Title: Taiho Shichauzo Live Action
Description: japanese dorama based on YUA!
minamic - May 26, 2003 03:32 AM (GMT)
Has anyone watched this? I find it fun, even though I've only downloaded two episodes so far. (But you need bittorrent. Does anyone want a link? I can post. ^_^)
Anyhoo... the series is based on the YUA! anime, but isn't a total adaptation like the Meteor Garden series was to Hana Yori Dango. At the first episode you already see Miyuki and Natsumi as partners working for Bokutou Station's traffic division. All the basic characters are there --- of course, Nakajima, then there's Yoriko and even Saori (they introduce her as a newbie) --- except for nummy bishy Tokairin :wub: and I haven't seen Aoi either. Also, their Kancho is not male but female.
comment one: I find that Miyuki is more outspoken than Natsumi. Sure, they retained Natsumi's feistiness, but Miyuki gets all the dialogue. Isn't Natsumi supposed to be the more outspoken one?
comment two: There's a BISH! I don't know his real name yet but his character there is Detective Okabayashi. I think he's the one they'll be pairing off with Natsumi in place of Tokairin. He kinda sorta kinda... looks like Rustom Padilla. ^^;;;;;;
Trust me to get all excited when there's a bish involved. ^_^
Anyway, I hope ABS-CBN gets Japanese dramas like this [YUA!], too, since they already started with MG and all.
[edit: meaning I'm hoping they also get other Asian dramas]

Um, onee-chan...
MG is CHINESE. Taiwanese, to be exact. They might go the way of the live-action Taiwanese dramas, hopefully they'll add Marmalade Boy to the mix!!! XD I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE Marmalade Boy... :wub:
If ever they DO bring in Japanese doramas, I TRULY hope they bring in my long-time favorite Love 2000... I got to see it in Hongkong (with Cantonese and English subtitles - yes, they retained the original dub!!! :lol:), BUUUUUUUUUUT it just had to be the VERY LAST episode... --;
How very, very sad... ;_;

If they're going to show the YUA! live-action drama, then they might as well show GTO, too. :D

"Through the Rain"? I was surprised by that one. I mean, the lyrics suits the series and all but... I don't really like the song. ^^;;;; It's too raspy and her voice is inconsistent... it's irritating.
My sister bashes me about saying that since she loves the song and Mariah Carey but that's my opinion anyway. ^_^
GTO? I've seen links for that. I thought it was anime? Will download after I finish YUA. :D

There was a live-drama for that. I also want to see Love and Pop by Anno (the live-drama version also shows Yukie Nakama!)

Yup. I've heard of that. It's taiwanese... oh wait, do they have a Japanese version, too? ^_^ Hmm... I wonder if it's downloadable or something... *rubs hands gleefully* Does anyone know where I can download other doramas? So far the pages I go to have Beautiful Life, MG2 (but MG2 eps can be more reliably acquired from Kazaa), Monkey King, GTO, Ring, Yamato Nadeshiko, Wedding Planner... etc.
I want to watch/download, but I don't know which ones are good. ^^;;;; Of course I wanted to watch YUA because it was anime-based and I'm familiar with the characters. But now because of MG and YUA, my friend who's in Indonesia (they get Taiwanese dramas there) and that JDorama forum I've been in, I'm curious about other Asian soaps. So, if you guys have any suggestions, I'm listening. ^.^

Meron na ata Marmalade Boy, although I'm not sure...basta yung actor sa Live Action Marmalade Boy is one of the F4 actors, since Ken (my darling)! :wub:
I'm not sure if this is accurate, as I don't know Marmalade Boy's storyline. I'm still waiting for my sibs to finish watching the series so I can confirm this. But it has something to do with swapping spouses and both families living in the same house.
Basta nandun si Ken, masaya na ako :wub: :wub: :wub:
Pero syempre, this post is not anyway related to Taiho Shichauzo Live Action. :P
Maybe I'll just create a topic under the Entertainment section for Anime turned Live Action Series. :D
