves )her thumb is over her index finger and on the rod. The Rod in her left hand is held in her fist with the thumb over the fingers and not touching the rod. As the video progresses her thumb on her right hand rolls across the rod which is what is causing the rod to spin. Take a good look again folks. No supernatural force there. Now before the flaming begins let me say this; I live in a house where I've had a few experiences that I can't explain. I'm not a skeptic. I do believe in an afterlife and spirit energy. But in this case I think the rods are misleading. Just watch the hands closely and forget about the rods for a minute.

I heard about this on the TAPS board too and while I can see what you mean by her thumb rolling it. I was standing there watching Monica (since I was filming it) and the knowledge of holding the dowsing rods myself and feeling the movement of them, you can see that the rod doesnt stop at the bar. It flies past it and then equals out.

Should she have been holding on to the rod and then spun it with her thumb, this would have made a direct stop at the bar as most people would do it. Test it out with a few random people and ask them to spin the rod to a specific object and see how many overshoot it and then immediately equal it out.

Watch how the rod moves towards the end of the video when she readjusts her hands. Also take a look at her other hand and notice that they are placed the same way but you just get a different angle of the two hands.

I do take your point into consideration though. :)

I looked at the other hand and the thumb position is different. It's not just a different angle. As far as taking a bunch of people and have them move the rods to see if they overshoot the mark.. A Bar is not a small point. If it's even close to pointing to it the mind will fill in the blanks and make it close enough to count. Plus your dowser may have more practice than Joe Average off the street at manipulating the rods.. What I'm saying is that in order for this video to have been convincing (to me) She needs to not be touching the rods with her finger/thumb tips and THEN if the rods move in her hands. The possibility of HER having moved the rods are eliminated. I'd love nothing better than to see absolute proof and somedday there will be but I think this video has more than enough room for a healthy dose of skeptisim. ;)
