That was during the first animexplosion (which is why I went in a Saitou costume for that con... well, I would have went in that costume regardless).

Kaya marami akong alam sa Hongkong is, besides the fact that I used to go there pretty often, I always, ALWAYS went abroad on Cathay Pacific ... napanood ko na at napakinggan ko na yung mga inflight stations nila nang paulit-ulit kasi hindi ako makatulog sa mga 13-hour trips. XD

He was in the Onimusha game though? Coolness...

I maybe off on the Taiwanese part since I read various articles and they all get mixed up on my head at times.

I don't proclaim to be fluent in Chinese, but as far as I know there is only one Mandarin language, only spoken in different accents, much like English. Taiwanese, on the other hand, is a dialect, and is much like Hokkien or Fukian. Cantonese is another dialect but sounds very different from Mandarin or Taiwanese, but I think Takeshi-san also knows how to speak Cantonese as most of the movie-making action is in Hong Kong.

But since Takeshi-san has a Japanese dad and a Taiwanese mom, I think it's safe to assume that either: he is fluent or at least has a conversational grasp on the following languages: Mandarin, Taiwanese, Nihonggo, Cantonese and English. (he did make a movie with Mira Sorvino :P )
